I had a fantastic experience at Hollywood Pet Hospital. My 10 year old cat was referred to Dr. Parkinson for radioactive iodine treatment to treat hyperthyroidism. I had a call from the vet going over the procedure, and they forwarded me more info by email. Unfortunately they had challenges getting the iodine, and the treatment was delayed by about 2 months. Both the vet and the vet tech got in touch with me multiple times to provide an update, see how my cat was doing and answer any questions. When they were able to treat him, I was so impressed with the care he received. The tech sent me updates every couple days, and the staff followed up with pics of my cat while in hospital (as I wasn't allowed to visit). He did very well, and I truly felt like he was cared for while in hospital. I've received follow up calls about bloodwork done by my regular vet just to ensure I was aware of the results. I was so impressed and felt me and my pet were completely cared for.

My experience with this place ( not worthy of the name hospital in my opinion) was horrible and borderline disgraceful. Leading up to the I-131 treatment for our cat they were all over us with scare tactics and phoney concern. The Stellys location roped us in for over 2000.00 before referring us to Hollywood. The information given to us was a far cry from service and care promised. They referred to Latte's stay as a "spa vacation" and during the week stay he would be checked 3 times a day, food and water checked and fresh and not to mention exercise daily and fresh air vent in his room. The shot was given on a Wednesday, the doctor left and did not return until after the August long weekend,,staff also! I was told someone would stop in once a day to "check". My cat came home traumatized and it took us a week to calm him and his crying to stop ( he was hoarse from crying) we took him home Aug4th and as of today Sept 18th not a call, email or any contact from them! I could go on and will

i have been going to this clinic and to the Central Saanich outlet of Shaw pet hospitals for nearly 10 years with my dog. They fixed her broken leg and saved her life when she had hemolitic anemia. They are the best vets in town and i tell all my friends!

Great staff who really care about their clients. They're a smaller hospital so they can't do everything but they really provide great service.
