Never again. They do not own up to their mistakes due to lack of effective communication skills.

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gates, Dr. Baar and all the professional and caring staff. They took care of our first dog for most of her life, and have been a huge help with our new puppy. They are thorough, conscientious and patient. The clinic is spotlessly clean, appointments easy to make (and change!), provide knowledgeable handouts, home made dog biscuits, and a caring attitude that is second to none. Most importantly, they are relentless in providing proper and accurate diagnoses and treatment, but make you feel you are part of the decision-making process. The icing on the cake is how unhurried they have been with us in for each and every visit.

No, no and no. I think I was overcharged so the clinic could catch up on financial loses due to COVID.iidental estimate went from $900 to $1,500.

I've found that this clinic doesn't take the time to explain everything and suggests expensive treatments for my cat, when I'm not sure it's needed. I question their treatment plan and costs and have decided seek a second opinion elsewhere.

I filed a complaint against Dr. Baar at the Fisher Glen Animal Hospital with the Ontario College of Veterinarians (OVC) for the rude and disrespectful manner in which she dealt with me as a client. This speaks volumes. The OVC had the complaint investigated by three veterinarians (with not a single member of the public on the panel which is clearly a conflict of interest) so not surprisingly the decision did not go in my favour. It has been appealed to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board of Ontario. Every time I questioned Dr. Baar about the dog food or medication she was prescribing for my dog she became highly defensive and sarcastic. I found her to be a very cold individual with poor communications skills. On one occasion she prescribed an antibiotic for my dog before taking a culture and sending it away for analysis. When the medication wasn't working she had the absolute 'gall' to accuse me of not administering it to my dog. Another hospital took a culture and found tha

I use Dr Gates. She is wonderful. And all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I cannot imagine one of them suggesting someone turn their pet into the Humane Society. I suspect that this is an oversimplification of the actual conversation. I have used other vets and emergency services. Fisher Glen is very reasonable and not out of line, as far as price is concerned, at all.

The staff and the vets are wonderful, knowlegeabe, helpful and they will go out of their way to help their clients and furry patients. I can not understand how someone can give them a mediocre rating let alone trash them. I have been to other clinics where my pet was handled with a broom. I know this would never happen at this clinic. They care about animals as if they were their own. I know my pet is in good hands when we bring him in. They also follow up on how the pets are doing all the time. I never had that kind of service from other clinics. I love the staff and the vets. Keep up the good work guys.

Honestly, $440 for 6 months' revolution and heartworm exams for two dogs is a bit ridiculous. The staff has been great but the vets are always cold. I am currently shopping around for somewhere less gougy.

We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The staff members took the time to get to know my dog and make him comfortable before the appointment. We had a half hour appointment so we did not feel rushed and the doctor had time to answer all of our questions. We left feeling like we mattered to the staff and most important of all, our dog loved it there. We will be back for sure!
