We have been taking our pets to Matthews for 8 years. The staff are animal lovers which makes my shy dog feel more at ease. Easy to get an appointment time and they truly care about me and my pets. We tell everyone we know about Matthews. Keep up the good work!

Waited for 40 minutes. Looked at dog for 5 minutes and charged $70 to tell me they would refer to a surgeon and would be $130 for consultation. Overpriced and not helpful

I fell in love with Matthews because one of their vets, Dr. Cox, was able to perform a surgery on my cat that I, otherwise, would have had to travel to the Guelph to get in order to save my cat. He was a wonderful man and a skilled surgeon. The surgery was very expensive but i expected that. However, on subsequent visits to this vet, I never actually saw Dr. Cox again, and I found out from one of the other vets that Matthews is owned by a large company that owns multiple clinics in the city. That really changes my opinion because it is my belief that a clinic owned and operated privately by a veterinarian is going to give you more personal care and attention. Lastly, when I took my dog there about a skin problem and a limp, the vet wasn't able to diagnose the skin condition and wanted me to pay $130 for a blood test. And the limp also went without a diagnoses, but she still prescribed painkillers. I have since found something stuck in his paw and won't be going to back there.

Had them for our golden, and got great care, from time of adoption at age 7 to final goodbyes at age 13. They were great, even that last day. Now we have two cats.. And we did go to another vet with one (once) and found the waiting room over booked, hours sucked and reception wasn't any better. Went back to Matthews for both cats and are very happy we did. They are not as cheap as the other, but the care and the on time appointments ( less stress for the animal) is worth it.

Neutered my 30 lb dog $200. Blood in urine post operation because of there mistake170 more. These crooks gave my otherwise perfectly healthy puppy an internal infection in what i suspect was a surgical error or unsanitary conditions. They had the audacity to make me pay for it without explanation. Do not take your pet here they will most certainly take advantage of your love for your animal with there greedy agenda

This veterinary clinic is a clean, healthy, and happy place for pets and their families. The care, love, and treatment my pets recieved from every single faculty member at this facility was amazing. The surgical staff here are abundantely talented. After having a surgery performed at this facility my pet had to stay with the vet for a couple of days for observation. The next day when I went to visit my pet I was expecting to see her in a cage resting on a pillow. Instead when I went into the back there was an employee sitting at a computer desk doing paperwork and beside her another chair. In the second chair was my pet, just simply sleeping and resting. It was literally heart warming.
