5/14/14   1     3     3     1   I had called this clinic to book my dog in to get fixed and not only received very rude service over the phone (like I was a nuisance, really) BUT, the girl also flat out REFUSED to fix my dog because she didn't have her shots yet!! I even explained that I couldn't afford to do them both and that I could do the shots a month or so later and she still absolutely would not book my dog in!! Clearly this place is all about the money they can make off of you and if you can't afford their "fancy service" you are beneath them and are treated as such! Luckily I found a clinic that was actually interested in my dogs health and not my wallet. RID: 51571
Click to report rating    4/3/14   5     5     5     5   Dr. Barry has been looking after my cat for 5 years. She has always made a point of going through all the concerns that we have. when he had a bladder infection she and the staff were very thorough and gentle with him. All the staff at the clinic are very friendly and loving to my baby when he is there. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Barry to everyone. RID: 50858

Click to report rating    3/22/14   5     5     5     5   The team at Best Friends takes such good care of my pet - as well as me and my anxieties! - that I'm willing to drive out from Edmonton. Bright, clean facility; cheerful, helpful staff and a patient, informative vet make every experience a great one. RID: 50634
Click to report rating    3/4/14   5     5     5     5   Brought a cat having urinary tract issues, gave me sound advice and was very empathetic and obviously and animal lover. She greats me now as 'Coles Mom' which I find endearing. I like that they are an established clinic and their staff is always kind and courteous. I would recommend the group at Best Friends Animal Hospital RID: 50311
Click to report rating    3/4/14   5     5     5     5   I take my lab to Best Friends every year for his shots. When I wanted to change his food, Dr. Berry recommended Science Diet from the pet store reather than the more expensive prescription diets from her clinic which were unnecessery. I was impressed that she offered me a cheaper alterative but still great quality and taste that my dog loves. Dr. Berry is a great vet. I enjoy dealing with all her staff and feel my dog is getting the highest level of care possible. RID: 50302
12/13/13   5     3     5     3   I really love Dr Barry and all the girls at Best Friends. Everytime I walk in someone comes over to say hi to my cat and express how happy they are to see him. If he needs blood work done, they are talking to him as they carry him in and cuddling him to reassure him as opposed to just hauling him away (experienced at another vet.) I also feel that Dr Barry truly cares about the animals in her care and I really appreciate how she explains things and why she is recommendinging/not recommendinging certain treatments. My cat is 17 and we have a plan in place to ensure he remains healthy and happy. I have seen issues on here for pricing - I think it's just the vet business. It is expensive, but no moreso than I have seen at other vets (haven't had to have surgery done - I am speaking to shots, bloodwork, xrays). They rec vet food and it is expensive, but like a nutritionist would reccommend chicken breast instead of Kraft dinner for kids - it is better for them. RID: 48756
Click to report rating    8/27/13   2     4     3     2   I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and we started taking him here when we got him a few months ago. Things were reasonable when he was getting his shots until she asked what I was feeding him. I told her, and as it was not one of the brands that the office promotes, told me Acana is garbage and I need to switch. He has had some intestinal issues the past few days so I took him back, not wanting to make things worse. Since it was such a sudden occurence of diarrhea I don't think it was his food, but she insists it is and pretty much said "I told you so". I think I'll be looking for a new vet. RID: 46569
Click to report rating    8/25/13   2     3     4     1   I took one of my cats into this clinic for a second opinion. She ran very expensive blood tests and quoted me $900 for dental work! The blood tests revealed nothing and I ended up going to another veterinary clinic and had his dental work done - successfully - for only $250.! This clinic is all about the money! RID: 46519
