Last week, my dog started to become uninterested in food and was coughing on and off. At first, we though he may have a dental problem but the refusal to eat food and the coughing and gagging was very concerning so we booked an appointment at this clinic to have the doctor take a look at his teeth and run some tests to see if something else could be wrong. I was able to get him an appointment this past Saturday, September 12, and the doctor came in, had ME open his mouth and looked from across the room and said “yes, he needs scaling and possibly more. We’re the cheapest in town for this service.” Please bear in mind, he did not even come close to my small dog, so he couldn’t possibly have seen his mouth properly. I mentioned the fact that he has been refusing food and has been coughing and gagging several times and he told me he’s fine, it’s just his teeth. My dog was distressed but they said they would take blood work and proceeded to hand me a muzzle for him, which I completely unde

It’s all about the money. I think the reason they’re giving Walmart prices is so they can grow their clientele base, It’s definitely quantity over quality. I was extremely disappointed in the low level of service from the owner of the practice. He just can’t get out that door fast enough! I think he wants the visit to be five minutes long!

phoned for imformation on dog teeth cleaning was told of aprox pricess.liked what i heard ,however when i went for a pelimery check ir quickley raised to a couple of hundred dollars more closs to 600 funney my dog only has 5 teeth in her mouth tried to explane that i am disabled senior on a verry small income .her response was pay 150 now for blood work then save the rest over 3 months and come back does not seam verry carring to me, i guess there is no thing as a simple carring country vet anymore. too bad they were a godsend.that loved all animals befor cash

The doctor only cares about the amount of clients that walks through those doors, that's why they're so cheap. Quantity over quality. My cat has a history of constipation. He's around 10 now and has been constipated a total of three times in his lifetime. When I brought him in a couple of weeks ago, without checking my cat first, the doctor jumps to recommending an X-ray and surgery. I agree to the x ray. He brings me back to see the results without explaining to me what it looks like. He wanted us to get in and get out quickly. We asked how we could prevent constipation, he said you can't. Claimed to have done an enema for our cat and excused us on our way. Only to find out an enema wasn't done, our cat was still constipated and we brought him to the vet hospital. The hospital did a much needed explanation and tips on how to help our cat. Point is: they're cheap but I would definitely get a second opinion. Money matters more to these people than your pets. My pet needs care.

One of the receptions there is very incompetent and rude. Unfortunately I did not get her name. She kept on insisting we are no longer patients there even though we are active and we only had our cats' vaccination done last month!!! The doctor is very good though. Sorry I need to give this 1 star rating because of that stupid receptionist. Advise to the owner of the clinic. Fire that person. She is giving your clinic a bad name.

Maybe I had to high of expectation as I was told good things about this clinic. But that was not my experience. First off, the clinic is not very clean, considering it is suppose to be new as they just moved. Secondly, the Dr. didn't introduce himself to me or to my 11 week old puppy, it was straight to business, even though this was my puppies first visit to this clinic. The Dr didn't ask me any questions about Charlie, didn't ask me when I got him, didn't ask me if I had any concerns or anything. I even asked if he could cut Charlie's nails as I have never done it before, he cut 1 nail, and said that is how you do it. I didn't receive any information for future appointment, he used the Vet record card from the breeders vet and signed off on shots, even though i didn't get the second shots at that breeders clinic. Didn't get any welcoming package with pamphlets or anything not even a vet record from that clinic. WILL NOT RETURN! Will NOT RECOMMEND!!

A clinic that is all about the animals not the profits. Well done, the Doctors and staff are professional, informative and very kind.The doctor's assistant Tyler is very thorough with the after care instructions. Very please to have access to this kind of care for reasonable pricing.

Terrible experience with this clinic? I told them he was getting worse, and ask if they had the blood results in, I was told the did and the dr would call me back. He never returned my 2 calls and the 3rd time a called I was on hold for 22 min. My 1st call was at noon, the 2nd call was at 4 pm, the 3rd call was at 5.15 pm and I was on hold for 22 min. When I finally did talk to him I was told he had not reviewed the results and he was doing it then. His original thought was that Toby had diabetes or renal failure. When he gave me the results he told me everything was fine and Toby had an infection to come by and get some antibiotics for him. I did that and was told Toby would improve in 48 hrs when the meds kicked in. After 48 hours he did not improve and was even worse, we took him to the vet hospital where they told us within 10 min that Toby had diabetes and was critical. Toby did not improve and we lost him. Beddington dr and staff have to care or interest in Toby or helping him

Really surprised by some reviews. Perhaps there may have been some personality conflicts? I've been to many vets in lethbridge, edmonton, calgary, and vancouver island. These guys are the first ones I felt didnt overcharge or suggest unnecessary procedures or tests. The receptionists are always super friendly and accomodating. You get in relatively quickly and feel attended to throughout the experience. This facility is not glitzy (think strip mall and white walls) but that allows them to keep their costs down, which they pass on to us. The last poster that commented on the $50 charge? Thats what they charge to see the vet (compare at $90-100 elsewhere). Dental cost about 1/5 of the other quote i had and I wasnt required to come in for a consult prior to the scheduled date (saving another $50). They did look my dog over day of to confirm he was healthy enough for the procedure. If they would have turned us away at that point, I would expect to pay the consult fee not initially assessed

Beddington Trail vet Dr Atal stiffed me. I had set up an appointment to have a canine tooth extracted, I was clear with the receptionist; she had had discussed the procedure with Dr Atal, the conversation could be heard over the phone line in the background. I even visited the clinic prior to the appointment to confirm what was to be done. On the day of the appointment, Dr Atal lifted my dogs lip, announced that it was the canine tooth that was damaged and he didn't have confidence that he could successful pull the tooth. So he spends 5 minutes with my dog and charged me $50.00 for his non-services. Clearly this was a case of padding his wallet at my expense. He should not have charged a fee for work that he was not going to do.

I brought my 5 dogs and 3 cats into this clinic for their annual shots and check ups. The Dr was very thorough with my animals and took his time examining each one to ensure all of them were healthy. (It took him an hour and a half because 8 animals is a lot) He did a great job and for this many pets I only paid $400 for everything! Great prices and the front staff were really friendly and helpful as well!

The vet we saw was super friendly, the prices were amazing, and the clinic was clean and tidy. Our old vet made me leave nearly in tears last time, saying I don't pay attention to my dog; making me feel like I didn't deserve my dog when I KNOW I do. This vet was extremely nice and made me feel like I made the right choice by switching! The last vet charged $85 for vaccinations, $50 for a physical (for new patients), and $25 for a heartworm preventative. Today was our first visit & I paid $88 for vaccinations + physical for one dog, Revolution heartworm prevention for both. Quite a better deal!!!

I had great experience with this vet. I went there to get yearly shots for my dad's dog. Doctor was very good with us and prices very reasonable. Next week we are taking our dog for neuter surgery. I would recommend this vet to my friends and family.

Great clinic with great staff and very reasonable prices. Bladder stone removal surgery cost was 500$ only while we were quoted more than 1500$ by the previous vet clinic. Services are great and dr.Atal is very nice and caring man. God bless you guys.

Free treatment for our dog covered by arf. We were misinformed and had to see another vet. Got allergy testing here and 10 allergies came back and 0 suggestions on how we can treat and help. Now our dog is lying on floor with an infected face from scratching because his allergies weren't treated which brought his mange back. Vets asked me what I thought was wrong. Animal health specialists asking me what I think the problem is. Don't bring your dog here unless you want to think everything is okay and have much larger problem in future.

I found my dog passed away in the yard, brought him to this vet..they were NOT sympathetic, rude, made us wait for 20mins to pay for his cremation, sitting in the waiting room upset. they were not compationate and seems almost annoyed. It was such an awful thing ton lose my baby, and then deal with them....it was just horrible.

I switched vets recently to this clinic. It is far and Above my old clinic and the cost for services is low. The vet went through lengths to explain things to me and make me feel comfortable. I didn't feel rushed at all like I did at the old place. I will be a lifelong client!

When my senior cat required dental cleaning and a possible extraction, I was stressed. I was told by my previous vet that this would cost me well over thousand dollars, I even got a quote for $1600. Doing a web search, I found that Dr. Atal would be the most reasonable. I had no idea how reasonable! Instead of $1100 for cleaning, it cost me 250. I asked the receptionist, why is it so inexpensive? She told me simply that they do their work on volume not on inflating costs for services. Dr. Atal was very very kind, took time to explain to me what was done with my kitty, and made sure she was doing well. The day after the anesthesia wore off my cat is healthy and happy. I highly recommend this veterinarian.

I found the staff and vets very helpful and happy. Never having a puppy before they made me feel comfortable that I found a good vet. I have taken my rescue cat and feel even happier that my boys have a good doctor.

we are fairly new to calgary and we were looking for a new vet, we had taken our toy poddle to a larger clinic on country hills blvd and I was astonished by the fees charged for their services or lack there of, we found Dr Atal and he gave us better service and was 1/2 the price of the other clinic. He even wanted to charge us the quoted price as he did extra work during the oral surgury. I paid the extra monies for the extra work, but loved his honesty! the after care and explanation was great as this showed he cared. we will be seeing him soon as we have to take our other toy poodle in to get looked at. It is nice to see a Vet actually care about the patient and owner rather than just the Fee. I would refer Dr. Atal to anyone

I rated this vet. clinic a perfect score because my husband & I have 3 dogs and was given Dr. Atal's name from Dr. Torrance. Dr. Atal doesn't charge a walk in fee like all the other vets do. We first took our 18 years old dog in and the doctor was very very honest with us as to his condition when other vet's would have requested thousands of dollars worth of test be done. Today we took our youngest dog in and the Dr. gave him a free shot of antibiotics and squeezed his anal gland for free. The med's that he sent home for him were very cheap (campaired to all the other vet's, less that 1/2 price) Next week I'm taking our other dog in for a check-up. He is a great Doctor and he cares about the pets,(not the rip off) and his staff are amazing. Thank God we found him. I understand why Dr. Torance has recommended Dr. Atal

After many years of going to the same vet because of convenience and location, I finally switched to Beddigton Trail Animal Hospital and so glad that I did, I have met two of the most wonderful caring doctors. The pricing is excellent, the office is so much cleaner and brighter than previous. I found all of the staff very friendly and knowlegeable .I highly recommend this facility for all your pets needs.

I'm sad because i did like this vet. Our cat went missing and i called them and they said they'd put a note up (they are our vet). We seen our cat on the pound website and found out it was our cat. AND the Beddington vet called for him to go there (so much for putting a note up). Plus they said the tattoo was unreadable (which was done by Beddington Vet Clinic this past Oct 2012) and so they couldn't call us. So we paid for a tattto that is not readable and our vet sent our family pet to the pound to be adopted. We were devistated and have been heart broken since we lost him. I called the vet office, the lady at the front couldn't find our paperwork at first and insisted it wasn't done there until she found the p.work and not a sorry not a word. We intend to visit them personally and discuss how our family almost lost our family pet because we entrusted their work with our pet. Otherwise we had liked their work. (shots, neuture etc).

I took my 6-month old puppy for neutering surgery on September 21. The staff and doctors were so nice and friendly. The surgery was very good and my puppy has been recovering very well in the last five days! Highly recommend this clinic!

I've taken my puppy here for his shots and neutering. Had a few questions and the staff never hestitated to help or get the Vet on the line. Offered to have my puppy come in to get checked for free when he developed a little lump after his rabies shot. The first Vet I went to for a general check-up when I got him charged me the same price to look at my puppy for two minutes as this clinic did for two sets of shots and flea medication. I was much happier with the service.

I feel this man does not know his field well. Owner is arrogant and defensive and strange in his dealings when things went wrong. I had to bring my animal back to BTAH a day after $300 surgery and spend another $200 for bloodwork at BTAH. I then had to consult animal Specialist to get proper treatment(another $300). Both Specialist and second opinion vet were aghast at dosage of Prednisone prescribed. Second opinion vet was also aghast that animal was sent home with me after surgery and just barely awake. A red flag to me should have been their staff description on their web site. I suggest pet owners spend the extra money and go to a long- standing vet business who knows his/her field and who have a variety of staff on site who will stand behind you if things go wrong in their care. I completely regret taking my animal to this place.
