Pat and I are extremely grateful for everything that you and your teams have done for us with both our dogs Gigi and Tommy over a course of 27 years. We have always been served with true compassion and concern for both our dogs up to the end. The visits have always been diagnosed and communicated clearly to us both even for small concerns as well as the difficult issues. Whenever we brought our dogs in, we were always confident in knowing they would be safely looked after and in their best interests .We cannot express our most sincere thanks enough when you assisted with Tommy's second leg surgery giving him 5 more wonderful years with us !!! In closing, Pat and I are most grateful for the care and compassion that you, Dr. Ranjit, Dr. Simranjit and your teams provided over the years. We will always recommend you to family and friends!!!! Highly recommend Dr. Parmar as your family vet. He is honest, professional, genuine and really shows care and concern for your animals. He is very generous with his time and I believe his fees and services are significantly less than what other veterinarians charge. You can tell that Dr. Parmar’s first concern is for your pet’s well-being. He truly seems to be in the business of caring for animals.

Dr Parmar is truly wonderful. I moved to Edmonton from Calgary and before I left I found out that my cat had bladder stones and needed surgery to remove them. I was quoted $2000 for the surgery, xrays, and bloodwork at another vet here in Edmonton. Dr Parmar only charged me $1300 which included xrays, and bloodwork! Not only that, but my cat really likes him. Dr Parmar is very gentle with him and I know Dr Parmar and the staff truly care about him, in fact, they were able to get me in right away instead of making me wait as I was very worried about my little fur baby. The service is amazing and the staff care about the animals, there are 2 girls that I usually see, one is blonde, the other has curly brown hair. They made me feel very comfortable when I was upset that my cat had to have a bladder stone surgery. Not only that, but they took care of Simon (my cat) with such love. These girls are amazing and so is Dr Parmar. I would recommend this clinic to everyone I know!!

Dr. Parmar and all the staff at Edmonton North Animal Hospital are the best. I have 3 dogs in which they have taken good care of all of them. Once of my three is a pitbull, who is not the nicest dog. The clinic treats Deuce like their own, shows him affection and love. Recently Deuce had some issues with some lumps, they took him over night, and when I arrived at the clinic Deuce was roaming (mind you there were no other dogs or cats roaming in the clinic). He appeared content, and happy, he wasn't even wearing a muzzle. Dr. Parmar was able to show me his wound buy bringing his leg up, something that I don't even attempt. I will never go to another clinic, because I know that they have the best interest of my fur babies.

This is a great clinic! Our cat had 2 serious issues back to back and Dr. Parmar was amazing in helping us. He went above and beyond in both situations and his prices were great. The front staff was also great in getting us in quickly to see him and informing us how things were going. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs a veterinarian.

Dr Parmar is by far the best vet I have ever taken my fur children to visit.
He has now been my vet for about 11 years. hes always honest, is a phenomenal surgeon, loves the animals and is kind and considerate no matter what the emergency is. He has a heart of gold.We have now moved 35 minutes away from Dr Parmar, and tried some local vets and none compare to him. He does not do unnecessary blood tests or anything which REALLY STANDS OUT! As everywhere else seems to scam you and drain your pockets. We are now back with Dr P( and his staff). I think I would drive 1 hour to see him :) He has been a blessing to me and my babies. The receptionists also always try to accommodate appointment scheduling which I also like since we don't live close. The staff is just so friendly and greet you with a smile when you come in. It's obvious the staff and the Doctor at Edm North truly care about the pets they're taking care of, and it means the world to us!

I just had my first visit to Edmonton North Animal Hospital ... Being new to the city , I didn't have a local vet . So, I just went to the one closest to my house (being edmonton north animal hospital) From the min i walked in I found the front staff to be awesome ! My dog is very high strung and its nearly impossible to get an accurate weight on her as she refuses to stay on the scale . The front staff was actually able to have her calm down and for the first time I can re-call - got an accurate weight . My visit with Dr.P was also great ! I could tell her actually cared about the dog and my dogs history , My dog has had previous knee replacements and the doctor was thorough in the exam as well as looking closely at the surgery done on the knees . I would 100% be back to this vet . I enjoyed the friendly front staff and the knowledge the doctor had , as it was obvious he had dealt with many pets surgeries in his career . Thanks again Dr P and staff you guys are truly amazing !

My dogs Bert and Gus have been seeing Dr. Parmar for 3 years now, both are older and Dr. Parmar and all his staff have been beyond helpful and wonderful each time I brought them in. My dog Bert had a large abscess that nearly took his life and Dr. Parmar went above and beyond the call of duty and treated my furbaby and saved his life! I brought him in as soon as the injury happened and did not wait a few days and he was able to give him all the care needed. The staff were all so compassionate and caring and giving me updates on how he was doing while in hospital. I am forever grateful and humbled by Dr. Parmar and all the staff at Edmonton North Animal Hospital;THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! I

We have taken all of our fur family to DR PARMAR for years,with no TROUBLE UNTIL WE HAD TO BRING IN JACOB OUR SWEET CAT.WE BROUGHT HIM IN ON WENSDAY MAY 24TH DR STAYED IN TOUCH WITH US THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT AND DAY WE WERE THERE CONSTANTLY TO SEE HIS SITUATION GO FROM WORSE TO GOOD >DR PARMAR CALLED US AFTER 5;00 AM TO TELL US JACOB WAS A MIRACLE AND WAS DOING MUCH BETTER (good heart rate ,good breathing ,good tempature .HE BLINKING, HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO A GOOD RECOVERY.ON SATURDAY MORNING WHILE STILL REELING FROM THE TRAUMA OF OUR BOY BEING SICK DR PARMAR STARTED ASKING US TO GO ON VETRATINGZ .COM TO POST SOMETHING VERY NICE ABOUT HIM >THIS WAS THE WORST TIME FOR HIM TO KEEP ASKING US. Words cannot express the Gratitude I feel for dr. Parmar and his staff. I found a cat that was clearly in distress on the road, my client said that he had been there for 24 hours and while they had called two different Edmonton Animal Services, no one would come to his Aid. I picked him up and brought him into the nearest clinic which happened to be Edmonton North Animal Hospital and Dr. Parmar. Without hesitation Dr.Parmar started to examine this cat. He determined that the cat had a previous injury that had healed incorrectly but that there was no swelling so it didn't look recent, a free x-ray confirmed his suspicions. This was clearly a roaming cat. His nails were extremely long, he was matted and he was an intact Tom. I brought the cat in at 12:15 today. By 2,he was checked to ensure that there was no owner to claim him. Dr. Parmar neutered him, took care of Matt's, anal glands, his nails and an examination and x-ray. Best Vet and Kindest Heart by far!! 10 stars!!!

Dr. Parmar is fantastic! I've been bringing my dog to this clinic for over six years now. Despite moving across the city, I have not switched clinics and will continue to bring my dog here knowing that he is in good hands with Dr. Parmar (and all the staff).

The Doctor here is a barbarian! He is insensitive to animals and personal feelings and I will never use this facility again! He should not be dealing with animals and should have his practice taken away! The rest of the staff is awesome! Unfortunately this one bad seed ruined the whole facility! Go elsewhere!!!!

My own vet that we have gone too for years would not even take us in because they were busy and told us to find another vet because it was an emergency situation that my dog had! These guys were busy also but Dr. Parmar was not going to let my dog go untreated so they got her in. He also only charged us for 2 surgeries and 2 over night stays what my vet had quoted for just ONE of the surgeries! My dog getting the treatment she needed was more important to him then making the money off of it. So he made both surgeries VERY affordable! I think after MANY years with our other vet it is time to switch to Dr. Parmar who I saw clearly treated my dog like a family member and not just a pet…. He also took time out of his SUNDAY to give us a call to update us on our dog's condition putting my 5 year olds mind at ease. I am very fussy when it comes to my fur babies and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Edmonton North Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets :)

Dr Parmar was very good and knowledgeable. The vet assistant was very helpful. The clinic was crowded, but the staff dealt with the people and animals fairly and professionally even when one of the customers was demanding and outright rude. They took good care of my cat and explained how to care for him at home. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who cares about their pet.

Dr. Parmar and his staff treated us with respect and sympathy during a very sad illness with our cat. I used Dr.Parmar as a second opinion and unlike our first opinion, Dr. P never tried to take advantage financially. The news was devastating but prevented our pet from further suffering.

Prescribe vet-only supplied pet food, then don't stock it. The shelves are bare. Can barely understand the head doctor (not his fault). Rude customer service. Have changed vets.

Dr. Parmar has taken care of all of our animals since he opened the clinic. He has helped us in so many ways, even takes our calls after hours in case of emergency and has met us at the clinic when we lost our cat one evening. I can't say enough about how fantastic they are.

We have been going to Dr Parmar for over 2yrs. He is amazing! He takes such good care of my fur babies, I wouldn't trust them to anyone else. He doesn't charge you your first born. I recommend him to all friends who have pets.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr Parmar for a few years now, and he has been nothing but compassionate and caring. When we had to put my 20 year old cat down due to serious medical issues, it was only done after he had done all he could all day to try to save her. When we had to make the choice to either keep letting her suffer or let her go, it was done with complete consideration for our grieving. He gives you the straight goods, and charges alot less than other clinics. I had to take my boy cat into animal emerg in the wee hours due to blockage, and it cost a fortune. Dr Parmar saw him when he blocked again and didn't charge me as he knew what we had been through financially. All I can say to the naysayers is get to know the vet, ask questions and schedule the time to talk to him as you would your family Dr. Come in prepared with the questions you want to ask. I have referred people to him and will continue to do so as I believe he is in this business because he genuinely cares.

The first people to ever post any sort of reviews are always those who have had bad experiences, and they will be sure to tell EVERYONE. Good experiences however often go unmentioned. So here i go. This was my first time at Edmonton North and having had bad experiences in the past, I am blown away with how great they have been. Dr. Parmar and his staff definitely were awesome at answering any questions, I didn't get charged an astronomical amount to fix up the cat I had just recently taken into my home and kept my big guy over the weekend to make a lot less work for me. I will defdefinitey be bringing my other pets here in the future.

Not sure where the comments about clinic cleanliness originate; I have never encountered animal odours - clinic is always clean and hygienic. Dr. Parmar takes excellent care of our pets. He always takes the time to explain the diagnosis and all possible options - and supports any decisions I make. He was especially kind when our family had to say goodbye to our darling Zeke, and mourned our loss with us. Appointments are easy to schedule and we are never rushed in our visits. I always leave with the confidence knowing my dogs have received the care they need and I have received the knowledge I need to care for them. Dr. Parmar knows my pets and me by name; not because he demands repeated visits to charge me as much as possible, but because my dogs' care is a team effort between Dr. Parmar and me. I travel all the way from Morinville to bring my pets to his clinic - definitely worth the drive!

I had been bringing my cat & dog in for a number of years to Dr. Parmar. Over the years staff changed quickly from knowledgable to not. That made me wonder what they know to be true and the good staff therefore left. Dr. P. mis-diagnosed and my cat ended up being euthanized. It was the most horrible experience as I could not afford the extra $100 to stay with my cat, he was alone. Now I even wonder if he was euthanized or not & just left to suffer as I could not get definitive answer of time of day etc. from front staff when I called. The reason given for extra charge to be with my pet during euthinization from Dr. Parmar was that he has to use more equipment if I am in the room! Why should my loved one be treated any different whether I'm there or not? I was under the guise of caring but when probs happened, truth came out that it's all about $. I will NEVER return and subject another of my pets to this clinic.

my dog ate a whole box of chocolates and i called this clinic to ask what i should do. they said to come in right away and that's it. so i came and they weighed my dog and the doctor comes in showing me a book that says chocolates are very bad for your dog. he then said that he needs to perform some procedures and it will cost about $500. i told him i don't have the money right now and i refused the required procedures. he said i will still have to pay the physical exam fee of $90. i asked him why i should pay when he didn't even do anything. they only weighed my dog and showed me a fricken book. so i told him i don't have any money to pay him and he made me stay there until i pay him. he was screaming and talking down at me which was very unprofessional and rude. you can't even understand what he's saying because of his accent. even the front desk was rude and seemed to have no knowledge at all. they wrote a letter and made me sign that i have to pay them. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!!!

This place is awful! I brought my puppy perfectly healthy to get neutered which dr.parmar had suggested. A few hours later I get the call he passed away. He couldn't even explain what happened. I was demanding a explanation and got the run around. We are so devastated this happened to our amazing loved puppy. I will never go back and recommend people please stay away he is awful!

Never ever refusing to see me, always doing everything possible to get my pet healthy I am chocked at the rating below as anyone who states such crap about you & your clinic should be held accountable for there slander you are certified you have all the credentials to back it up in view for anyone to see, which have been there since you opened. For someone to state that garbage & not sign there name to it makes me think that perhaps this person is trying to better there own clinic or maybe it is a former staff member who didn't like to be let go. Parmar is horrible he mis diagnosed my dog and did unneccasry procedures on him for two weeks finally I took him to another vet and he had partial paralyisi in back legs and two slipped disks in his back and Dr. Parmar said he was just overeating and my dog was in pain suffering for two weeks he doesn't know anything and doesn't care either !! so angry!!!! and his front desk is awful and rude worst service ever!

Please do NOT take your pet to this vet Dr Parmar is NOT a animal lover he is only interest in the $ sign. Our dog was in pain and needed teeth extracting he promised he could carry out the procedure, we dropped him of in the morning he said he would be sedating him at 11 I called in at 1pm and still had looked at him called again at 3-30 and he said he couldn't do it as he said half the tooth was missing which was not the case one third max so we called him later to pick him up in worse condition than when we dropped him of obviously groggy from the anesthetic his muzzle was scratched and he was bleeding from the mouth, and obviously his mouth was now no lighter with the none removal of the teeth only my wallet to the tune of $200 not only has he no empathy for the animals he is a con artist.

Can't express my gratitude enough.Dr. Parmar and Crystal took such great care of our cat Tikkenz. Tikki had to stay in the clinic for 8 days after a very hard dental/facial surgery. They were so thoughtful to let him have an exam room to himself during the day, when it wasn't needed, so that he could have some room to move around. We also go to use an exam room to visit anytime we came to visit. Crystal was always very kind any time I called to check in or get an update. I am not sure if Tikki would have made it if we took him anywhere else. Dr. Parmar was able to find the problem without expensive testing (which we could not afford). He performed the surgery and kept an watchful eye on Tikki until he felt he was well enough to go home. You can tell that he truly cares for animals by the treatment he provides. I am forever greatful for everything they did. Tikki is doing great and I know I can always count on Dr. Parmar and his staff if my animals need medical care. Thank you!!

Dr Parmar is a amazing vet. He has always helped me out when my 2 pups Link and Nova when they have been ill and never refused to see them. I couldn't asked anything more of him, he has a true connection with my pups and truly cares about getting them healthy and keeping them that way. I can trust his opinion with there care and know that he will always go above and beyond to care for my pups. I have and would certainly recommend Dr. Parmar to anyone who needs a caring vet. There has been quite a few times that I have had to rush my little one in with gastro infections as he gets really sick and he is always there to help no matter what, I just showed up as a emergency and he takes us in even if it is almost closing time. I can count on him do what is necessary to help my pups. His knowledge and expertise is outstanding which makes him such a caring vet that you can trust and know he will do whatever he can to help...Dr Parmar thank you for all you have done for Link and Nova....

I truly enjoyed this doctor, we had to go to him for an emergency, he was good, and thorough, we had been going to another doctor for 30 years, but when it came down to an emergency, they were too busy wouldn't help and said just go to the emergency clinic, after 30 years you would think they would be more accomodating, he is priced right and gave us his cell for any questions

We had been taking our puppy here for about a year, when we noticed he had a lump on his leg, we took him in to this clinic and the Dr. took one look at it and said "it needs to be removed, I'll charge you $380 which is a very good price." Not knowing any better and trusting the vet we went ahead with the procedure, in hindsight this was the worst decision we made. The vet never offered any other alternatives (nor did he speak to us after the surgery) and when we got our dog home the only instructions were to take the bandage off the next day..we did and his stitches burst open, we called them and they said that the wound weeping was normal... a wound the size of a dime was now the size of a toonie. Over $4000 later with the help of a new trustworthy vet our dogs leg is finally on the mend. This clinic is focused on the money and not the well being of your pet. Stay far away from this clinic for the sake of your animals!

Always treats my pets just like I do, as a member of the family. Great value, straight answers that you can understand. Small clinic without all the bling. My pets don't need a computer to sign in so I don't put my value in big glass windows so it fits who we are. Thanks doc!

MUCH less than happy with this clinic!!I was hit hard by the smell of urine when I first opened the door. I was given NO pre op instruction (fasting etc) or post op care instruction... I found front desk staff had little knowledge, the vet was impatient and careless about the animals' physical AND mental welfare, (carrying kitten post spay -roughly- by the scruff, poking her teeth -roughly- with his finger to make the point of his age estimate)and spay incisions were HUGE, lumpy, red and inflamed. Cats kennels were full of feces when I got them home. _ Iwas not responsible for the bill here, so I don't know how accurate the "monetary value" rating is.

Dr Parmar is an amazing Doctor and he does care about all pets. My best friend had to end her babies suffering and instead of charging her to the max, he cot all his costs. What should have been thousands turned into only hundreds. My pets are also patients of his and I would trust no other. I have taken them to others that worked with Dr parmar before but I always request him. My babies are very comfortable with him whiich is amazing to say the least, no one likes to go to the doctor. I will continue to go to Dr parmar as long as he practices.

Brought my dog and cat here. Walked in, place smelt like they used cat litter as febreze....thanks. The doctor had the tempermant of pit bull/chihuahua cross that was about to give birth in 10 minutes. Sounded like he watched a lot of Animal Planet in place of going to veterinary school, idiot. Guy wouldn't pet a dog for free but would mate with it for a dollar of Canadian Tire money. Jerk. In all seriousness, great reception/help staff but the doctor is insufferable. He's rude, impatient, and puts on a show in front of customers to act like he cares about anything but his bottom line. If you feel like getting lacklustre pet care and getting all your money back that you spent here after he gets sued and closed down, then there isn't a better place. If you want your pets to be happy and healthy don't step foot in this building.

RUN FROM THIS CLINIC!!! The clinic is in a good location but there is not much parking. When I got there I was greeted but they called my dog a she instead of a he. I had to wait about half an hour for my appointment because the doctor wasn't there. When I did get to see him I got the feeling that all he cared about was my money. I asked at the desk after if he had much experience or if there was another doctor I could see, all I got was a run around. I paid my bill and left. I won't go back, I got the impression that the staff wasn't very knowledgable and that there only concern was my money.
