Click to report rating    5/2/12   5     5     5     5   I saw Dr. Peter Brofman when I learned my dog required care by a veterinary neurologist for a spinal surgery. After researching several available options in the area I elected to see Dr. Brofman at Veterinary Surgical care because of his extensive experience and education, but was then made even more comfortable with my decision when i met him. His confidence put me at ease, as did his thorough explanation of the problem and all different options available for treatment. I have had many friends tell me that veterinarians are out to make a dollar, but it was obvious from our discussions that Dr. Brofman was only concerned about what was best for me and my pet. I would recommend Dr. Brofman and Veterinary Specialty Care to anyone who needs specialized care for their pet. RID: 33957
Click to report rating    1/19/12   5     5     5     5   My dog had surgery performed for a torn cruciate ligament by Dr. Henri Bianucci. He assessed her and explained ALL the options available from surgical to non-surgical to help me make a decision about how best to treat her. I selected a procedure called a TTA and she did fantastically. Everyone there was great to work with. They were patient, caring, and never pushy. Thank you so much. RID: 31657
Click to report rating    1/13/12   5     5     5     5   I met Dr. Brofman in May of 2008. I had brought my dachshund in to see him. He was having uncontrollable pain seizures. I was very scared and no one else had been able to help him. Dr. Brofman had a truthful and honest approach that put me at ease. Upon a neurological exam, it was apparent that something was terribly wrong. It was a "grey" area. Dr. Brofman gently lifted Winston and took him to the back. I was worried. My legs were shaking but I did feel like he was in the best hands possible. He returned to request an MRI. I agreed. Twenty minutes later an MRI revealed a cogential defect at C1 C2. They had not fused together. Dr. Brofman assured me he would be ok. But would require extensive surgery. I did not hesitate. Being only six months old, he had plenty of life ahead of him. He did the surgery and repaired Winston's neck. Now Winston runs and plays. He also diagnosed him with CM and got correct medication to help with his seizures. Thank you Dr. Brofman. RID: 30527
