Click to report rating    9/5/19   2     4     4     3   While I have to say my experience in the office with the doctor and vet tech was good, every other interaction with the front desk - trying to phone, emailing (mail is full and message got kicked back) trying to find out information is exasperating. Why does everything in this day and age have to be a fight to get anything done. Staff is very incompetent and 4 people could not give me the proper web address for the petly.com page, no one can find my cat in the system after asking me 3 times for his name. Hmmmm you think you could ask for my last name - why do I have to prompt staff to do this it's not my job. They booked me an appointment and when called to confirm this poof no appointment! Surprise! Tired of getting passed around on the phone to multiple people who cannot help me. I did not want to speak to Dr. Bell but still got a call trying to pacify me - new staff etc. blah, blah, blah. Will be taking my cat elsewhere. Do not recommend unless you like frustration. RID: 68528
Click to report rating    6/10/19   5     5     5     5   My husband and I have had two cats treated by the veterinarians at Pacific Cat Clinic, and we cannot speak too highly of the care these elderly cats received. Most recently, my husband’s nineteen-year-old cat became suddenly ill, and declined quickly over a weekend. The clinic’s vets dealt with the situation quickly, kindly and with empathy. There was no course other than euthanization, and we were able to hold our lovely companion cat while this took place—a great comfort for both our cat and for us. We have since received a lovely bouquet of flowers and a sympathy note from the clinic. What better and kinder service could there be than this? RID: 68110
Click to report rating    11/23/18   3     3     3     1   I sometimes suspect they are breeding cats to sell these 'rescue kittens' at a high price. Why does the staff never have any information as to where these kittens are found? Very odd. RID: 67034
Click to report rating    6/5/17   5     5     5     5   love this Vet clinic. They are helpful and friendly and remember me and my pets. They have made room for me when I needed to get in right away. And where sensitive when cats had to be put down. will continue taking my cats there RID: 63829
Click to report rating    11/25/16   5     5     5     5   They accepted my cat for an emergency visit within the hour I called. Through a rapid series of visits and tests over the next couple of days, it ended up that she was confirmed to have cancer. Dr. Amber Robinson (and staff!) were awesome! She encourages dialogue & really listens to my concerns and ideas. We discussed chemo options, and I was never pressured to go forward with it, or give up on her. It was totally up to what I was comfortable with. She has chemo once a month, and has weekly weigh ins, so she's monitored closely. If she needs anything at all, they are there to offer solutions and can always squeeze her in if need be. They are the most caring, comforting, concerned and supportive staff. I will never go anywhere else! RID: 62071
Click to report rating    8/10/15   5     5     5     5   I switched from another vet. Staff obviously love cats: interested, calm caring, very helpful. Vet seems very knowledgeable, handles cranky cat well, listens to me.I had a consultation without my cat there and was not charged for the visit. and not charged for her talks with pharmacist/ phone calls trying to get meds sorted out. I don't think charges for vet services are out of line. Wait times have been reasonable too. I've had cats for 34 yrs and am happy with this vet. RID: 58001
Click to report rating    11/20/14   5     5     5     4   the cost of adopting a kitten from this clinic includes spaying/neutering , checkups & all needles for the kittens first year..SPCA costs do not include these services..I like this clinic my kitten & I have been well treated at every visit. S Roberts RID: 54692
Click to report rating    7/23/14   2     2     2     1   I am disappointed on how expensive this clinic is. and $600 to buy a new kitten.....with the amount of rescue kittens out there this clinic charges $600. How will any people take these cats in RID: 52702
7/23/14   3     3     3     1   I agree with some comments about the clinic being expensive. my daughter went in to look at their kittens for sale and was talked into purchasing one of their kittens and when all said and done it was going to be $600. at 7pm at night my daughter was told she could take the cat the next morning. first thing the very next morning my daughter called them to say she decided not to spend $600 on a kitten when she can get one from the SPCA for $150.00. The vet said ok but would not refund my daughter the $100 deposit. I think that is the worst policy i have ever heard of. Its not like the cat clinic lost out on a sale, it was a matter of changing her mind from 7:00pm at night until first thing the next morning. Shame on your clinic RID: 52697
Click to report rating    1/3/14   5     5     5     5   Our cat came to us from northern bc. he was in very rough shape when we got him Dr Bell and staff have been fabulous. It has been expensive and a long haul to get to the bottom of his health problems, but we have persevered and have not lost hopeDr bell has never hesitated to do the required research and has on a number of occasions had the specialist contact us directly to ensure all our questions are answered. this has included skin diet and medication specialists. i really can't say enough good things about this clinic. it is set up well for cats examining rooms are very home like and.our cat settles in for a nap once his exam is or and we are talking about results and next treatments. His condition is now under control RID: 49055
Click to report rating    12/14/13   5     5     5     5   I've brought in my Ragdoll Charlie since I bought him two years ago. Dr Bell is of a quiet nature but she's an excellent vet and knows her stuff. I love that she specializes in cats and feel very confident that she's Charlie's vet. the technicians are very well versed in cats, and their care. I don't know how anyone can say anything negative about Dr Bell. My GP keeps me waiting every time I go in to see him so if I have to wait a few minutes past my appt. time, it certainly doesn't bother me because I know Charlie is getting the best care. Charlie is one of our family members and the excellent care he receives from Dr. Bell is very important to us. RID: 48772
Click to report rating    7/8/13   3     3     2     2   Took my cat in, and she needed to be brought in on another day for surgery. The staff said they would call me about the appointment time. Did not receive a phone call, but looked at their online scheduler which said her appointment was at 10. They called me at 8 asking where she was. Fortunately I know not to let her have food or drink before surgery, but if I didn't, it would have been delayed since they didn't communicate any instructions. Dr. Bell and the staff are nice and skilled enough, but I felt very uncared for as far as the organization and scheduling went, and will be taking my cat elsewhere in the future. RID: 43542
Click to report rating    4/2/13   5     5     5     5   Dr Helen saved my kitten who was hours from death. My beautiful kitten had been misdiagnosed for months at a previous vet hospital and I was told to "give up and let Rusty die" by my previous vet. Out of desperation I called Dr Helen and within hours Dr Helen had diagnosed and began treatment for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Dr Helen ordered an ultrasound and massive blood transfusion for Rusty and save my little beauty right before my eyes. Dr Helen moved mountains and screened a tonne of cats to find a match for Rusty's blood type. Within 24 hours Rusty was on the mend. RID: 41474
Click to report rating    3/15/13   4     1     1     2   Appointments never on time, staff are friendly but are as disorganized as the place itself. Very cluttered and vet doesn't seem to answer questions very well. Have switched vets since and found It to be cheaper at other vet clinics for services and cat food. Would not recommend this place, especially with so many other good places in Victoria. RID: 41106
Click to report rating    1/14/12   5     4     5     5   I've been taking my cat to this clinic for 14 years and buy food and supplies. The staff is always helpful and Dr. Bell is always attentive to us and our cat. She takes the time to tell us what is going on and how to treat our cat. Great service! RID: 30541
