This is a follow up to my previous post. The office manager at this clinic called me later and arranged for the original vet who had examined my dog to authorize the prescription as long as I signed a waiver acknowleding the risks of prolonged use of steroids, which was fine by me. My original rating didn't change much because I had to be so forceful to get them to pay attention to my situation before they offered an alternative solution to the problem.
