My female dog was poorly treated for bladder stones. She was only three and died the next day. Dr. Rubio was not agressive enough. They do surgery on males as the urethra is too small, I was told. My dog became toxic, could not urinate and was not catheterized nor given anything for pain, nausea and septicemia until I went back that evening. I lost a wonderful pet. I had surgery thrown in my face several times and said lets do it. I was told my dog had a low threshold for pain. I was also told that they could not cath her, because she didn't like to be on her back and she was vomiting. Give her something to knock her out and take the urine and stones. Instead she was put on a diet and I had to purchase an amino acid supplement to help alter her urine pH. It would have taken several months to get her urine to change. Dr. Rubio was not aggressive enough. I find that she has been given disciplinary action on DORA two times. My dog is dead......
