3/15/21   1     1     1     1   Dr. Haghighat did not advise us, nor gave us a referral, to test a growth on my dog's hip to determine its cause. Without conclusive test results, he couldn't possibly know what he was treating. It was Mast Cell Cancer. For 8 months, he advised us to apply topical salves which only irritated and ulcerated the Mast Cell Tumor. MAST CELL TUMORS SHOULD NOT BE DISTURBED AS THEY ARE UNSTABLE AND CAN RELEASE LARGE AMOUNTS OF HISTAMINE AND HEPARIN INTO CIRCULATION, (A PROCESS CALLED DEGRANULATION) WHICH CAN CAUSE GASTRIC ULCERATIONS, SYSTEMIC BLEEDING DISORDERS, LOW BLOOD PRESSURE AND SHOCK. THE TUMOR SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MANUALLY MANIPULATED OR DISTURBED WITH SALVES AS THIS CAUSES DEGRANULATION. DR. HAGHIGHAT'S "TREATMENT" CAUSED MORE HARM TO OUR DOG. RID: 69868
Click to report rating    6/15/18   5     5     5     5   In the last 10 years I've been to at least 8 vets for 2 dogs. This one is BY FAR the BEST, by any measure. The office is serene and relaxing, the doctor actually cares, he doesn't push drugs your pets don't need, and even calls back to check on them!!! And yes, the holistic methods work! RID: 66322
Click to report rating    9/7/17   5     5     5     5   My dog was suddenly not able to keep food down and was losing weight rapidly. We took him to our conventional vet several times who just kept prescribing him various pet foods they sold in their office that were extremely poor quality. My dog was making no improvements and I searched high and low for an alternative. Dr. Haghighat and his team have been AMAZING to work with!!! It's a 3 hour round trip but totally worth it! He genuinely cares about his patients. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient and my dog started improving right away. I would recommend him to anyone who has health concerns about their pet! As a lifelong pet owner he is hands down the best vet I've ever met. RID: 64602
Click to report rating    11/4/16   5     5     5     5   Dr. Haghighat is not only a good vet but a good human being who takes the time to listen to his clients. He is patient, understanding and kind. He spends time carefully listening and answering patients and doesnt make you feel like he is rushing you out the door like regular vets. He even spent time talking to us about our cat when we brought in our dog. He is an excellent vet that I would recommend to anyone. He reversed our dog's thyroid condition when our traditional vet could not. Recommended to anyone. I wish MY doctor cared about me the way this vet cares about animals. RID: 61944
Click to report rating    7/21/16   5     5     5     5   Our 9-month old, Great Dane puppy, Abby, came down with an extreme case of the Papilloma virus in her mouth. Seeking treatment, we met with our vet who recommended surgery to remove the larger warts. We were then told that it would take one year to heal. Abby would have to be isolated from all other dog interactions. This was very upsetting and concerning for her social development, not to mention such invasive treatment of having to undergo surgery. We then sought out a second opinion and the guidance of Dr. Sasan Haghighat. He was able to provide calming reassurance that Abby’s condition could be treated WITHOUT surgery and in a shorter window of time. After one month of treatment, we were able to kick-start Abby’s immune system and the virus began to heal. The results were pleasantly noticeable and positively shocking. After two months of treatment, the warts were gone. We will forever be greatful for Dr. Haghighat and his team for their dedication and care. Truly amazing! RID: 61157
Click to report rating    6/8/15   5     5     5     5   Our dog suffered with two cruciate ligament injuries along with a host of minor digestive issues. We worked with Dr. H for one full year and our dog went from not being able to stand long enough to eat to one hour daily walks. With the procedures he uses, dietary changes and a course of supplement support we avoided three surgeries. We and our dog are forever grateful for the work he and his wonderful staff do. RID: 57323

Click to report rating    12/2/14   5     5     5     5   I brought Molly in with a very odd situation - two symmetrical bald spots. This clinic has done a miracle and helped her fur grow back with exceptional compassion, dedication and care. Couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend this to all others. RID: 54836
Click to report rating    11/9/14   5     5     5     5   Our toy poodle became very ill while on holiday in 2014. Disc problems were diagnosed with a recommendation for steroids and a possible surgery. We were not convinced. A client had recommended North East Newmarket Veterinary Services several months prior and I called in a panic. Dr. Haghighat felt our dog was suffering adverse effects to a flea & tick remedy or vaccine. Both of these had been administered by our regular veterinarian before we left on holiday. Dr. Haghighat prescribed homeopathic remedies, performed acupuncture, administered biopuncture and B12 injections. Within days, our pet began to show marked improvement and over the course of several months made a full recovery. We have been so impressed with Dr. Haghighat and his caring team. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. We were able to avoid side effects from conventional medications and a painful, costly, unnecessary surgery by following their recommendations. We will be forever grateful for the tender, loving care. RID: 54538
Click to report rating    3/9/14   5     4     5     4   I turned to alternative medicine when an internal specialist concluded the best thing is steroid inhaler and narcotic cough suppressant for my 9 years old Pom to treat some acute, severe coughing issues. I thought to myself, what could be worse than using steroid for the rest of his life? especially he's already a senior and I want him to enjoy everyday than suffering from side effects of steroids! Dr. Hyatt has given him homepathic remedies, injections, and acupuncture. he also taught me a couple of acupressure spots I can massage my dog at free time. He's very patient. My dog has been much better after 4 months / 4 visits. Although recovery is slow, but I feel rest assured there's no side effects. Costly as others hv pointed out . RID: 50410

3/24/13   5     5     5     5   I have to say, this is the first vet I've been to in many many years that I can say hands down, gets a 5 star rating. My cat was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My standard vet gave me the news, didn't offer any advice as to what I could do next (aside from a $5000 surgery), leaving me in quite a state as a result. I did online research, found Dr. H and Nicole, and have been extremely impressed since starting our visits. Dr. H is a very kind man, patient about receiving 1000 questions and supportive towards people who are fretting over every little detail during a traumatic ordeal. In addition, he has extremely knowledgeable advice as well as effective treatment regimes and products for treating a malignant tumor. My kitty is still enthusiastic about life, running around and eating. It will be interesting to see if he pulls through this or at least defies the odds in terms of longevity of life. RID: 41288

Click to report rating    7/14/12   5     5     5     3   Love this clinic and Dr.H!! He's fantastic at what he does...just wish it weren't so expensive. There is a substantial consulation fee added at EVERY visit and it is always on top of the actual acupuncture session fee. Add on the homeopathic meds and each visit amounts to a small fortune. If the costs were a little more reasonable, I think more people would try alternative treatments on their pets and it would become the wave of the future. RID: 35638
Click to report rating    5/27/12   5     5     5     5   I can not put into words, how extremely blessed we are to have met Dr.Sasan and Claudia! Our BEAUTIFUL inside and out, cat, Meesha had been struggling with a mass/growth in her mouth since end of June/2011. Her conventional vet the growth is most likely malignant & that her quality of life would begin to decrease & that after a biopsy to determine what kind of cancer she is facing, she may only live 2 weeks- 2 mths. I wasn't going to just give up on her that easily. After much research for a homeopathic vet, I truly believe that God put me on Dr.Sasan's path. Meesha first met Dr.Sasan on July 14th/2011. Ever since then, his extremely patient, caring, knowledgeable & gentle approach began to instantly work wonders for Meesha. Dr.Sasan began treating Meesha using various homeopathic remedies, heat therapy& a raw diet she LOVES!! After 6 mos, growth is GONE!!! Thank you, Dr.Sasan for your constant care, support & love. Thanks, Claudia for your help. We are a TEAM & that includes Meesha!!! RID: 34539
Click to report rating    5/6/12   5     5     5     5   We are very grateful for Dr. Sasan Haghighat. He has literally saved our dog from some serious health issues, when other vets had given up on our dog, or didn't know what to do for him. Through Dr. Haghighat expertise, our dog does not need as many medications as he used to, and he has given us natural supplements instead. He is kind and caring to us as well as our dog! We can call him or ask him questions, and he responds to us quickly. He always take ours concerns seriously. Our dog does not mind going to the vet, and he used to dread going to other vets. We would not want to be without Dr. Haghighat!! RID: 34048
Click to report rating    4/22/12   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sasan HYATT and Claudia are both wonderful as is their clinic. I researched extensively for a holistic vet for my 2 dogs who have early kidney disease. He is expensive but he went through all the ingrediants in all my foods and treats and which ones to throw out and which ones to keep. he is also open to emails and questions and does not charge you for another visit. My dogs are doing well on their supplements and probiotics and high veggie/moderate protein diets. Dr. SASAN is also not only a raw food advocate as I did not want that and alot of holistic vets recommend that for renal disease only. I liked that he has a number of options and realizes that each patient , despite having the same disease, does not necessairily mean they should receive the exact same treatment. He listens very well and really takes his time with his patients. RID: 33675
Click to report rating    3/11/12   5     5     5     5   In Septebmer 2011, our 11yr old Irish setter was diagnosed with bone cancer with a 3-6mnth outcome from our traditional vet. A dear friend suggested to meet with Dr. Sasan. After our inital visit with Dr. Sasan, followed by subsequent ones, along with dietary change and supplements, we would like to believe she is now in remission. It's been 7 months since we noticed the limp, and she is going strong. There is no limp and we have been able to reduce her tradtional pain pill Tramadol to 3x a week, down from 3x a day. Along with the supplements, holistic treatment (accupunture, biopuncture, etc.), dietary change and Wheatgrass, I honestly believe we have given her a better chance with less pain. Meeting Dr. Sasan and Claudia, along with Dynamic Greens (wheatgrass) was the best thing we have done for her. Each day now is an extra bonus, thanks to Dr. Sasan. RID: 32813
