Click to report rating    6/3/19   5     5     5     4   Dr. Clarke is the most genuine and compassionate vet my pet has had in his 15 years. RID: 68088
Click to report rating    5/18/19   3     5     5     1   Extremely disappointed to be leaving the care of some great vets, my favourites being Dr Shari Clarke, Dr Cherie White and Dr Laurie Gaines. Dr Clarke so compassionately cared for and helped me ease my cat Bubbles to sleep when his illness proved incurable. Her genuine care is evident. The staff and vets have almost invariably been very kind and caring but my recent experience of being pressured into signing on for care club at exorbitant cost and the complete lack of compassion and helpfulness I received from the office manager for my situation, wherein I was unable to afford ongoing payments, or even in helping me figure out how to pay without access any longer to credit card, was sad... I have had pets with them since childhood to the tune of thousands upon thousands of dollars. I am sad to leave the good vets and vet techs and desk personnel there who have always been super, professional and kind but I am taking my business elsewhere 100 percent. And Jessica could not care less! RID: 68032
Click to report rating    5/10/19   5     5     5     5   I could not ask for a better vet. They are beyond knowledgeable. I have one dog with lupus. While out of town he became very sick. Two other vets misdiagnosed him. If I had followed their recommendations, he would have died. When I was able to bring him into Beardall, they diagnosed him immediately. He has required a lot of appointments, medication, and care, and I can say without a doubt that Dr. Clark has put in more hours to monitor his health, calling to check in, and taking her own time to talk to specialists, than I could have ever hoped for. They never run unnecessary tests, and any tests my dogs do have, have always proven to be 100% accurate in helping them. They can truly be trusted to care for your pets. The type of honesty that you get from vets like Dr. Clark and Dr. White, is hard to find. In the last year especially, I have felt that my two dogs health mattered more than the amount of any bill. Click to report rating    4/14/18   1     1     1     1   I got a call yesterday telling me my cat had been brought there by animal control because he "injured his back end" I went right there with the plan of bringing him elsewhere. When I arrived I was informed he had probably broken his back and was hit by a car! Then said unless I wanted to spend an extra 10 000 they should put him to sleep. I was a mess in the waiting room only for them to say I couldn't leave until my bill was paid ($600 btw). Any humane hospital SENDS you the bill to avoid such embarrassment. please avoid this place at all costs. I am still incredibly upset about how that whole incident occurred. RID: 65946
Click to report rating    2/26/17   1     4     3     1   Beardall Animal Hospital charged me $300 to tell me that my cat was "allergic to something". Would not never recommend. RID: 62839
Click to report rating    6/3/16   1     4     1     1   They are extremely expensive and make you feel guilty if you question costs and procedures they suggest. They wanted me to get bloodwork, xrays and tests for my dog but could not give me a clear answer as to whether it was really neccessary. I felt like they were just trying to get as much money as possible out of me by giving me vague answers and opinions. One test they did was supposed to check for lyme disease but then I was told after that it just checks indicators and another expensive test would be needed to confirm it. If I had known that, I would have just paid for the real test and skipped the first one. After she was sent home they said they would do a follow up call and never did. I got the impression that they figured out that they weren't going to be able to get a lot of money out of me, so they probably thought it wasn't worth their time. RID: 60772
Click to report rating    5/29/16   3     3     3     2   Took my cat in twice for constipation and yeast infection issues. For one weekend for one issue, spent approximately $600 to essentially have my cat sent home and be told he had excellent blood results. They had initially told me the cat may have kidney disease. After being sent home they proposed dental surgery in the thousands.....At another visit they would only re-test the cat to see if the anibiotic they prescribed worked for a fee.......Will seek another vet in the future. RID: 60722
Click to report rating    3/29/16   1     2     1     1   DON'T GO HERE!! You will absolutely regret it! They are extremely expensive! RID: 60151
Click to report rating    3/9/16   4     5     4     3   I bring both of my dogs here and am usually very happy. One of the vets is great. She takes care of the problems and gives me a load of information. Even though she may try and sell some things, she never makes me feel guilty if I say no. I think she just cares about their wellbeing! I have experienced a less pleasant vet there as well for my other dog when their regular vet was on vacation. They are rather expensive in comparison to some other vets, but I feel like they make up for it in other ways. Some things that are too pricey there, I shop around for. I can always call and get an appointment at a time that works for me. RID: 59985
Click to report rating    11/11/15   1     4     4     1   Very unhappy with Beardall and we have left. Some of their vets engage in high pressure sales tactics, making owners feel guilty for declining expensive preventative work. I caved and booked my cat in for dental surgery to remove a single canine estimated at $1100 and took her in. They could not operate due to being busy with an emergency so called to get me to come get her early. When my husband arrived, they billed him $176 for blood work! Previously they double billed me for a pet exam. I had had it done to obtain Revolution and a month later when the cat needed shots I took her and two others in but noted that one did not need an exam because she had one a few weeks earlier and the vet agreed but billed me anyway. These, according to Ms.Martin, are unfortunate problems due to communication and the front desk staff. Customers beware! RID: 58923
Click to report rating    8/20/14   1     3     2     1   This is by far the worste value for money I have ever encountered. My family owns a boarding kennel and breeds cats and dogs so I have an idea of what the going rate for services are and what value and standard of care should be received in return. While the facilities appear to be of good quality, and I'm sure there are a few good vets who work there, we have had several issues. On two separate occaisions I have been charged twice for the same problem.....the vets missed what the issue was on the first visit, which resulted in a second visit for the exact same problem (charged fees on both occaisions). On one of these occaisions the result was a trip to the after-hours emergency clinic (over $200 charged for the pleasure of walking in the door not including the cost of meds) we were especially displeased to see that the vet at the emergency clinic was the very same vet who had seen my dog on the first visit (who assured us there was nothing wrong). DO NOT USE THIS VET CLINIC. RID: 53170
Click to report rating    7/19/14   3     3     1     1   they dont have anyone there that knows what their doing when it comes to birds.I feel had I kept my oldest bird away from them he would still be alive. Took him there as I was concerned he was grieving over the loss of his mate. Dr. Chamberlin pulled on his little leg and gave him medicam which my birds dont tolerate. The next day he couldnt even stand, I believe she broke his leg and he couldnt stop shaking so hard. I took him back over and she finished the job. RID: 52640
Click to report rating    2/18/14   2     3     4     2   The vet missed a very common diagnosis for a rabbit in which it is critical to catch the very first day. Took the animal back the following day when was worse seen a different vet paid a fortune and a day later the animal had a heart attack and died. Poor thing probably was suffering since they did not give pain meds which I found odd after reading on other cases RID: 49898
Click to report rating    6/4/13   1     3     3     1   Dr Wright was wrong when he inject my dogs shot into me instead of the dog. I was holding him steady and he totally missed and got me and not just a little but most of the Bordetella shot went into me. When we realized what happened he laughed. There was no compensation or formal apology plus I still had to pay the bill. What a cheap shot! RID: 42898
Click to report rating    5/27/13   5     5     4     4   We have nothing but good things to say about this vet! We have had several pets and have always taken them here - most recently, our rabbit. Drs Chamberlain and McPherson are experienced with rabbits, and take wonderful care of our little ones. We have gone in for checkups, neuters, and even health emergencies, and have received the best of care. On every occasion, they have shown the patience to take the time and explain what was going on and how best to manage it. They answer all our questions and then some and show amazing empathy to our little ones. They are a bit pricier than other vets in the area, but you are paying for the service you are receiving, and we have always been left satisfied that our little ones have received the absolute best care. RID: 42750
Click to report rating    1/2/13   3     3     1     2   My cat was bleeding all over the floor after getting fixed. They did nothing but bill me again. DO NOT GO HERE! RID: 39356
Click to report rating    9/28/12   5     5     4     5   I have had multiple pets over the years and always go to Beardall's. The staff and the doctors are very friendly and knowledgable. They treat my pets like family and always take time to answer all of my questions. The front office staff is particularly welcoming and the hospital is much nicer than most human hospitals. I have recommended the hospital to many of my friends. I wish the human doctor could be as compassionate as the vets at Beardall's RID: 37494
Click to report rating    3/9/12   5     5     3     4   Very pleasant staff and doctors who care about my pets. Usually running late. RID: 32755
