they are all about the money,even in an emergency will not even look at your pet until they know how you are paying.would not take even a stuffed animal to them.

My family has spent in the neighborhood of 10K on vet services with SJVH over the last 4-6 years.
Despite the competency of the actual vets @ SJVH themselves - the excessive cost associated with all products services there plus the over the top saccharin nature of the front desk staff, we've decided after some investigation that there are most definitely other equally satisfactory options in the city we intend to explore the next time our furry friends need help.
Sorry SJVH, you just lost a whole group of customers. We're aware of the obvious nature of any capital enterprise, but your appetite for a fast buck has proven you really are just another bunch of money grubbing (choose your own expletive).
You should feel some amount of shame (and a wee bit stupid too) for making well funded customers feel as though you're dealing with general consumer products as opposed to the small but very important members of our families they truly are.
Not recommended for your pets.

I love the staff and service here. I have pet rats, a hard animal to treat, and not only did Dr. Brown-Bury do an amazing assessment and cure my little guy, the whole staff doted on him. He's a sucker for attention! Love it here and I recommend it to all my friends with pets.

Christa on reception is one of the most pleasant people you will ever meet. She goes out of he way to make you smile and make your animal feel at ease. Dr Brown-Bury makes sure to give my dog a snuggle and a cookie at the beginning of every visit to calm her down. I even get a Christmas card every year!

Where do I start? Treated a rabbit like it was a cat, after surgery sent me home without pain meds then gave me the run around the next day to get them. Unfriendly, distant, mechanical when they PTS my dog (not sympathetic)

While I like some of the veterinarians at this clinic, my overall experience has been bad. They didn't remove all sutures from my dog after she was spayed, and most recently told me the appointment time I was given was not what they had wrote down, and refused to see her. We are now moving to a new clinic.

They are more interested in the money then the Pet...they tell you one thing and charge for another!!!

They always charge you min. $90 more. Twice now it was $150 more then they said it would cost,,,this last time (and the last time ever!). I brought my "old" dog in for 2 teeth to be removed, he's old and I wanted both bad teeth out now, so that in 6 months to a year I wouldnt have to put my "old" dog though the stress of going under once again..The next day they told me only 1 was bad, and cleaned the other one. the price charged me was more and only 1 tooth removed??..its been just over 1 year. My dog is telln me he's in pain again, eyes always running no want to eat etc... It's the tooth! I told the new vet about this story. WAS TOLD "should've been removed when I requested it. this declay didn't happen so quickly or all teeth would show signs"!,,, and The cost- what a diffence,,,,CLEARLY ONLY CARE FOR THE MONEY! BE AWARE! just sad sad sad he has to go tho all this again.

Dr. Simms did not perform full physical exam due to dog being disobedient/aggressive, however charged me $60 for the full physical and when I asked for that to be refunded she refused.
