As a first time dog owner (and a new resident of Alberta) finding a great vet clinic was so important to me. Westlock vet clinic was mentioned to me (among others) and we decided to check them out. I am SO glad we did! My little rescue pup was in rough shape when we adopted him, both mentally and physically. The staff at Westlock took their time with him, bonded with him, and treated him as if he were their own dog! We have chosen to have westlock as our primary vet even though they are just over an hour away and we have closer options. The treatment we have received here has been truly above and beyond what vet clinics have to do! In the year that I've had my dog I've had to make a few trips to the vet (some normal visits, some emergency visits) and I've walked away happy every time! They have truly helped me in becoming a better dog owner and keeping my pup healthy and happy! Thank you Westlock Vet Clinic for all that you do!

I have pet potbelly pig that is house trained. He has had some health issues since I've had him and I cannot thank Westlock Vet for all they do! They treat us like family and love Chubs (pig) )9 pieces. He actually runs to get into the clinic once he is out of the car. I trust them with the most important factor of my life!

for our family with 8 children * 2 dogs ,6 cats * this is absolutely the best veterinarian clinic,ALWAYS the people here are amazing/gentle/understanding/sympathetic/knowledgeable/ over the years we have come to know everyone here and KNOW with out a doubt they love our babies as much as we do and will ALWAYS do their best by/for them.I love that I can call in and explain what is going on and often times can get an answer of what to do,and for a worried parent that means so much,everyone here tries to coordinate the pets for their shots and visits so we can bring them all in in ONE visit rather than eight :) :)three of our babies come here each summer to board for a week or so,we never feel uncomfortable leaving them here, I think if you can trust someone with your child , well that makes them THE BEST of Peoples, all in all we trust and love these people and this clinic, for us they are family .Lorraine Watt 780-349-6615

We have used this clinic for both large and small. The entire staff is great, the facility is clean, and no matter which Vet we get they do a great job. They take the time to understand our program and care about our success.

This is the only vet clinic we have used since we moved to Alberta 7 years ago and they have been great. The large animal vets are ready to help no matter what time of night we bring a calving in. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a new veterinary clinic.

Great veterinaries at this top notch clinic. Able to discuss our vaccination program with our veterinary and they take the time to understand our program. Appreciate the events the client hosts featuring speakers to broaden our knowledge of the beef industry.

my large animal died in my arms because the vet could not start an IV , because she was dehydrated, in my opinion this animal would have been able to be saved had she been taken to another clinic ( I am a physician ) and now if I have any animals I am concerned about I take them elsewhere. They are fine for non serious issues such as eye infection , etc.

If you want friendly, kind, compassionate care for your loved animal I would not take it to this clinic. I had to have my cat put down because of kidney disease. No consideration for the situation of the animal. There was no sympathy offered or kindness for my cat. He suffered stress and additional pain because no one cared. It was one of my worse days of my life to hear him yell and cry because he was mishandled. No one at this clinic even spoke to me before to see what was best for my animal. This cat was a family member for 14 years and did not deserve this kind of treatment. The reception at this clinic was very very bad, unfriendly and these people should be working in another type of business. Attitude 'no one cares'.

This is the worst vet clinic I have ever been to in my life.. Sadly more poor animals did not get to live to tell about it! they recently killed 2 kittens of mine that had as they said very superficial wound that they decided to pull the skin off of and cause the skin to die with in hours, then they decided to cut the skin off (basically skinned alive) in which they died from hours later. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TOO UNLESS YOU WANT SAID PET TO DIE.

We recently moved to the country with our 2 Cavaliers and was very concerned to have to leave my "city" vet. I had taken the dogs in for their regular check ups to the Westlock vet and was very pleased. Last spring our older girl was attacked by a coyote and the emergency care she received was nothing less than amazing. If we would have been in the city I know that she would have been kept overnight in the clinic (and the price tag to go with the stay :( ) but at the Westlock clinic the vet suggested I take our girl home for the night and have her back first thing in the morning. It was a long night, but I'm happy to say that our 12 year old girl survived and we're so pleased to have found an incredible vet in our small town! Can't say enough about them!

Excellent TLC service by all staff @ the clinc who are professonal, cordial and friendly. The groomer there Bridget Simon was especially good to deal with . Although we live in St. Albert , due to the awesome customer service @ this clinic, it is definitely worth our commute there. We know our beloved woof woof will be taken care of :)

I absolutely love this clinic! Maybe the person who rated this clinic poorly could've brought their pet in sooner than right at closing time. And although the clinic is not staffed 24 hours, the care for my pets has been excellent in all the years I've been going there! If you want your pet monitored 24 hours you can go always to an emergency clinic and pay much more for their 24 hr care.

I am not sure why this person would rate this clinic this way. From My experience I have had nothing but great experiences from this clinic! I live in the city, and I would gladly travel the distance to take my dog there! The prices are great, staff is amazing. And the vets are top notch! I recommend this clinic to ALL of my friends and family!

My large dog was perfectly house trained,and had never been left alone in 8 years. He had a temperature and a sore swollen front leg and was having trouble getting up. I took him in for tests and as it was almost closing time the vet wantedto keep him over night.He would not have been able to get to water and his bladder would have been extremely uncomfortably full by morning.He had never been left alone so he would have been afraid and crying for almost 15 hours in an empty building as this clinic is unattended from approximately 5:30PM to 8:30AM. I offered to bring him in at any time the next day but I refused to leave him over night.I had also asked why he had been put on the same antibiotic 3 times in a row when it had no affect. So because I wanted to understand about the medication and it was when I refused to leave my dog unattended overnight that the vet told me the clinic could no longer serve me. I found it very difficult to drive many more miles for the care my dog needed.
