Our cat was unethically misdiagnosed.
Bulger’s ultrasound report showed NO tumors, masses, clots or anything of concern. After our kitty failed to improve, she was transferred to Angell Memorial in Boston because of our decision. They repeated the same test and the results were that multiple cancerous tumors were found throughout the kitty, including abdomen, and evidence of advanced lymphoma. In addition, fluid taken from our cat’s abdomen was sent out by Bulger’s and completely inconclusive results were obtained. Angell Memorial repeated the same test and the diagnosis was advanced lymphoma with a prognosis of a terminal illness.
The reasoning was that they didn’t have an up-to-date ultrasound machine. This wasn’t logical. Billed us 4K+, put cat through needless stress, gave us false hope to keep us spending $. Abusive staff member, and Dr. said our kitty wasn’t worth the care as it was an “old cat” and said “we didn’t have a connection to the cat since a stray”! Inappropriate!

On my first visit I was told my dog had cataracts in both eyes and the only treatment was very expensive surgery. I was told it was necessary and they could do it the next Tuesday! After searching every avenue I could I could not come up with $4500. After telling them this on the second visit they now tell me that the cataracts aren’t that bad and surgery is not necessary. I believe the first visit was just a scare tactic to see if I would fall for doing the surgery. They also sold me $90 worth of eye drops. One I could not use as it made her too sensitive to light and the other was for inflammation. My gut told me she didn't need either of them so I didn't use them. On visit 2 there was no sign of any inflammation! I don't believe it was there in the first place! I believe this place is all about taking your money. I will never go back.

They euthanized a great dane puppy that an adopter brought in for pneomonia after the rescue called 3 different times to say they would pay the bill and pick the dog up! THIS WAS SO UNETHICAL ON SOOOO MANY LEVELS!!! AND THE VET RECORDS SAID THIS DOG WAS A RESCUE DOG :( RIP OPTIMUS!!!

I've had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Letwin. She shows compassion and caring and is very professional, returns calls. I like her. The hospital itself though, VERY expensive. I might seek other options.

I brought my puppy to BAH for an emergency visit and was very pleased with our service. The greeting staff was so sweet with my nervous puppy. I saw Dr Lindsay Renzullo and her bedside manner was wonderful with myself and puppy. A quick diagnosis was made and we were out the door. I would highly reccomend BAH and Dr Renzullo!!

over all a good hospital. just stay away from dr. mary letwin. VERY RUDE with me and her staff. after 8 years she is the only one i have been unhappy with. the other vets and staff are great.

Havent met a bad vet or tech their yet.....off hour on site 24 emergency is always a plus for that just in case piece of mind. Dr Julie Haller is fantastic , Dr Prentiss is a wonderful surgeon and so pet friendly with a great bedside manner. I just wish more time was alotted for appointments but that goes for anywhere you go, including the human kind. Sometimes I feel I have to speed talk.
