Like others said, this is more like a money making shop not a medical clinic for animals. They gave a bill of $400 for anal gland expression and when I refused to do their yeast tests for ears they refused to give me antibiotics for the cause that I had originally gone to them. Instead of giving me the medication they wanted to do a bloodwork. More service more money! At the desk there computer tried to add $97+$38=$202 . Even without a calculator I know the charge shd be $138 plus taxes. So they slip in hidden charges hoping nobody will catch them.

Wellington continually overcharges and up costs by any means whatsoever. Within a couple of Wellington deemed my cat to be “fractious” meaning that they refused to handle my cat unless he was sedated (which cost hundreds of dollars each time). This extremely traumatized my cat with every vet visit. As a worried cat parent Cliff Redford assured me this was necessary and I trusted he was a knowledgeable and caring vet. However, after seeing how distressed my cat would get during and after vet visits, I began to look at alternatives. Other vets were more understanding of our cat’s situation and stated sedation would not be necessary for our cat. Cliff Redford may be knowledgeable but he doesn't care about the animals; all he cares about is the money, even if that means traumatizing your pet and performing pointless procedures. They have traumatized my cat and stolen thousands from me in sedation costs over the years. You would be a fool to choose this clinic.

Very expensive. Much higher than other clinics in the area. They also never disclose the full price upfront or even on a written estimate. There are always "additional fees" that were not disclosed. Don't let them take your pet to the back until you ask what they are going to do and how much it would cost and what options you have. Very pushy about vaccinations. Not raw friendly.

This is the worst veterinary clinic we have ever been to. We go another clinic in North York for 16 years. A technician came in before the doctor, however, I am completely disgust by the tech., he pulled my cat's tail from the edge of the table and pull the cat towards him when he did the temperature. Also, they charged you for things that were not discussed with you before. We went in for shot and were specifically told that we were there for shot only and not interested to do an full examination, but we will go back in a month with the other cats. The tech. keep selling all sort of non-senses. When the cat finally get shot which should only take 15-20 mins at other hospitals, we were there for 1.5 hrs. The cat was terrified. We were also presented with an invoice that was about 2.5 times more expensive than other clinics. We questioned the bill and were told that service was made and nothing they could do. The tech was also shouting at us when we questioned the bill. Worst ever!!

The doctor/owner of this clinic frightened us by saying he suspect our dog has kidney infection when we brought our dog for vaccination and told him our dog is picky on dog food. He did a urine check with his OWN microscope without telling us if it is additional charges and asked us to do a blood test without telling us how expensive it is! In the end, we were asked to pay $450 at the reception without been told any approximate cost by the doctor before he did test for my dog! In the end, blood test showing my dog is very healthy and nothing wrong! We were also told we have to bring our dog back another time for vaccination because his suspection. That made us pay one more Exam/Consultation fee of $100!

I have three cats, all have immune issues. Dr Redford is the best vet we have had...but u pay for it. I was so happy to find out he caps the price for full teeth removal, while most vets in the area make u pay per 10 minutes of surgery( which drove my husband nuts) i couldn't imagine going anywhere else

Wow, this clinic is very OVERPRICED! I have been with this clinic for 3 years! I went in to get a vaccine only for my cat. The total of the bill came up to $157 (1 Feline Physical Exam & 1 Vaccine for $139+ $18 tax).
Their fees go up every year. In 2014, they charged $49 for a fecal examination and in 2015, the price went up to $69 (increase by $20).
I was overwhelmed with the bill from Wellington Veterinary Clinic. So, I called other clinics in Markham. The prices range from $101-$125 for a physical exam ($70-$80) and 1 vaccine ($20-$30).

Fantastic clinic! Staff are very friendly. You definitely get your money's worth for the service you get. The doctor there is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have been to the clinic for more than a year and never leave unsatisfied. All of my concerns are answered and I believe my dog gets the best care here than anywhere else!

Don't go this veterinary clinic: 1) the charges are not transparent. They group different vaccines, exams and consultation fee together so you can't see a full breakdown of each charge 2) I went to see them 3 times within the last 2 months and each time they ALWAYS include "Exam" charge even though I told them that I only want do vaccine for my kitten and my kitten had done the exam 3 weeks ago 3) they are not punctual and 4) they will ask you to perform tests that are not necessary as they claim it a precautionary measures.

Highly recommend!!! I recently took my new puppy here and had a great experience. I never owned a puppy before and had many questions. I found the clinic to be very clean and the staff was lovely, and friendly. They offered to make me coffee and even bring it to the room for me. I got a tour of the place. So big and has a cat there so cute. There are two doctors there. I saw the lady doctor. She is amazing. She answered all my questions and made me feel much more comfortable. She spoke at a level I could understand. Which was very nice. I got a bunch of information about new puppies and even got a free bag of food. The prices are a bit higher then around there. But you do get what you pay for. Very happy with this clinic recommend it to everyone.

DO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE FOR URGET CARE OR FOR ANY SERVICES. Worst experience. My puppy (Morkie) 10 weeks at the time, fell terribly ill out of no where. The vet diagnosed her with 'hiccups', even though her trachea collapsed? How do you misdiagnose? They even held onto her for a couple hours to make sure it was just that. She was up all night not being able to breathe properly and I kept telling them, completely dismissed my concerned. I wrote a massive post about this clinic on Facebook and received over 80 likes, advising my friends to seek another clinic and dismiss this one entirely. I called them the next day to tell them that my puppy is not breathing and they told me to wait until the vet who saw her come in at 12? Excuse me? How do even advise that to your clients? We took her somewhere else and she is 100% functioning and healthy. I hate this clinic with a passion. I hope they go out of business. Disgusting.

I had been going to the same vet for 4 years but my dog finally needed some dental work. I was quoted over $1000 for the dental and they won't even let me save a few bucks on the drugs and wanted to charge me $20 prescription fee per drug. Also, they don't seem to be very knowledgeable. I had to send them the studies regarding my dog breed's blood work's reference range.

It is unfortunate to see how unrealistic these ratings are due to the fact that most of the ones that speak the truth have been removed. This clinic is truly out for your money. The change is staff is disappointing and there is no sense of care shown towards my animals anymore. If anyone wants an honest opinion its to stay away from this animal hospital. Hopefully this rating isn't too harsh to get "reported".

Wow, the new hospital is amazing! We had to wait a little longer then thought reasonable but then when Dr. Redford apologized and explained there was an emergency, we understood. Its nice to know that if anything were to happen to one of our pets, the team at Wellington would act quickly. Wonderful staff, wonderful doctors, amazing hospital!

I've been dealing with Wellington for over 10 years and I have nothing bad to say. Dr. Redford has always gone over and beyond when my lab has needed help. A great new facility and a great vet!

To begin with, this clinic does not offer services for exotics, horses or livestock. There are cameras and microphones in the exam rooms and nowhere can signage be found letting customers know of this. Isn't this illegal? I believe it is. There are also microphones that record all conversations at the reception desk. Again, no mention of this to customers. This clinic is extremely expensive vs others in the area and there is a very rapid turnover of staff at all levels.

My Cat and Dog have been seeing Dr Redford for 5 years now... Wish the clinic was closer to me but I'll do anything for a good vet - the Vet is very honest with things and is always talking to me about options! my old vet never gave me any options to treat my dog... Anyway if your looking for a really Smart Vet and someone who cares Dr Redford is the guy! I would give a perfect score but I don't think anyone should get a perfect score! but this clinic is very close to it!

I started volunteering at Wellington this summer and i love this place! The staff are all very friendly and fun to be around and they truly care about their patients. Both Dr. Redford and Dr. Brown are very knowledgeable and treat both the animals and their owners like family. I was so impressed with Wellington that I recently switched vets and am now bringing my own dog here.
