Here are the main reasons why I would rate them as zero stars:
1. Each visit the doctor seemed to forget the previous visit. He would prescribe doing an allergy prick test, then a blood test and then prescribe both of the same tests in a future visit. When we reminded him about the previous tests, he would say oh right, yes we don't have to do that again. Or in some cases, they would lose results and thus had to retake certain tests at our expense.
2. He kept changing his mind about what was causing the allergies. One visit he would say our dog wasn't showing certain symptoms, thus this isn't a food allergy, then the next visit he would get angry with us if we changed our dog's diet to something we knew he would love.
3. There was a flippant nature to the prescription of certain drugs with scary side effects without proper pre and post prescription testing to make sure there was no harm to our pet.
I would be very cautious with going to this vet.

Our beautiful 13 year old golden had a rash on the side of his face. We took him to see Dr Charach who diagnosed it as demodex and prescribed Ivomec to be given internally. We notified Dr Charach and his staff that our golden was also suffering from chronic pancreatitis which was under control with medication but other than that he was very healthy. We were reassured that Ivomec would not cause any problems related to his pancreatitis, that it was totally safe. After his first dosage our golden started to vomit, we called Dr Charach's office immediately and were told it had to be something else that caused the vomiting and to continue with the Ivomec. After a week of giving the Ivomec our golden was so sick that we stopped it. Before the month was over our golden was in so much pain we had to have him to sleep. He vomited daily after being given that first dosage of Ivomec. We believe the Ivomec killed our golden but when contacting Dr Charach, his response was "he was old".

My cat has been suffering from allergies for the better part of two years. After trying everything with my vet, I decided to seek out a specialist. I called the clinic and the receptionist answered some questions about basic allergy testing. She told me that they did a skin test for $33 to rule out household allergies. Given that this was less expensive than the blood test my vet was offering, even with the expensive exam fee, I booked an appt. Though they asked for my regular vet info, they wrote down Cambie as Candy - and couldn't find it. The doctor had no idea about the 2 yrs history of this allergy, and spoke to me in a condescending, rude manner. The scale and exam room was covered in other animals' hair and fluids. When I expressed frustration with being given apparently wrong information over the phone, the doctor insinuated that I was making it up and said I shouldn't have trusted the receptionists due to a high turnover rate. Then he yelled "we're done here" and walked out.

I, too, began to worry about the care of our dog when I saw the grubby jacket the doctor wore-wore it for other visits as well-he treated us like idiots-even when we asked questions about treatment-he was all the worst stereotypes of a doctor-and he couldn't spell. We are afraid to discontinue care here-as it will be yet another start with someone else-The cost haven't too high and the staff were friendly enough but we have no confidence-

Worst most apathetic (supposed) animal-care facility EVER!! Aside from waiting 40min for my dog's initial consultation (without apology), overheard the doctor's advice to the owners of the dog before us. It was the same cookie-cutter speech I was given. They don't care about your pet, they are all about simply prescribing meds for a money grab. I was prescribed 4 different meds, one for my dog's ears (despite the test results being negative) and was told it was simply a preventative measure (as were 3 out of the 4 prescribed). To make matters worse, despite the second round of antibiotics prescribed, my dog's skin condition worsened. After a month of WAITING for test results, and contacting them 4 times without a reply or results, I went in to get an answer only to be met with rudeness and indifference. Turns out, the test results came in 1 day after our consultation and clearly stated that nothing needed to be prescribed- could have saved the $400. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

I brought my dog here after having a lot of issues with allergies. The doctor was incredibly dismissive of me, and didn't listen at all. I felt uncomfortable letting him take my dog in the back for tests. The whole clinic was covered in dog hair and there were two dogs there (presumably the staff's) which growled and got aggressive towards my dog and just kept walking in and out of the exam room. I left feeling taken advantage of, and having none of my dogs issues solved. This doctor doesn't even appear to like animals, don't make the same mistake I did. Stay away!

I saw this veterinarian hit and smack a cat that was bundled up in a towel because it was scared and defensive before he saw my dog. I was shocked and appalled. He was late for both of the appointments I made with him, it cost a fortune and he didn't solve any of my dogs issues. The clinic was always dirty with hair and dust everywhere. It was a total waste of money and I would advise everyone not to go.

Dr. Charach & Dr. Bajwa are both very good, they explain everything very well especially Dr. B. My dog has been seeing these specialist for the last half year, we've been on different types of antibiotics & have tried the food trials from home cooked to now vet specialty dry food, unfortunately my dog is not yet 100% so time will tell. In terms of monetary value I rated that low b/c even though they are specialist their visit rate is pretty ridiculous. The only other thing I rated low was the staff (meaning receptionists) there are 2 receptionists/vet assistants, Hailey & Brittany. unfortunately I think Brittany needs to go back to school or look for a different career, this girl always seems to want to either rush you off the phone or out the door-basically rush you out of her presence, even her speech is rushed, she's made errors b/c of her rush. she gives the clinic an overall bad impression. she is NOT diligent, I'd hate to think how she treats the animals when no one is around.

I had the same experience. The staffs are never in the clinic. Over the past few months, I called on different days at around 11am and 4pm to ask a few questions and to schedule an appointment for my dog. Every time I call, it goes to their voice mail. Other than that, the doctor is great and I feel very educated every time I come back, but I find it unacceptable that their staffs are never there to answer questions. I even had to call their Richmond location once to ask for their hours of operation! Ironically, business hours from 8am-5pm means no one answers phone calls at 11am or 4pm.

I had a lot of anxiety about coming to the dermatologists, mostly because of the cost, but the receptionist assured me that it would be worth the investment, and it was. After four visits the issues we had with my Lab were almost completely resolved. The girl who works there is super helpful over the phone and very nice in person. After going to my vet multiple times with no results I was very pleased with the end result at the dermatologists. The one thing I was not happy with was that the veterinarian was usually running late by at least 10-15 minutes.

I few weeks ago, I called this clinic to try and set up a time to see the specialist. My timetable is very strict, thus, I can only bring my dog in at specific times. The receptionist was rude and inconsiderate over the phone. After several minutes, she told me to call their other clinic (Animal Dermatology Clinic in Richmond, B.C) and hung up on me. I was in disbelief that the doctor would hire someone so unprofessional. I was able to book a time to bring my dog in at the Richmond location, and the service I received was phenomenal. Compared to the receptionist at the Vancouver location, the girls at the other clinic are so much more polite. The doctor is also very nice and he answered all my questions. Bottom line, I will not go back to the Vancouver clinic because of the rude receptionist, but I will certainly bring my dog to see the doctor again in their Richmond clinic.
