Dr. Sharon is efficient and has prices quite probably meant for upper class types and not the plebs associated with medium income folks. Got nailed for a treatment that was OVERPRICED, but as I know nothing of the cost for a surgery...I could have bought 20 pets for the price of this one animal or saved $2000 going with euthanasia. This place overcharges a wee bit I think.

Took my cat in due to unprovoked biting and scratching. After examination, I was told my cat was "dominant" and was expected to behave this way, however the cat may be stressed and I was given antidepressants for her. The vet was rude and rolled her eyes at me during the visit.I requested blood work to rule out a physical change and was told that she didn't need one because the cat was young. I was also told by desk staff that maybe my cat would be less stressed if it was given a new home. Took cat to Sackville animal hospital the next day where they immediately saw a broken canine with an exposed nerve and that the cat needed a tooth extraction. When returning the pills they were completely uncaring and would not refund the physical exam.Very unimpressed, but greatful that I got a second opinion instead of giving my pet pills it doesn't need.

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years and have never had a problem. The staff know me when I come in. I am always warmly greeted and Dr. Sharon is great with my pets as well as my kids. They definately have a no-nonsense approach but that is what I like. Neither my cats or my dogs have ever complained!

I took my cat to this vet several times and encountered the following at each visit: uncaring and noncommunicative vet who had no interest whatsoever in my cat's well being; a rude technition who handled my cat like an inanimate object, and another vet (the owner I'm told) who thinks it appropriate to roll her eyes and made sarcastic comments to clients. This is the most unprofessional, inadequate clinic I have ever been to. I don't know how they stay in business.Do your pet a favor and stay away form this clinic.

I changed vets I found the frint staff rude and did not put a claim through my insurance resulting in me not getting compensated. I was way over charged for a teeth cleaning and just did not get the warm fuzzies:(

Most substandard vet clinic I have ever been to in my 26 years of caring for pets. Dr. Francine Flemming treated my cat for a scratch on his cornea and his condition worsened over the course of three weeks. She was oblivious to the fact that his corneal ulcers were not healing due to entropian, (lower lids turned inward so lower lashes were brushing against corneas). She just kept changing the eye drops and telling me to bring him back in 5 to 7 days "if he was doing well". I don't know if she is incompetant or just completely disinterested. Aside from throwing over $500.00 to the wind, my cat had to endure undue pain for three weeks while his condition worsened. My new vet at Cobequid Animal Hospital in Sackville diagnosed the problem at the first visit and set him on the road to recovery. Had I stayed at Downsview, my beloved fur baby could have lost his eyes. Stay away from this clinic if you love your pet.
