Bad experience with this vet. I should have checked the online reviews first, but I agree that her people skills are lacking, and she is very expensive.

we had been going for a few years to this vet. She very obviously loves my dog however he kept having issues whenever he would get his vaccinations, she suggested allergy testing, we did and the results came back yep he is allergic to something but the test couldn't tell us what. we had no idea it wouldn't tell us what, I guess we assumed since it cost us almost $3000 we would get an answer. Every time we had vaccinations done he would get them same reactions. The last straw for me was when we were in and our bill was over $800 and I asked her to clean his ears and her response was that will cost extra! we haven't brought our dog to her since and guess what no issues either! She does make it seem like it is a money grab and you are the worse pet parent in the world if you don't do what she says.

I phoned them to ask for a quote on a few services because I am new to the area and looking for a vet.... I was advised 'they only take people who have been refereed to them and do not participate in quoting services and if that's what I am looking for we would not be a good fit' Forgive me but as much as I love my pets asking how much a service would be before I sign up with them is not being unreasonable!!

I've taken a number of dogs and guinea pigs to Marieke over the last decade or so. She and Tom are very caring. As another comment said they are informal but I prefer that. Appointments are always punctual. When I had a sick piggy that required euthanizing she was great (went above and beyond as I blew a tire and was stuck on the side of the road on the way to the vet with the piggy). I feel very confident with the care she gives my senior dog and would recommend both she and Tom highly.

I've taken more than one animal to Dr. Wevers and Tom over the last ten years and think they're great. Very approachable and knowledgeable, my dog loves them. Not a "formal" office but friendly and I absolutely feel that she has my animal's best interests in mind. Very happy with them - contrary to the other posts here - and wouldn't take my guy anywhere else. Anyone looking for a vet in the Acton area, see Marieke and make up your own mind.

To sum it up, highly unprofessional. High strung, argumentative. Weirdest vet I've encountered. Wasn't there long enough to rate any of services rendered. I can only assume customers are not worthy of her services, from the attitude I got. Pick a vet that puts your pet ahead of they're attitude.

They wouldnt come to my house to look at my horses beacause I'm not a "buisness" I only have 2 horses and just wanted to have them checked up. But no you have to have a huge big time barn with money to have this vet come to you. ANNNNDD I dont believe in shooting my animals with shots every year and apparently to have your cats spayed there they need to have there shots again regadless if they had them when they were young. Over all I think this place is a money grab. Everone I have ever spoken to about them says "MONEY MONEY MONEY" The only thing i will give them credit for is there horses look well fed!
