Click to report rating    6/6/17   3     4     4     4   We recently brought our beloved pet to be put down here. The receptionist Natasha was so kind and explained the procedure in full detail and made sure we were comfortable. Much kinder than whoever we talked to over the phone. I think she said her name was Ashlyn? The doctor was very good and made it a very smooth experience. My husband and I will be bringing our other dogs in for their regular check ups. RID: 63843
5/31/17   5     5     5     5   I have been going to this clinic for years and I love the new owner dr Singh he takes his time and doesn't push you out the door like some clinics do. The receptionist Ashley is friendly and always willing to help and explain things to you. The other staff members are great and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. Keep up the good work RID: 63791
Click to report rating    5/17/17   3     5     5     5   I've been bringing my dog here for a few years and the new Owner Dr Singh is very kind and takes the time to speak to me and answers all my questions and all the new renovations he's made look wonderful. However there is one receptionist who is always rude and short with me. Her name is Ashley. She always makes me feel like I'm inconveniencing her. The other three staff member I've met are wonderful and patient. But I always dread the possibility that Ashley might be working when I go in. Such a shame. RID: 63667
Click to report rating    4/10/17   1     4     5     4   We took our beloved chihuahua,Baby,I was holding her, still in seizure, twitching, loud jerking growling.Rude woman at frontdesk said I cannot see doctor bks I didnot phone her ahead.I told her to please tell the doctor. Dr Parminder Singh said 'emergency' n took Baby in at once. Same woman took Baby temperature.I asked her gently whats her name. Reluctently she answered, 'ashley'. I politely asked her 3times, ”r u tech?” (i had to b polite fearing she takes it out on Baby). She mumbled something like,'admin assistant';n she threw thermometer on examtable, disturbed, banged the door loud, left examroom. She also put wrong duration of days for pills on pillbottle. I caught it,Dr corrected it. Dr took time explained Baby situation to me, answered my questions n my concerns. Dr treated Baby successfully. Dr Parminder Singh is best vet in town; Tech Sarah Cruickshanks (pregnant?)is pleasant n professional. WE THANK DR SINGH N SARAH BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. IT IS DISGRACE rude woman works the RID: 63308

Click to report rating    2/18/17   4     4     4     4   I have been visited with my dog for a few weeks since moving from another clinic within the same area and have always found the vet - Dr Singh pleasant and knowledgable. One member on reception come across rude and abrupt, and if the Dr is talking interrupts him when he explains medications to you. The pregnant lady is always happy to see patients and comes very friendly. RID: 62727

Click to report rating    1/4/17   3     5     5     5   I'm VERY surprised to see negative reviews for Central Niagara. In the last few months, we have had several visits, first for a tumor in our 2 year old dog's foot which Dr Singh removed without incident at a reasonable rate. A month later the same dog was bumping his back end into everything and had chewed around the base of his tail. Dr. Singh examined him and quickly (and correctly) diagnosed impacted anal glands. Two weeks later we brought our 8 year old cat in because she was losing weight rapidly, Again, Dr. Singh quickly (and again correctly) diagnosed an abcess in her mouth. The doctor NEVER tried to push us into unnecessary tests or medications. With reasonable rates and top notch care, we would not consider going elsewhere. The only problem we experienced was with a rude receptionist/Vet Tech. If it wasn't for her, this would have been all 5 star ratings as Dr. Singh and the other staff were all very friendly and helpful. RID: 62297

4/24/15   1     3     4     2   Their prices went up. They used to be reasonable... but that's not the big problem. The big problem is the mature woman at the front desk who usually has her blonde hair tied back. She is extremely irritating for the reason that she dishonestly acts like she doesn't know what you're talking about when you catch her trying to slip the sale of something you don't need in. It's ridiculous that she thinks people won't notice. When you bring it to her attention she plays dumb. People like her think that everyone else is stupid, but we all know who the dumb one is. When I first started going, the vet was great. The last time I went it was a different one (not the owner...I heard he was good). The vet the last time I was there seemed to not know anything!! I asked questions and he didn't know! He unsuccessfully tried to treat a UTI on my dog but it came right back. They wanted to charge me all over again for everything! Sorry but if you make the mistake, you need to own up to it and fix it! RID: 56782

4/5/15   1     1     1     1   I was a client of this clinic for 2 years before I finally switched. I took my dog in because he had Pannus in his eyes. The vet from 4 feet away with a flashlight told me he did not have Pannus and that he had a lipid deposit. I took him to a specialist anyway and she told me my dog did in fact have pannus. The specialist faxed the records and her findings back to this clinic and they still denied him having pannus. Told me the specialist was wrong. My specialist also recommended no vaccines because of his eye disease. This vet pushed vaccines on me and told me it wouldnt hurt him. They black mailed my sister and I told us unless we followed their every recommendation they would not give us the medication our kitten needed. They were rough, abrasive and when a CVO complaint was filed tried to cover up their backs with untruthful stories. Stay away from this clinic, they have 3 CVO complaints in right now. Their prices have also gone up. Used to cost $30 for bloodwork now its $100 RID: 56521

6/19/14   1     1     1     1   Horrible clinic! Rude and abrasive staff members (and one who seems quite clueless) and doctors who rush through your appointments. Doctors who can't diagnose properly (I know people who have had the following things diagnosed wrong or inadequately: ear infections, eye infections, x-ray readings and even urinary tract infections). I left and went to another clinic with more knowledgeable staff and doctors who actually care to help you! You get what you pay for and this clinic is NOT worth your time or your animal's well being or LIFE. The horror stories are true, I know many people who feel the exact same way and would say stay far away from this place! I found out through a friend that the owner has opened a 3rd clinic, he is clearly after the money and not trying to improve his 2 current clinics that need a lot of work and care to fix how awful they are. Their reputation seems to be on a rapid decline lately and for a valid reasons! RID: 52178

6/5/14   1     2     2     2   Terrible...terrible clinic. Same vet here as his clinic in Hamilton (East Mountain) and now he has opened a third! Wrong diagnosis from himself and his cohort, almost lost our dog and thousands of dollars later, yet no one takes the blame! Take your pets somewhere else...Please! RID: 51975

Click to report rating    4/22/14   5     5     5     5   I happen to work at Central Niagara Animal Hospital, and my co-workers are amazing people. Dr. Alex Torabi is super friendly, and always teaches me something new everyday. The nurse/tech there is also very friendly, and easy to get along with. RID: 51170

Click to report rating    2/13/14   5     5     5     5   I have been using this clinic for two years.I feel if the vet has a Canadian license then they are good to go.Just like any profession ,there are the good and the great.I personally really like Alex the vet.My dogs were well examined on their yearly exam and one of them had a dental. The clinic is clean and bright. They don't over charge,so Iam able to get the checkups and shots. Click to report rating    7/22/13   3     5     5     5   I love this vet! I do have to say that when I first came the girl at the front (Vet Tech?) was very very cold and unfriendly and thus not professional at all... I don't know why they have people like that working at the front, they should always be in the back away from people. Anyway, besides that, I still have to give an awesome rating to this clinic because unlike other vets I have been to, these ones really care about your pet. They don't over-medicate, they do what's necessary and they don't overcharge. They are really fantastic. Dr. Koo-sure (don't know the spelling) was amazing! He pointed out a problem to me that I had no idea of on my dog and helped. I am so greatful. I saw him first but he is gone now :(. But the next vet I saw (I think the owner of the clinic) was amazing too. So kind and so caring and not money-hungry! Yet still gives top top top quality vet care and has all the knowledge. 100% the best kind of vet! Even if I move out of the city, I am still coming here! RID: 45767
1/4/13   3     5     5     5   I may end up looking for a new vet simply because the one vet has disregarded my request that my dog be treated for a condition that is so obvious and I know she has because I already have a dog with that issue,he also decided to ignore my request for something for the itching so that she would not irritate it anymore. If I had not had some of my requests that were within my rights and they were reasonable. I do not like having to keep my dog coned for longer than needed bit because she will scratch her eye if I do not supervise. If not for that one vet than I would have given them 100%. My dog is now stuck in a cone because she cannot stop scratching at her eye because it is dry and sore, nor can she keep it open for more than a few minutes. RID: 39384
Click to report rating    7/11/12   5     5     5     5   This is in response to the poor review below. There are many reasons why stitches can come out. One is, the cat/dog reacted to the suture material. Two, you didnt listen to vets instructions and the cat was playing, jumping or licking and pulled the stitches out. Its not always the vets fault. I have never had a problem with this clinic and I trust them with my dog. Their prices are great and so is their care, they are also very clean and this is a biggie for me. RID: 35579
Click to report rating    7/3/12   4     3     1     1   Won`t be coming back here again. My girl had to be spayed and her incision opened up. I`ve never had that happen to any pet I`ve owned previously. I was so worried for her! She had to go back to receive additional stitches, and after that I`ve never gone back. The cost was reasonable, but you get what you pay for. I will never make that mistake again that`s for sure! People complain because the cost for veterinary care gets expensive, but take my example into consideration. If it`s pricey they`re probably doing a great job. If it`s significantly less question why. Do your research and ask questions! Again, learn from my mistake. I was in a tight spot and fell for it. I have since found a clinic closer to me where I know the vet personally. Much happier there. RID: 35387
Click to report rating    6/27/12   5     5     5     5   Its really nice to finally have a vet in this city open that doesn't hold the attitude of most vets in the area. The last vet I was with put the money first and your pets health was a distant second. I love this vet and all the staff there. They are kind and very caring and treat your animal as if he or she was their own. Prices are also very good. Office and back area are really clean. I was refered by someone and am very thankful for that referal because I will keep going back and have already refered my family. RID: 35268
Click to report rating    6/22/12   5     5     5     5   I'm very happy that this clinic has recently opened. I brought my dog for a check up and the vet was wonderful. He took his time with her, it was nice to not feel rushed in and out of the office like I have at other clincs. His prices are also very reasonable. It's rare to find good rates and friendly, knowledgeable staff in one place but they have it all. Will not be seeing anyone else from now on. RID: 35152
