Dr. Spooner has taken care of my cat, Mimi, since she was a kitten and throughout my cat’s life for her wellness checks and certain medical concerns along the way. Dr. Spooner has been the best. She is a wonderful caring veterinarian. She is very thorough with her care and examinations. She is the expert in cat health as her clientele is strictly cats. She loves cats. I am so grateful and privileged she is my cat doctor. Her staff is also nice and helpful. Thank-you.

Horrible experience, a 1000 character limit isn't enough to explain how unprofessional this veterinarian is.

I took my cat to this cats-only clinic, and she had not been around many people but me for a few years, but with the warm welcome we both received upon our visits, she was at ease and is always comfortable around each of the wonderful and caring staff attending to her. It is reassuring to leave our loved ones with such caring and compassionate spirits that the animal lovers at the clinic both exude and possess. I received critical health advice from them, that will only help me to share many more years of snuggling up with my Sweetie, and she will be healthier and happier because of her visits to this clinic, that we both look forward to visiting each time.

Wonderful clinic. You're not just a number here. The atmosphere is homey and Dr. Spooner and staff work hard for every patient that walks through their door. The fact that it's feline-only is a good thing for its already stressed out clientele. Dr. Spooner's fees are in line with every other vet's. She follows the fee guide for the province's vets and does not charge extra despite her advanced degrees in feline care. I don't want to or need to read negative reviews although I feel bad for the clients that will no longer be in her care. They do a lot that they don't have to do. I've seen this with my eyes over and over again. Thanks Dr. Spooner!

Do not bring your cats here. This vet is all about the money, and does not have any compassion or empathy towards you or your pet. Repeatedly takes advantage of pet owners with older pets. Pushed for expensive and unnecessary treatments, that when I went to another vet for second opinion, were deemed unnecessary and borderline cruel to put my frail 18 year old cat through.

Beware.
I started using Hill's metabolic diet since my cat needed to lose weight. As a promotion for this expensive product, I was told by the vet clinic that if I buy 3 bags, I would get 1 free. When I went to pick up my free bag, there was none in stock but they said they would put one aside for me. When I went there the following week, I was told someone else had picked up my free bag, claiming it was for my cat. I asked the vet if that person had signed for it and she said no. I asked for the person's name but the vet said she had not asked since the person knew my cat's name. Now the vet refuses to give me my free bag.
This is unfair. Why should I have to pay for the vet's mistake? If they leave information lying around their clinic that an immoral person can read and use to their advantage, why should I suffer for it?
I am not a liar. This vet should do the right thing as give me the free bag instead of treating me like a con artist.

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Spooner when she first opened. I will never forget the care she gave my beloved cat whom I loved like a son when he was on his deathbed. If you love your cat this is the place to bring him or her. It`s considerably less stressful for cats to go to a feline-only clinic. She exudes caring and compassion. So much so that I even got upset when I read about the lukewarm review and, frankly, don`t believe a word of it. In fact, it sounds like someone is upset that Dr. Spooner stuck up for the poor cat. All my friends and family see her and recommending tests for the sole purpose of making money is unheard of. It also ignores all the stray cats that Dr.Spooner and her staff have taken in, treated, spayed/neutered and adopted out. at a significant cost to them. Say what you want but never dispute the care that Dr. Spooner gives each patient. Every cat that finds him- or herself at her clinic truly lucked out.

We are so happy to have found Dr. Spooner two years ago when we adopted our kitty. She and her team have been amazing every time that we have brought our feline friend into the clinic, whether for medical care or for boarding. When our kitty was sick this past year, Dr. Spooner listened to the symptoms we described, examined her, then performed an X-Ray. She then showed us the film and explained her findings and an MRI of the area was suggested in order to determine exactly what we were dealing with. Had this not been the case, we would not have our kitty today. Dr. Spooner did exactly what I would expect and want from my own personal physician if I were the one who were ill.

Have never felt that Dr. Spooner suggested tests that were not necessary for our cats. When my cat dislocated his tail she managed to pop it back into place, avoiding surgery and extra costs.
Follow up definitely needs improvement but I believe Dr. Spooner and her staff genuinely care about the cats they treat.

Dr Spooner said my mothers cat was seriously ill and recommended hundreds of dollars of tests. When I refused she laid on all kinds of guilt. We had the cat seen by another vet and every concern Dr Spooner had was non existant.Makes you wonder where her priorities lie.It seems to be with manipulating an 89 year old lady.I have reported this to the Vet Association.
