Click to report rating    6/30/17   5     5     5     5   Used to come here years ago when Dr Kim Corfield used to work here. She was not personable and the staff there had very strong opinions. So much so the old main receptionist got my insurance claim messed up and then because of that my dogs condition was not insurance from that point on. Walked in there a few weeks ago to buy dog food, and all the staff had changed the new manager nita took the time to ask how my pet was doing. Then as we spoke more she explain how things have changed staff, doctors, nurse, etc. She was very kind and understanding appologized for what had happened to me. She also offered to have the owner call me. Needless to say my experience was very pleasant. The place was very clean, smelt like cupcakes, and nice welcome signs on their exam room doors. Will definitley be back soon. RID: 64047

3/3/17   1     1     1     1   This clinic should be shut down, the staff are terrible and the veterinarian should be ashamed. We adopted a sweet rescue who had been abused and living as a stray, as soon as we walked in they saw the love we already had for our dog and saw dollar signs. It disgusts me how people could do this. We spent thousands of dollars at that vet for non existent conditions. The vet dr. Kim cornfield (Can’t remember the spelling) recommended dental procedures and said the dog needed a dental specialist because of a dead tooth that could potentially kill the dog. when we took the dog to the langley animal clinic they were horrified by what we had been told. We immediately switched vets and are loving it! RID: 62897
Click to report rating    2/4/17   1     3     1     1   Took my puppy there and Dr said "your puppy has a luxating patella on 1 side and I can't really get the other side to move" as she was Forcing his knee Hard and then started talking to me about Pet Insurance! Kind of felt like she was trying to Force him to have knee issues he's just a puppy so no need for that as we were there for an Issue not related to his knees! I feel like this vet only wants you if you have pet insurance!! Had a LONG wait almost 30mins! The amount they charge is Well above the norm and are Very expensive for Spays and Neuters I got quoted around $300 by the time the 1st check and 2nd check and blood panel are done that's not even the Neuter!! The neuter with pain meds and ecollar was another $300 that's Crazy!! All in all there's better vets out there and Much more affordable Shop Around!! RID: 62555
Click to report rating    1/11/17   5     5     1     5   We went to this clinic for the 1st time with our new puppy who's 4mths old who hurt his leg. Front desk staff were very nice and fit us in same day, getting there clinic is very clean no odors. Desk staff were very nice and happy. Did have to wait over 30mins after appointment time to be seen by the vet, but well worth it once speaking to the Dr she was very Knowledgeable and had lots of insight which was very helpful. She calmed my worries about our not even 3lb puppy and overall it was a Great experience between the front desk staff and the Dr's. I would recommend! RID: 62341
Click to report rating    8/13/15   5     5     5     5   Been coming here for many years, and recently came in with my cat and saw all new staff. Overall feel is much better, loved the new dr. Dr. Gibson is very friendly and the staff were so helpful. Feliway in the room, loved the attention to details! LOVE THE NEW CLINIC! RID: 58041
Click to report rating    7/23/15   1     2     1     1   Aweful staffs eith rude attitude. Never there to help but sell. RID: 57790
3/12/15   3     4     3     2   We took our little dog here for almost 6 years. Not sure why we stayed so long as we were never pleased. The staff were ok, as long as you agree with everything. One assistant however would get very put off if your dog growled during nail clipping, as if the dog is supposed to like it? What we really didn't like was how everything seemed to be sales. All of the staffed answered questions in an unnatural scripted method, and no options were really given. They always wanted to do extensive pricey tests for obvious problems and continuously wanted to do follow-up exams(for a $40 fee) even when our dog was just fine. The vet wanted to do procedures I felt weren't right and on getting a second opinion found out were completely unnecessary. Pushing their food, products and a friends dog training skills seemed to be a priority. The vet would get very defensive and disagreeable anytime you mention you've looked something up yourself. We saw Dr.Corfield and I believe she works elsewhere now. RID: 56252
Click to report rating    12/29/14   5     5     5     5   Never had a vet I've liked better. Came to Dr. Nina and Dr. Kim with 2 very sick dogs. The doctors and the whole staff were above-and-beyond compassionate, professional, kind, knowledgeable....No sales pushes, clear explanations of reasons for procedures and tests.Location is very handy.I will never take a dog anywhere else. Sure, vet care costs money, but I wonder why people get upset about this. Dogs don't have socialized medicine, but the professionals who care for them still need to be paid. Don't get a pet if you can't afford its care and get pet insurance!I'm confident that the staff at Central Langley Vet Hospital will help me through the thick and thin of caring for my very important family members!  6/13/14   5     5     5     5   The staff here is excellent. They've always been very understanding and empathetic with our pets. They don't mind taking the extra few minutes to put a pet at ease before starting an exam or procedure. Nothing ever feels rushed, it's wonderful. RID: 52093

5/8/14   5     5     5     5   Every time we've visited, they've done a fabulous job. We've been coming here for awhile so my dog has gotten to know them and is comfortable there. He actually gets so excited whenever we go for an appointment. I know that he's receiving the best care available. We're very happy that they're our vet and can't imagine coming anywhere else.      3/30/14   3     3     3     1   What good is it that staff are good and the clinic is in prime real estate location when all they seem to care about is to sell pricey procedures, products and services and rush you through appointments to maximize revenue. Knowing that we have pet insurance and that we adore our dog, I feel that they have been taking advantage of us for years selling us food and supplements they carry and scaring us into doing procedures that turned out to be overly expensive when compared to other practices all over North America. After their final sales push for a teeth cleaning procedure that elsewhere is priced at a third of their price, we finally decided to switch to a professional and reasonable Vet. Nice, smiling assistants and vets at Central Langley Pet Hospital DO NOT EQUAL quality care and reasonable pricing for health services for a beloved member of our family. That is our bottom line. Click to report rating    8/13/13   2     4     1     1   My wife went in for a simple case of kennel cough for our Australian shepherd. She was made to feel guilty about everything we've done. Our dog is on raw food so the doctor suggested he is underweight and tried to sell us all sorts of supplements as well as a cookbook. We feel over vaccination is a big problem in both the vetinarian and human world of medicine. The doctor tried to scare my wife into all sorts of vaccinations...."your dog might get this and that" ....what ever the doctor could do improve her profit margins. Dogs flourish on raw food and do far better than man made time saver processed foods...that's a simple well documented fact but my wife was made to feel that unless she buys a bunch of un-necessary supplements and juices our dog up with vaccines she is unresponsible dog owner. Find a vet with a lower profit margin and a lot more knowledge and morality. Look for a vet not a sales centre. RID: 46265
6/16/13   1     1     1     1   This female vet a year earlier said we should check our dog for lung cancer during his routine check-up. I thought to myself that she was trying to run up my bill, and I decided not to follow through with the X-rays. A few weeks ago my dog started to go down-hill fast, so I felt really bad for not listening to her. When I took him back to her, thinking I screwed up, she recommended all sorts of tests be done, and that she suspects my dog has a very rare disease. After $950.00 she calls and said he didn't have the disease, but wanted to run another $300.00 to confirm it was a bladder infection!!! I freaked out and said no, she would not release the prescription for antibiotics or pain medicine. Did I mention she wanted another $2000.00 to pull out half his teeth? She was wrong on every count, my dog is doing brilliantly and cheaply under a new REAL vet! It's sad it cost ME over $1000.00 to find out she is a **** and a thief! Run don't walk from this vet!!! RID: 43154
4/30/13   1     1     1     1   This vet mixed up my 2 dogs she did not diagnoses them correctly. (They don't even look alike) The one with liver disease was not given any medications to correct or salvage what was left of the liver by not given meds to help improve liver or to just keep what was left of it. The other one with no liver disease was put on medication to help the liver. A year later knowing something was wrong. I went for a second opinion. Sure enough the dog with the liver problem had to have surgery to remove gallbladder and take a biopsy of the liver. From there it went from bad to worst. The dog had to be put down because of complications. This is animal abuse .Why is this Dr. Still practising. I had talked to them about this and they seen NOT to take ownership of what error she made. Please be careful when going to this Vet. PETA should be at their door steps assuring proper procedures are being dog. ( Pet 's can't talk ) and tell us there problem. Bad bad bad place to take your pet RID: 42170
Click to report rating    10/29/11   5     5     5     4   I transferred my pets to the care of the veterinarians at Central Langley Pet Hospital almost two years ago. The quality of medical care compared to the other hospitals I've been to is unmatched. They provide the highest level of care I've come across. They do not take shortcuts and risk my pet's safety to save a few bucks. I like that they treat my pets as they would wish their own pets to be treated. If only the patients in human hospitals received this kind of care, we'd all be a lot better off. I have recommended them to friends and family, and those who have switched have been very grateful. The costs of running this kind of hospital are higher than the cut rate hospitals, but when it comes down to it, my furry children deserve better than bargain basement. RID: 28677
Click to report rating    8/30/11   5     5     5     2   I really like the people at this vet. They seem to genuinely care about the animals and are very thorough at explaining things. I have however, always felt like I have been paying quite a bit. And so when I got the estimate for my dogs neutering at $585 (blood work/tatooo/microchip included)I decided to look around. I then found out my parents paid only a total of $150 a few years ago, I was shocked. And for the record, my dog's and my parent's dog's procedures are both considered standard. And they have nothing but good things to say about him. So my overall feeling is that although they seem to be good vets, I do think that they are taking advantage of their convenient location and overcharging! RID: 27281
Click to report rating    11/6/10   4     5     5     4   Dr Corfield was great with my frenchie. The staff did numerous calls as did Dr Corfield for updates on how he was doing. I firmly believe in value for my money, and while they are not the cheapest vet around, they gave great service and practice good medicine. RID: 20681

Click to report rating    2/25/09   5     5     5     5   The staff and doctors at this vet are amazing! I have been bringing my 2 chihuahuas here since the day i bought them. I would recommend Dr Michelle to anyone I know! She is just great with the dogs and has such good advice. Even if I just call to ask a question, they call me back the next day to make sure everything is alright. RID: 11826
Click to report rating    10/30/08   1     1     1     1   my bird was a totaly plucker when i took her to see Dr. Michelle. From the very beging i asked her if it could possibly be feather mites she told me it dosent Look Like It. i thought the Dr. is an avian dr so she must know what she is talking about so after a few more visits she talked me into putting my poor bird on haloperidol a very horrible human drug because she thought that it was behavioral. My bird did ok the first few days then had a total break down so i took her off of it. After this happend i took her back i guess i didnt learn. We tried a Cone collar for her it took for ever to come in then the size that was orderd was way to big so she was still able to pluck. By the end of it my bird was so upset that she was open mouth breathing. I felt so bad that we kind of just accepted this is the way she is going to be. After a few months i took to another dr and he did one blood test and found out she had feather mites. Im still kind of upset that my poor bird had to suffer. RID: 10452
