Very professional, knowledgeable staff... Dr Scruton has seen my farm through numerous medical procedures... thank you Equerry we are very lucky to have such an excellent, top notch clinic in our small town!!!

We are so fortunate to have such a high quality equine vet on Vancouver Island. I couldn't believe the ratings. Some say that Dr. Scruton is expensive, but he also very experienced and quick. You pay for what you get. He did an examination and injected both my horses hocks in 1 hour. He is also a highly skilled surgeon.

Horribly rude and arrogant man. Someone needs to tell him he's not God and bring his ego down a few notches! Contradicted my regular vet, leaving me feeling confused and dumbfounded about the diagnosis and best treatment for my equine partner.

Very rude and arrogant.... I am a highly educated professional and still was spoken to like a lesser person. Professionalism and basic respect would go a long way for this man.

Just because one is board certified in surgery, doesn't make them an expert - only experience, thoughtfulness, and continuing education make a great surgeon. Dr. Scruton is unprofessional, confrontational and unwilling to listen to owners concerns. I found him to be arrogant and disrespectful of my concerns, inept at keeping medical records, and when the worst outcome occurred all he had to say was "that's never happened to me before" - no apology, no recognition of his mistakes. If you care about your horses, please take them elsewhere.
