Called Mobile Veterinary Service at 6pm yesterday to set up a 10-minute phone consultation with Dr. Tina Chou for tomorrow afternoon. I was charged $10 in advance for the tele-appointment. This morning, I had to cancel the appointment. I booked the appointment 16 hours ago before cancelling, and I cancelled the appointment 26 hours prior to the scheduled phone consultation. Yet, I was told $10 is non-refundable. This left a bad taste in my mouth.

Staff and facilitites rated 3* because Dr. Chou is a caring Vet who treated our cat well BUT has been abysmal at follow-up re information required by our insurer Trupanion. Efforts to reach out to Dr. Chou went unanswered for a month. In order to not to lose the $585 claim, I became involved and was told that it will cost me $10 to speak to Dr. Chou, $90 for medical records and so on.
I understand that Dr. Chou's time is valuable and that a price should be put on it - but $90 for my own cat's medical records seems high to me, as all notes could have been provided when Dr. Chou's visit was complete. I am now only in need of a note confirming that Dr. Chou had never before seen our cat (Trupanion wants to eliminate pre-existing conditions). Even getting something that simple seems to be a challenge for Dr. Chou's back-office operation, which consists of a third-party phone service, which itself is only a return-of-call operation rather than a real-time customer service function.

Dr. Tina Chou and her team were a calming force of professionalism and compassion during a trying time during an unexpected set of symptoms in my aging cat. The care and attention, follow-up and warmth really made a difference in educational awareness for myself. Learning of aging in cats, a need for change in routine and care for myself as a primary caregiver and how it is possible to introduce stranger veterinarian services to an introverted cat and see positive results of healing. With much gratitude and appreciation, Daisy

I was extremely happy with the Veterinarian and the team members of the Toronto Mobile Veterinary Services. They were extremely helpful, and very loving. I have not found a more caring and loving service in the industry, and I am so glad they Service the Toronto area. The Veternarian provided many educational phamlets for me to read and also did not rush my consultation time, they were professional and made me feel at ease at the comfort of my own home. Thank you. I highly recommend Toronto Mobile Veterinary Services

I moved to Richmond Hill almost two years ago and I was looking for a new vet for my two cats. They get really stressed with traveling in the car and at the vet clinic, so I thought I'd give this mobile vet a try.
I could not be happier with my experience. Booking online was easy, and the vet was so kind and helpful with both my cats. I especially liked how the vet was so very thorough and really took the time to explain everything in regards to their care, as well as following up with me on the phone a few days later to make sure everything is going smoothly.
This level of care is phenomenal and I would recommend this vet company to anyone.

I called TMVS to get a rough idea about their prices. Their phone number goes to a booking service, which informed me that I had to speak to a veterinarian in order to get any pricing info. He then kept trying to push me into booking a "phone consultation," talking over me as I repeatedly asked whether this "consultation" was free or would cost money. When I repeated my question a third time, he finally stopped and admitted that this phone call would cost $10! $10 just to ask them about their fees! By that point, I knew exactly what type of people I was dealing with. Draw your own conclusions...

Dr. Tina Chou was so caring and sweet with our cat. She's professional, loving and provided guidance and excellent care during our cat’s illness and his eventual passing. It was definitely worth the extra money for her to come visit our home as our cat hates travelling especially when sick. Dr. Tina provided us with comfort during this time. I also appreciated how prepared she was for each visit and how she explained everything in accurate detail.
Lots of comments here about cost. Dr. Tina’s care is worth the money. Pet’s are expensive, pet care is expensive, your pet is worth it.

Made an appointment for Dr. Chou to examine my skittish/feral cat. It went well, and she was very gentle in handling her. The issue I have is COST - she charges $10 just to speak with her for a few minutes over the phone. It's just plain ridiculous when there are other mobile vets (such as the new one I got) who will chat with you anytime without charging you anything. The quality of care from Dr. Chou isn't even that much better for her to be doing this. She also tacks on another fee if your appointment goes longer than 30 minutes - so beware. I do not recommend, have already found another mobile vet whose primary concern is not money, but the health of your pet.

Our dog could no longer go outside to do his business, or even stand up, and our family vet said that there was no reversing his condition, and that he was in a lot of pain. We knew that it was time to stop his suffering, so we choose Dr Tina Chou for our end of life service and her gentleness was much appreciated during our appointment. Our whole family is thankful for Dr Tina seeing off Max in such a kind-hearted way.

Had this vet come and see my cat who absolutely hates going to the vet. She found the cause of her scratching (fleas) and treated her. Poptart is doing much better now. I recommend this vet.

Saying goodbye to my dog was one of the most painful moments of my life, but Dr. Tina's kindness and compassion was just what my family and I needed to get through it. She guided us through the procedure with grace and professionalism and made Zeus's passing just a tad more bearable. I would highly recommend Dr. Tina for anyone that has an ailing pet.

I called TMV out of desperation because my cat was having difficulty breathing. Tina arrived shortly with her assistant, but soon began to ramble on, and everything she was saying sounded scripted and ungenuine. She gave my cat two shots which worked minimally, and she sold me pills. By the next morning, my cat died, suffocating from water in his lungs. She gave me a "courtesy" call 3 days later, 2 days after he died, but i missed the call and could not inform her. I refuse to pay $10+tax to speak to her over the phone, telling her that she horribly misdiagnosed and/or misjudged the time my cat had/treatment he needed. I don't buy any of the things she told me, and prices were ridiculous. I paid $300 for that visit alone, and he died he next day. She had more fun playing with him and talking in an annoying baby voice than actually treating him. She only cared about the money. And why should a "booking service" cost an extra $80 anyway? Unheard of. Horrible, disturbing experience.

When Sparks got too sick to take to our regular vet, I had Toronto Mobile Veterinary Service come by and examine him. Dr Tina was our vet and you could instantly tell that she knows her stuff and her bedside manner was great! She made us feel so much better and fast forward to today Sparks is up and back to normal! Thank you Dr Tina for helping our dog!
Also I don't know what that other reviewer is talking about with that $1000, but my nail trimming fee was only $30.

Dr. Tina Chou came to my house in late July, 2015 at a cost of approximately $1,000.00 to cut my dog's nails and look at his ears. In August I contacted her to say that my dog's ears were still infected and she recommended that we go to a medication to help his ears. Dr. Chou had also overcharged me for an ear medication that she never gave me and promised to credit my account for the $48.00 for this and she never did. She also left two of her needles on my bed which I found the night she was at my house as I got into bed. One did not have a plastic cover on the needle part and the other needle was still in the package. I have been leaving messages for her since late August, 2015 requesting a review of the charges on my credit cards. She has NOT returned one call and refuses to call me back to discuss the fact that the ear treatment she gave my dog made his ears worse than they were and I had to take him to another vet who charged me another $700.00 and she was able to clear up h

Coming out of this long cold winter, I noticed that my dog was a bit sluggish and less energetic than usual. To ease my stress, I booked an appointment with Dr. Tina at Toronto Mobile Veterinary Services in order to get a heartworm blood test. I wanted to make sure that my dog hadn't contracted a heartworm and gotten heartworm disease. The great news is my dog is fine, and I fully recomend this professional veterinary company! Thanks so much!

Being a very busy business owner and having a newly senior dog that would become anxious in car rides, I sought out a mobile vet service online a few years ago and came across the Toronto Mobile Veterinary Services website. After inviting Dr. Tina and her team to do at-home blood testing and vaccines on my 3 dogs, I knew I had found our family vet!! BeBe, Fluffy and Buddy absolutely LOVE their visits with Dr. Tina and it always amazes me on how gentle and good she is with my dogs!!

This "vet" is a screwball. She misdiagnosed my cat and did a procedure that jeopardized her health. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL.

This Dr. had nothing she needed for the appt. Seemed to be too worried about taking payment from me than actually worrying about my cat. Made me do most of her work. She forgot some of her stuff at my place and had to come back and bother me again. I saw her googling on her computer!

Tina's a real vet but you wouldn't know it by her attitude. She's immature, unprofessional and dresses in skin tight street clothes. She shows up late, rushes through the appointment and gives a million excuses for why she has to leave right away to run to another emergency. She probably really just wants to get back to her "coffee break". She's the epitome of laziness. You're better off going to a regular vet clinic where you'll be charged half the price that Tina charges. There's also other mobile services in the city where you'll pets will get treated with the veterinary care they deserve. Sincerely, JUST SAY NO TO TMVS

Full disclosure. I am an emergency physician (for humans). We have had Dr. Tina take care of our six cats and puppy over the last several months since learning about her. She is a great doc; knowledge, professional, caring, and develops a great rapport with animals. Excellent vet.

Is this even a real vet? When my pup had an ear infection, dr. tina, just "goggled" the medication. And at the follow up appointment was looking in to the wrong ear and saying how it got better, and proceeded to show it to me...that healthy ear (does she think im an idiot?)Also was 1 hour late for the appointment time.

These folks are really awesome. They handled my little guy so nicely when many other vets have been afraid. He has always needed to be sedated to perform any exams because he freaks out when he goes to the vet, but having the exam at home with people who know how to handle him made a world of difference ! They were kind and explained everything in depth to me. It is very clear how much they love animals by how well they treated my kitty. I would recommend them over and over. The price was very reasonable for all of the accommodations they made for us.

I had never heard of a mobile vet until I saw Dr. Tina’s ad in the Metro News. Knowing that I would soon be needing an end of life service for my 18 year old cat, I looked over her website and was immediately attracted to Dr. Tina. I knew that, when the time came, I did not want to put my cat through the stress of a car ride and ending its life in the unfamiliar environment of a vet’s office.
Dr. Tina and her assistant came to our home, examined our beloved pet and concurred that it was time. She carefully explained the procedure and gave us as much time as we needed to prepare and to say goodbye.
We were struck by Dr. Tina’s empathy both for our beloved Ben and for us and highly recommend her for any veterinary service that could be done at home.

Dr. Tina Chou of Toronto Mobile Vetinerary Services provided courteous and compassionate vetinerary services when helping me with my very sick cat. Her practical advice and understanding helped me cope and accept a difficult decision. I highly recommend this service to anyone who wants to avoid further trauma for a very ill and already stressed pet by getting it treated at home. And if your beloved pet's time has come, let it's last moments be in the comfort and familiarity of your loving home.

We had been considering a new vet when we got a postcard advertising Toronto Mobile Veterinary Services and figured we'd give it a try. Dr. Chou has been extremely responsive to appointment requests, emails, etc. and has been nothing but professional and friendly the whole time. During the appointment, she and her assistant were awesome and patient with my cats (I had to fish one out from under the bed... twice... while the other kept trying to investigate all of their equipment) and it was clear they both have a great love of animals. Dr. Chou was very thorough and addressed all of my concerns, answered all of my questions, and the invoice contained very detailed notes and advice on conditions she noticed. Prices are comparable to other clinics in the neighbourhood, although there is a 'housecall charge' which is fair considering the quality of service received. Her hours of operation are excellent for those of us who work past closing hours of most other clinics, too!

Dr. Tina Chou is super awesome and was very patient with my cat. It is great to have a vet that I can trust and can come over to my place for my cat's annual physical & vaccinations. My cat hated being packed up to go to the vet and visits to the vet used to ruin his entire week. We didn't have to go through that this time with Dr. Chou. We highly recommend her!! Thanks again for being such a great vet to our baby!

Tried out this new Mobile Vet Service serving downtown Toronto. Dr. Chou was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. She was very gentle and patient with my cat who has never been good at going to the vet, hence why I wanted to try a mobile service. Having his exam performed in my home, alleviated so much anxiety on him. Signed up for my appointment online, and got a confirmation response quickly. Highly recommend this service.
