2/14/13   2     2     2     1   This place is ALL about the money. I spent $615 for my cat to basically have a blood test and 2 mini sized, mostly empty vials of meds for a diagnosis of "nothing wrong." I was given no warning of the ridiculous fees. Unauthorized procedures were administered.(Probably to max out the fees.) When I expressed my dismay, Dr. Genova offered no mitigation and no ethical responsibility to warn clients of costs. Click to report rating    8/22/12   1     2     2     1   Overpriced,unfriendly-misleading as to charges for spay/neuter- they participate in the Oregon Spay Neuter voucher program-but the $35-45 is for SURGERY ONLY- it doesn't even include anesthetic-that's extra. Had two cats spayed/neutered,expecting to pay $80 total- the bill was $206. When one came down with conjunctivitis after surgery, was told to bring him in, they would do a "complimentary" exam- the doctor spent approx. 5 minutes removing the cat from the carrier by the scruff of her neck, taking the cat's temp, swabbing an eye, then wrote a scrip for eyedrops- the bill was $91-after the "complimentary exam" . The eyedrops are about $20 on the web- so- will not be going back or recommending them. They don't appear to even like animals-or people. Their main concern is pushing long-term maintenance contracts and collecting as much $$$ for as little care as possible. This place formerly was Bauman's Veterinary in Nye Beach/Newport almost as bad. Nothing has changed. RID: 36745
