The dosages on one medication was 4 times what she was supposed to be taking. Had I followed their instructions, my dog would have been died. I have been looking for a professional vet in Chilliwack since moving here but obviously, this is not the one. I will be sure to let everyone know of my experience. I am beyond angry and disgusted RID: 69184
Click to report rating    7/3/18   5     5     5     5   We are long term clients of Sardis Animal Hospital. The office staff, technicians and veterinarians have always gone the "extra mile" to accommodate us and the needs of our dogs. Also they have always begun with the least invasive (and least expensive) approach which we appreciate because veterinary expenses can be a big stress on a family budget. This is a first class veterinary hospital. RID: 66420
Click to report rating    6/18/17   1     1     1     1   Our beloved dog Sydney (a female, 13yr. old lab/shepherd Cross who weighed about 90lbs) had been a patient at Sardis Animal Hospital since moving here 3 yrs. ago. Two months ago the Sardis vet referred us to the Langley Animal Hospital where, on May 4, Sydney was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given about 1 month to live. 3 Weeks later her quality of life had diminished to the point we knew it was time to say goodbye. We called Sardis Vet. to arrange an emergency home visit for euthanasia and were told that they did not do home visits and they could not "fit her in" for several days thereby preventing us from protecting her from unnecessary suffering. Serendipitously, we called the Vedder Mountain Vet. Clinic. Dr.Leslie Ross and assistant came to our home the next morning (Saturday May 27). Sydney died in our arms, in her home, on her bed in an atmosphere of great love and peace. We are forever grateful to Dr.Ross! SHE is NOW our family Vet! Be warned about Sardis Animal Hosp.! Click to report rating    5/18/12   5     5     5     5   It was a Sunday when we put our beloved dog down. It was the hardest decision me and my family have ever had to make. She was 18 years old and I was home for the weekend. I had her since I was 5 years old and she was nothing but a good well behaved dog. Dr. Powell answered when I called to get pricing and he was nothing but helpful. He even came to our house to put her to into an eternal sleep. I have never seen my mother cry like she did and Dr. Powell was nothing but graceful and respectful. I would recommend him and this clinic to everyone I know. On behalf of my family I want to thank Dr Powell for helping us with our decision and coming to our home even though our home is not easy to find. Thank You So So Much RID: 34347
Click to report rating    1/5/12   5     5     5     5   Good and compassionate care for all of our Berners. Saw our first dog, Jerry through chemo for lymphoma with a 2 year survival thereafter. Set out our options clearly. Price was reasonable for the service provided. After hours service is excellent. RID: 30303
Click to report rating    5/27/11   2     3     3     3   My dog had skin problems, and I found my visits confusing, overwhelming and unhelpful. Was given prescriptions for antibiotics, steroids, topical creams, shampoos, and told that if it was allergies it would be a "long & expensive road." Multiple visits, my dog's skin turned black, and bled from her scratching so much, and the steroids she was prescribed resulted in weakened bladder control (my dog is only 2) A visit to Valley Veterinary resulted in a strict dietary regime, and in one month, my dog was completely symptom free. My male dog was fixed here, and we had complications with the suture; the area became infected, the cone they gave him was not big enough, and it was extremely painful for him. Have switched vets - do not feel that their diagnostics are strong enough here. RID: 25265
