Click to report rating    1/18/14   4     4     2     1   Dr Levitan has a wealth of knowledge in veterinary medicine (I'm taking her word for it) but performs every test she can at your expense and looks at you sadly if you don't want to or can't afford the tests. She has her own equipment which is paid for but still makes up these astronomical fees. And she'll quote you one price and when you get to the front desk the final bill will be twice that. I'm looking for an honest vet who cares more about animals than her multimillion dollar home! RID: 49327
Click to report rating    9/3/12   1     3     2     1   Dr. Diane Levitan misdiagnosed my dog, jumping to a quick and incorrect diagnosis of likely mass cell cancer. She performed unnecessary, excessive and costly tests and advised me to take him to a specialty hospital, where after it was aspirated, turned out to be nothing more than an small benign growth on his leg, which was easily removed by another vet for a small amount. Dr. Levitan had not been in private practive for awhile, owning a mobile sonogram service, so apparently her lack of practical experience cost me over $1200 which ould have cost me only $350 (the amount charged by the second vet who did not need any of the tests other than the cytology report. Dr. Levitian admitted to me later than she should have aspirated the mass before sending me down to the specialty hospital. The emotional cost to me was so unnecessary and when I asked her for a refund of certain costs, she refused and would not even discuss it. AVOID. RID: 36980
