Dr. Young was the best vet we have ever had! Unfortunately we moved to another city. We had Excellent compassionate ethical care at Port Hope Vet Hospital!

We are extremely pleased with Dr. Kris Young and Port Hope Veterinary Hospital. Our dog Winnie has had excellent results with laser therapy there. Both of our cats have been seen by Dr. Kris and one of our cats recently had dental surgery there. Our pets have received exceptional care. We are very pleased and highly recommend Dr. Kris Young and Port Hope Veterinary Hospital.

My beloved cat was almost dead and I took him in to be put to sleep. A few years ago with my last cat th cost of euthanasia and dremation was 95.00 and this time 238.00 That is a staggering increase.I know there are costs but as a very oldperson I will have to think twice about getting another cat.

Dr.Young by far exceeds any veternarian that we have ever had to care for our animals. He has been caring for our very senior cocker spaniel since he took over the clinic and his care and advice truly demonstrates his passion for animals.

I brought my rabbit here because he had a severe abcess above his eye. I must say, the PHVH staff (Dr. Winters in particular) did everything they could to get my rabbit back to good health, even when his future was looking pretty bleek (abcesses are NOT easy to treat in rabbits). My financial situation is not that great, so the cost of appointments and treatments were starting to add up significantly. Knowing my situation, I was offered that my rabbit be overseen free of charge from that moment on. This was truly amazing. The compassion, generocity and kindness of the staff at PHVH is overwhelming and something I will never forget. My rabbit would not have survived this ordeal without their assistance and generocity, and this is something I am truly grateful for. These vets care about each and every animal they see which I find rare these days. I really can not thank the entire staff enough. Dr. Winters, youre truly an amazing vet. Thank you for everything. Wilbur loves you!

Although I had been with my previous veterinarian for over 15 years, I decided to find a clinic closer that would give me the same excellence that I had grown accustomed to. A friend recommended Port Hope Veterinary Hospital and in December I took my dog and cat there. I liked the positive energy and pleasant atmosphere and found Dr. Menary to be open-minded, approachable, thorough, and attentive. I did not feel rushed and was given excellent information in order to make informed decisions regarding my animals. I look forward to developing an ongoing relationship with the staff at Port Hope Veterinary Hospital.

I'm new to the area and on the advice of a neighbour, took my 2 cats to Port Hope Veterinary Hospital. I was treated warmly and efficiently. My concerns and questions about vaccinations ( my cats are indoor only) were addressed honestly, and in depth. I'm impressed, I was worried I would not be able to find the quality care I experienced at my last clinic in Toronto, but here it is.

I find the veterinarians to be warm and caring. Great staff. My pets matter to them. I will never go anywhere else.

Friendly and caring doctors and staff. I have several pets and have been going here for 20 years. They are very thorough and explain things well. My dogs love going to the vet.

Absolutely no compassion. After taking my one dog there for 3 years, I got another dog from the shelter and brought her. First question from the vet after staring at their charts (vastly different breeds and ages) was "are they littermates?" He then proceeded to give a full round of vaccinations when I specified I only wanted the rabies. I changed vets, and wont be going back to Port Hope vet.

The worst clinic I have ever been to. The vet is rude and condescending and needs an attitude adjustment. We all aren't rich and can afford her outrageous prices. I am a great pet owner, love my animals and do the best I can. That vet makes you feel like you are neglecting your pet if you don't do everything and pay for everything they say then you are a horrible owner!!! I will never go back.
