Click to report rating    11/5/17   5     5     5     5   We had to have our two cats put down. They were old and sick this was very upsetting for us, the vet was very caring I would recommend this clinic to everyone the staff is te best RID: 64994
Click to report rating    6/5/17   2     2     1     2   Dog had a ripped dew claw. Vet didn't even look at it, just prescribed antibiotics. Brother's cat was misdiagnosed and almost died for something treatable. Receptionist is fantastic, the vet herself is horrible. She doesn't listen and I got the impression she really didn't like animals? Reception area is tiny, not good when you have multiple animals in there (which you'll have because they are definitely not punctual). She's cheap...and you get what you pay for, shoddy care. Click to report rating    5/18/16   1     1     1     3   I called to have our elderly cat put down do to rapidly failing health. When I spoke with them on the phone on a Friday they claimed they were too busy to see him. They said to come in Monday, I told them I would be there at 4:30 on Monday.I called and left them a message the Monday morning at 10:30 confirming I would be there at 4:30 and if there was a problem to please call me back and let me know. I showed up at 4:30 with my cat in my arms to be told the vet left at 2:30 and they couldn't help me. I was booked for surgery the next day so I was unable to rebook with them for the next day. First thing Wednesday morning I called 3 times and left messages pleading with them to call me asap, that the cat was in really bad shape and needed to come in right away before he got into distress. I received no return call. In the meantime I was lucky enough to contact another facility who took him right away. This place has no compassion to a dying pet clearly in need of desperate help. Click to report rating    2/17/16   5     5     5     5   Very satisfied with the level of care. I have been taking my doodle there for 2 years and have never had a complaint. They do not overcharge or recommend unnecessary surgery and follow up appointments. Very ethical, practical and compassionate care. It is easy to get caught up in the emotions when our fur babies are not well, but this vet does not take advantage of her clients. I highly recommend her. RID: 59810

Click to report rating    12/20/13   5     5     5     5   I loved the place. Finally a vet whose invoice does not make you shudder! When I called our previous vet and they said they were now charging $85 for a vet consultation that was it! The Bruce Street hospital isn’t as fancy or spacious as the other places we’ve been to. The vet does have an accent as others have complained. But you know what? She was absolutely friendly and professional, explained everything to me about my kitty’s condition, and after the procedure was done (dentistry) she called and told me how it went. And I am an immigrant myself – so I would never complain about it in the first place. And they only charge $37 per visit which is reasonable! RID: 48875
Click to report rating    9/2/13   5     5     5     5   THANK YOU BRUCE STREET ANIMAL HOSPITAL! FOR YOUR SUCCESSFUL HIGH RISK SURGERY ON OUR CAT!!,your tender loving care during my cat's examination you gave my cat, and for your support you gave me when you told me the diagnosis of incurable cancer. Thanks for all your time explaining the treatment options, answering all my questions, the detailed breakdown of the fee for everything needed during surgery and for the frequent appointments after surgery. I highly recommend Bruce Street Animal Hospitsl RID: 46687

Click to report rating    3/26/13   1     2     1     5   I took my cat in there in January, got about 4 vaccines done which the vet didn't even explain to me very well what they were for. The final one was deworming medication which didn't even go in his mouth he spit it out but I was still charged for it... Finally I wanted him neutered and declawed, when I picked him up I was not pleased. His paws looked like they went through and wood chipper and I was told one of them opened up over night, in their attempt to fix it it looked absolutely aweful ( I've had 5 cats before so I know how they are suppose to look) after e surgery, he was sick for way longer then I was told he would be and finally got very very sick this past week with something internal, I immediately called the vet and told them exactly what was going on, they just told me to come in the next day, that night I came home and he was dead on my bed! Do not trust them with surgeries! Very sketchy in the way they practice! I'm so upset about my kitty btw he was only 3. RID: 41351
Click to report rating    2/7/13   3     5     4     1   My Poor sick cat was dying of liver failure and I don't have a lot of money to spend of vet bills so I called half the vets in Kitchener Waterloo on the cost to euthanize my cat. On the phone I was told $156 for everything. When we got there with our dying cat who was in a lot of pain we were charged $230 instead cause they didn't add the sedative in the cost. The vet also very hard to understand with a very thick accent so it was hard to talk to her. RID: 40239
Click to report rating    12/6/12   5     3     5     5   Both the vet and assistant were pleasant. The vet was up-to-date on current treatments for my kittens specific issue. She did not rush me, took time to answer questions, and did not mention (push) any other unrelated products or services. The exam fee was very competitive, as listed on the website. The medications were not overpriced. The clinic itself was noisy from a barking dog and nearby expressway traffic and it was also a bit dumpy but I can live with those things when everything else is so good. RID: 38909
11/15/12   4     4     4     5   FINALLY..kitchener has a bloody clinic that is reasonable! I'm telling the city about them!!! Give the other clinics a run for their money...looks good on them all. Shame on these vets that charge out control prices for these animals that just need decent care..compare people! RID: 38511
