Dr. Dunlap is the absolute best Vet I have ever taken my dog to. My dog actually loves going to see her. I have had dogs for many years and have been to many Vets but none as good and knowledgeable as Dr. Dunlap.

Dr. Dunlap is great but unfortunately when I really needed someone to recognize the issues with my dog it was her fill in Dr. Millar who I saw. My dog got neutered on July 23 and on August 3rd he was still aggressively licking at the site. I took him in and saw an assistant who prescribed a topical spray. By August 7th he was still aggravated by the site so I took him in again and saw Dr. Millar. She said he had a rash and prescribed creme. By August 13th he was still not well so I took him back and had to see Dr. Millar again. She put him on a nerve drug and an anti anxiety drug. Then the clinic closed for 2 weeks for holiday so when my dog was in alot of distress and the site was very red I took him to another vet. Immediately the vet that saw him said he was having a reaction to the internal sutures. He cleaned out the site and put him on antibiotics for 2 weeks and then did surgery again. This was all so unnecessary and should have been caught by Fleetwood - never again.

I have no problem with Dr. Dunlap, when you finally do get to talk to her she is wonderful. The problem is actually getting to talk to her. I waited with my sick cat for an 2 and a half hours for our last appointment. This to me is unacceptable. The best part? They charged me for an "extended" visit. I have no doubt that Dr. Dunlap is very knowledgeable but the fact that we have to wait so long to see her and it takes weeks for her to contact us with test results just makes it pointless to go to this vet.

Pros: Dr. Dunlap is amazing. She is a true veterinarian who is always updating and educating herself. She practices integrative (holistic and conventional) medicine and is not closed-minded. She is cautious and careful with what she prescribes and will take the time to explain everything to you. She truly cares . She is not like other vets that I have encountered who just seem to be pawns of pet food companies. Also, if it is an emergency she will take you right away and make time for you. Cons: The wait sucks. You will just have to put up with it. And because Dr. Dunlap is the only doctor in the practice she can be slow at getting back to you sometimes too. I also think the rooms could be a bit more sanitary and clean (there were dark brown spots on the physician table and hair all over the ground).

Dr. Dunlap has been treating my family's pets for decades. She is kind and truly cares for my dog. Clinic tends to run behind but I'm okay to wait if it means my dog receives the TLC he needs. Her prices are reasonable and she doesn't push unnecessary treatments/vaccines/tests.

High level of personal care. Both Doctor and staff have a personal interest in your pets health. The clinic offers alternative methods of care which are often more effective and safer. The clinic is exceptionally clean and the exam rooms and after surgery rooms have comforts that other clinics do not. The team will do what ever it takes to provide you with the highest level of care including staying very late if necessary or researching other facilities if a treatment is not offered by them. On some occasions i have had to wait at the clinic, but believe me it well worth it for this personal high level of care. I have been visiting the clinic for over 12 years and I am quite sure the lives of several of my animals have been extended and bettered by the Fleetwood team.

I am very impressed with Dr. Dunlap's office. I came from another vet that had a good reputation in the community, however never explained her prognosis for my cat. She also pushed me into pushing their vet food in the clinic. I came to Dunlap for a 2nd opinion - boy was it a different experience. Yes, I did wait for her to settle up with other patients, but it was well worth it. She spent over an hour with me and my cat to really understand his personality and struggles. Took a full history and examined all the food he was eating. The cost to see her was cheaper than my last vet and I received way more value. She just called me this evening at 7pm with results and advice, even asked me to take photos and send to her for updates. Amazing, kind, curious, wonderful Vet. I wish I met her earlier. HIGHLY recommended!!!! Thank you Dr. Dunlap!!

I was able to get an appointment on very short notice. I found Dr. Dunlop to be personable, open-minded, caring and easy to talk with. I felt included in the decision making process every step of the way. Highly recommend this clinic.

Dr Dunlap is very intelligent and a true expert in her field. This is a great Vet clinic for naturopath services. It is clean and new and the staff and friendly and caring. The client feels more like a home than a vet as it comes with specialized beds in the rooms for your pet. Great place

Dr Dunlap and her staff really care about our pets.I've had phone calls in the evening to check on my 11 year old girl who has a bad back. Dr D. is so knowledgeable but completely willing to listen to my feedback and suggestions. The facility is so clean and the dog " couches" make it so much more comfortable for my dog especially since she gets accupuncture. I totally trust Dr Dunlap with my beloved girl.

WARNING! If you tell Dr. Dunlap you want a second opinion she will sick the SPCA on you!!!I took our rescued Yorkie to Dr. Dunlap and was told the dog needed all his teeth removed for a very high rate. I told her I wanted a 2nd opinion from the SPCA animal hospital. She said the SPCA does not do surgeries. She lied...they do and I made an appt for my dog for Sept 3. For days on end the receptionist harassed me with phone calls asking when I was going to book the surgery with them. When I told them again that I was getting a 2nd opinion they accused me of neglect and animal abuse and threatened they could get my dog removed from my home. An hour later an SPCA constable arrived at my door! The vet reported me! After a visit with me and my dog the constable was very angry that the vet had wasted his time with this false call when he could have been helping a dog who truly was being abused. He asked me to provide a statement. He was going to be paying them a visit and not a nice one...

Dr. Dunlop is well experienced enough and no doubt is very knowledgeable in what she does. The fact that she feels her time is more valuable than her clients will be the reason the clinic goes under. While working for Dr. Dunlop, I cannot tell you how many first time clients would walk out of their appointment as she would have them wait over an hour before she would even acknowledge their presence. She is very disrespectful to her staff; she would scream, swear and freak out on us on a daily basis and have unrealistic expectations of her staff. She would often show up late to start the day and would expect her staff to stay past their shift to make up for time lost time throughout the day. I felt like her rates were nothing special. The fact that she charges extra for owners to be present during a euthanasia is heartless. She promised to cover the costs for courses which is great but in my opinion, there is no amount of free education worth being affiliated with that clinic.

Someone recommended Dr. Dunlap to me when I first moved to the area 9 years ago with my elderly bull terrier. When we had to have her put to sleep she was fabulous. We got another dog and she became ill at 2 years of age. Dr Dunlap did an ultrasound on her at no charge, found out her heart had failed and nothing more could be done. We have other dogs and she has been wonderful with all of them. My one bullmastiff wakes in the night and pees, no warning. She diagnosed her with a weak bladder neck and put her on a herbal medication which has worked wonderfully. She is not quick to do x rays or prescribe expensive treatments and always gives you an estimate. Doesn't push vet food and is open to all diets and feels there is a place for all. She researches and has called me in the evening to ask how my dog is and give me test results. I recommended her to a friend and she diagnosed her dog with thyroid issues which no other vet could find. Dr. D is great. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

Love Dr. Dunlop! She has helped 2 of my elderly large breed dogs remain healthy & active past the age of 12 through her acupuncture & holistic treatments. All 4 of my dogs show none of the signs of "going to the vet" stress like they typically did going to other clinics, & it's pretty clear my dogs are really fond of her. I also appreciate the time she takes to explain things in detail, & have found her fees to be more than reasonable, especially when compared to other vets in the Lower Mainland. The fact that her clinic stays open to 7pm some nights is also extremely helpful to those of us who can't make daytime appointments.

I moved to Surrey about six years ago and tried several different vets for my dogs and wasn't happy til I found Dr. Dunlap. One of my dogs had a serious allergy and her hair was coming out in handfuls. It was awful. After several vets telling me "yup, that's an allergy all right" with NO help at all, I found Dr. Dunlap. She listened. It's so obvious that she cares about animals. She did research, she found a ton of information for me, and eventually she fixed the problem. She calls in the evening with test results, she doesn't just force me to make another appointment. She never charges me for stuff we don't need. She does titers checks on the dogs before vaccinations. I love Dr. Dunlap, she's the best. I would recommend her to anyone who loves their pet and wants the best possible care for them even if you're not rich!

My dog almost died under Dunlap's care. As soon as they found out I had pet insurance it seemed she dragged out the treatment over days (and a couple thousand dollars) until I insisted my dog go to the emergency where I found out she was keto-acidotic! She even charged me $10.00 to print out a pet insurance claim form. I wouldn't go back if the services were free. The staff, however, was very nice. (By the way, my dog recovered with proper treatment and is now in the care of a very good vet). No thanks to Dr. Dunlap.

Dr. Dunlap is an excellent vet. I have taken many animals with complicated medical conditions to her with excellent results. Some she treats medically, some holistically and some with a mix of both. She also really cares about her animal clients.

Now claiming to be "holistic" but they don't titre puppies? and always reach for traditional medicines first...not holistic in my books at all!

I really think that this vet cares. Straight talk no bs. I get her. She is treating my dog with acupuncture therapy. Even my dog is calm there. Takes time with patients, so you have to learn patience. Cathy is great up front . Try it if you like straight talk and value. She is on her game.

Okay, I had to wait a while for my appointment because an emergency case arrived just before my time. But that's why I quit my previous vet, they didn't do emergencies, just steered you to very expensive emergency clinics. My appointment was lengthy and comprehensive. The vet was a great listener. She nailed the diagnosis and her bill was only $56 (vs $1200 for the wrong diagnosis at an emergency clinic.) This is my new vet, but she's in Cloverdale now and kind of hard to find. Well worth the trip/effort.

I love Dr. Dunlap and the only thing that can sometimes be bad is the wait time.. but she takes pets that are in need of emergency care first.. and I would want that for my pet too if needed, so I understand the wait time. Dr. Dunlap came to my house to euthanize my dear cat (of 19yrs) as I didn't want his last minutes to be in anyway stressful, she totally understood, and was extremely compassionate. Over all, I think this facility is the best!

Dr. Denise Dunlap and her vet lab technician have always been very knowledgeable and kind to us. Always willing to spend extra time answering questions about special care or treatment options, and never talking down to me like some vets tend to do. She may come off as blunt to some, but she doesn't sugar-coat anything and try to baby owners. Dr. Dunlap once spent 8 hours straight in emergency surgery with my dog to save his life, he made a full recovery and healed wonderfully. She even took extra time to look into the cause for us, including tests on his bladder stones at no charge to us. She helped us give our elderly diabetic cat the best care possible and made sure we knew the most recent research on diabetes treatments, phoning to keep us updated when she found something new. She really cares about keeping up with advances in the veterinary medicine field. The clinic tends to be very busy, which can often mean longer waits, but Dr. Dunlap always gives the animals thorough care.

They jack up the prices of their medications like I could not believe but won't give me a prescription to fill it elsewhere unless I pay for another visit and a re-test. When they first called to ask how my pet was doing and I said he wasn't completely better they said he would need more medication but when I wanted to get the medication elsewhere for a much lower price they suddenly wanted more $$$$$ to recheck him.

I brought year old dog back into the clinic last Friday. Found a wire fish line stitch from a neutering 5 months previous at this facilty.
The secretary asked if I made an appointment.. no. I just found the stich now. She said I had to come back , I said I wasn't as the problem was the clinic.
Waited 45 mins. before the secretary took the dog to see Dr. would not let me go with him.
She brought him back and said the stitch was removed and he was fine.
The original neuteuring didn't go well, and he had infections. The vet said it was from licking. Really it wasn't from licking, as the milk jug was kept on his head.$$$ medication Then the stitches came apart and it was redone and more medication was given. $$
I checked the dog a few days later since they said the stich was removed and can still feel the top of the stich. Like they just cut it off flush with his skin. I sent this letter to them basically with NO REPLY. My other dog needs spaying but I won't go here

I can't beleive the staff turn over at this place. My dog was in there weekly for a year and there was a new girl every other week. I was in there one day and the way she was yelling at her staff was disgraceful. I haven't been back since. I just can't respect someone who treats people that way. As for the care of my dog...well he's dead.

Fabulous Doctor. We've had her for years as our vet through both dogs. Takes the time to talk to you and tell what is going on. When our first dog was so sick during his last days, she took him home with her. I can't say enough how wonderful she is with the animals and the owners.

Dr.Dunlap is a wonderful vet. She is easy to talk to, and she tells you what she is going to do to help your pet and what is more important, why she is doing it. You will not find anyone like her. The staff there are friendly, just good people. I switched from my previous vet to this one and what a differnce! I'm just kicking myself for not finding her sooner to be my pet's vet.
