1/8/21   1     1     1     1   Brought my Chorkie to this clinic to get a shot for his allergies. When the receptionist gave me the price, I was a little shocked because he's much more expensive than other clinics. When the vet heard I wasn't happy with the price, he instructed his girl to tell me to go somewhere else since I'm not happy. I couldn't believe it. His prices for treats I buy for my dog are $4 more expensive than anywhere else. He never smiles, he's not friendly, and I had a very hard time understanding him. I did find another vet who is charging me $30 less than what his clinic charges. RID: 69741
Click to report rating    8/13/20   5     5     5     5   Always great and friendly people.Would totally recommend going to this vet. They are very helpful, supportive and compassionate with our pets. They also good with explaining about very complicated situations, price etc. His PRICES are reasonable and he takes walk-ins with long hours including Saturdays/SUNDAYS. Best of all if your pet is staying in his hospital for the night, he stays with it! This was most reassuring to us.You can tell they do this for the love of animals, not for the money! RID: 69461
Click to report rating    5/3/20   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my dog to Bayview Pet Services for 5 years and have always been extremely please with the service and the treatment of Buddy. I have been to other vets for previous pets but Bayview pet services is the best! RID: 69214
Click to report rating    10/1/19   5     4     4     4   Front staff is very friendly, Dr. is very knowledgeable and very direct. He is quick with his comments yet thorough with his exam. His accent is very thick, however he had no problem repeating himself or explaining things to me again. His prices are fair and his wait times are low. Solo the puppy is grateful for helping her with her puppy problems. RID: 68596
Click to report rating    11/18/18   5     5     5     5   very pleased with the excellent service provided by Dr. Dhillon and the team. Dental care required for our senior cat and they were able to respond quickly and provide excellent care. I highly recommend. RID: 67023
Click to report rating    5/23/18   5     5     5     5   they saved our beloved cat. dr. dhillon and megan are very helpful. we love taking our pets here RID: 66191
Click to report rating    11/2/17   5     5     5     5   We have a rescue Sharpei with lots of different problems. After making Dr. Dhillon our regular vet, we have found taking care of and managing these problems has become a lot easier. He is always aware of how uncomfortable our dog is in vet offices and accommodates her every time. Fantastic hours as well, which meant a lot because we all have busy lives. As an owner I am a pretty tough advocate for my animal and he genuinely seems like he cares for my dog; which is what I really respect. His staff is always caring and friendly too. I would (and have) recommend his practice to anyone without worry that they will be well taken care of. RID: 64982
Click to report rating    5/14/17   1     1     1     1   I previously called and inquired about a test for PanLeuk for a young kitten. My bf brought in a fresh stool sample but they said it was "tainted from cat litter" even though my other vet would've been able to test the sample as it was without issue. Anyways, the receptionist calls me back and says I need to bring the kitten in so they can get a sample directly, and I quote "WITH A Q-TIP". I said OK, scheduled a time and then brought him in. When I get there, the vet is dismissive and rude. When doing the procedure. HE SHOVES AN UNLUBRICATED SYRINGE UP THE KITTENS RECTUM ABOUT TWO INCHES AND PULLS BACK THE PLUNGER SEVERAL TIMES. I was in absolute shock. Seeing this I voiced my concern and this is when he became absolutely rude, disrespectful, belittling and abrasive. I refused to let him continue in that manner showing absolutely no regard for the tiny patient or myself. Rudest, most despicable vet I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I would not take a dead animal there. RID: 63629

6/23/16   1     1     1     1   Our Boston Terrier has mast cell tumors which were operated by Davisville Park Animal Hospital two (2) years ago. The surgery was successful. On June 19, 2016 our dog started shaking uncontrollably. I brought him to Bayview Pet Services and the doctor of Indian nationality (sorry don't know his name) looked him over and advised it was due to the mast cell tumor with an ulcer reaction. I was skeptical only because the doctor went with my history explanation. I went home and the dog was still shaking. On Monday, I called our original veterinarian that completed the surgery and explained the symptoms. He immediately diagnosed the problem over the PHONE without seeing the dog advising it has nothing to do with the cancer but a back and/or neck issue. I drove the 40 minutes back to Toronto to have Dr. Avery at Davisville Park look him over and sure enough it was his neck! The dog would not lift his neck when prompted. Avoid this clinic at all cost as your dog may suffer. RID: 60915

1/27/16   5     5     5     5   These doctors are both very good. I have been dealing with them for five years. They don't overprescribe drugs. Their culture is different so you have to be patient. Don't expect fluffy and phony. They are honest and they don't get overly excitable about things. Take the time to listen to them and be patient. They are honest and not salesmen, like other vets I have been to. My dog was bitten by a lyme-disease tick. I was quite panicky and Dr. Dhillon was very calm about it and treated our Lucy. She's alive today because of him. Also the spaying went very well. No issues whatsoever and very nice small incision with no repercussions. They're very hard-working and well-educated. Look at the diplomas on the wall. I've talked to them at length about California, where they went to school. To come from their country and attend University in California with their language barriers is amazing! I hope the negative comments don't impact their practice. They are very fair in their pricing.  2/16/15   1     3     3     2   On July 12 , 2013 our dog Ingrid was taken to Dr.Jogar for spay surgery. She ended up with severe third-degree burns on her body appearing in one week after surgery. We visited Dr. Jogar on July 20, 2013 and he stated that it was some kind of skin disease. So we went to another hospital to get a second opinion. They determined that Ingrid was severely burned by a heating pad during a surgery. We visited Dr. Jogar again providing him with a second opinion. Only then he recognized that our dog was burned during the surgery. If I could upload the pictures you could see how beautiful Ingrid was before and what Dr. Jogar did to her. She lost 50% of her skin. She is not even three years old and who knows what problems with her skin will come in the future. We opened the case with Complaints Committee for the investigation. Click to report rating    12/23/14   5     4     3     5   I needed an affordable, knowledgeable vet to neuter my 2.5yr old doberman, who had an undescended testicle (required more involved surgery). After shopping around, I was referred to Bayview Pet Services by a friend. I don't have enough space here to fully describe my experience, but I recommend this clinic and Dr. Dhillon. I only dealt with Dr. Dhillon, who was very helpful and happy to answer all my questions as best he could. I do not believe he has a knowledge issue, per other reviews; I believe he sometimes finds it difficult to communicate due to language limitations. He performed an excellent, trickier-than-expected surgery and let us watch from outside the room (we went late at night, not busy). The clinic is not pretty, but everything is there and he took all cleanliness precautions needed. At first he was breed-biased (e.g. doberman=bite), but comes from common experience in India. He warmed up quickly. If you're patient re: English, I recommend this clinic and vet. RID: 55150
Click to report rating    12/12/14   4     4     4     4   I can attest to the competency and compassion of Dr. Dhillon and his staff, not only of our beloved 'Boing', but us also. I have recommended this clinic to others and they have agreed with me. Thank You. RID: 55001
Click to report rating    12/7/14   5     5     5     5   Dr Jogar and Dr Dhillon both see our animals. All 6 of them. The first time I ever brought a pet to B.P.S my cat was in a strange life threatening pancreatic/liver crisis. Dr Jogar treated him. He required x-rays, blood work and an overnight stay. Dr Jogar has never seen anything quite like it in his practice so he took additional XRays at no cost to me out of his own curiosity and to get a second opinion from a few colleagues and a specialist. (Again no cost to me) At the beginning of my visit I had made him aware I didn't have the funds available right away to pay for his entire treatment but I had some and would be able to atleast pay that. He said and I quote "let's save your cat first and worry about that once we know he's O.K". Tonight my dog needed pain meds for Panosteitis, dr Dhillon was on, I left the clinic with meds and the check up fee waived. Dr Jogar and dr Dhillon are truly in veterinary medicine for the love of veterinary medicine & the animals <3 I love BPS! RID: 54918
10/30/14   1     1     4     1   Took my pet to this clinic after hours. There was only one person working and a loud tv was blaring in the back. The rooms were not very clean and a dirty towel was placed on the examining table before my pet was looked at. RID: 54358
Click to report rating    9/17/14   1     3     3     2   As someone who used to work as a vet tech, this clinic scares me. First off there is no trained assistant or technician-who helps out during surgery? Almost sure that it is a requirement of the OVMA. The cleanliness and hygiene is sketchy-I've seen thermometers simply rinsed under tap water-not enough to disinfect from parasites that infested the animal prior to and tables with blood cleaned with a paper towel and water. One incident involved Towels on the table that had been used on a kitten with diarrhea. I had my pretty scoff that towel. The fact that they don't know common breeds or estimated ages of pets and wait for me to guess is also skeptical. They boast about their prices..where I used to work I considered on the higher end of the scale but they were actually quite comparable if not slightly cheaper than this place and the care pets got there was incomparable. I feel bad for those who think they get their money's worth here. RID: 53593
Click to report rating    9/3/14   5     4     5     5   Dr. Jogar is amazing, he has a passion for his practice. We have been seeing him for over 2 years with our 13 year old golden retriever. Went to many vets before that, they seem to be more business minded than physicians. My dog actually walks into his clinic happily, had to coax her to walk into other clinics before. Thank you Dr. Jogar for the TLC you are giving my senior dog. RID: 53374
Click to report rating    4/17/14   5     4     5     4   We drove 45min out of area, to get to this clinic on a recommendation from a friend who takes his cat here. Our own cat, Poobert, suddenly deteriorated over the span of a couple of days. We met with Dr. Jogar who was kind enough to promptly see walk-in patients, on a Saturday morning. He advised us that he would be able to run more tests and keep Poobert overnight, however, given his age and stage of liver failure, the humane option would be to euthanize. We didn't want his last moments spent in a strange place being poked with needles and taking xrays. Dr. Jogar was nice enough to give us some privacy while we took in the news and said our goodbyes. Poobert was handled with a lot of gentleness and we were able to be with him when he passed. We chose to bury him and Dr. Jogar handled Poobert's body with a lot of gentleness and care as he put him back in the crate. In spite of the sadness, this was the only positive and honest experience I've ever had with a vet. RID: 51075
4/5/14   5     5     5     5   Used both Dillon and Jogar...I prefer Jogar. Dillon has a way about him but I would still trust either of them. I have used vets that weren't rude...you know the friendly "you love your vet type" but at the end of the day I know this clinic will do the very best for my pets! Dr Jogar never trys to soak you for unnecessary testing/surgery/meds. He saved two of my dogs lives when another vet almost killed one of them. This is were I will always take my pets. RID: 50894
Click to report rating    3/30/14   5     5     5     5   I had to take my dog in to get stitches for a cut on his neck. Dr.Dhillon was very professional and was very good to my dog. For a 24 hr emergency vet, this vet clinic is reasonably priced with great care. RID: 50769
Click to report rating    1/17/14   1     2     4     3   I have been going to this veterinary as my primary vet ever since my dog was a puppy. They've been more or less friendly and their prices are more or less reasonable, however, the more visits we've made the ruder and money hungry they've become. Dr. Jogar seems to have been the more approachable vet, however, my experience with Dr. Dhillion was unbelievable. He did not answer any of my questions, rather, he'd scowl me when I had questioned him, injected my dog with way too many tranquilizers and had barely examined my dog. I paid my fees but my dog's situation remains unknown. I will not be going back from now on, the idea of 24/7 is great, however the service is terrible and they force services that your pet does not need. I would not recommend this veterinary to anyone. I feel like I'm putting my dog at risk whenever I am there. They're not good with pets, moreover, they seemed to be more frightened. RID: 49319
11/26/13   5     5     5     5   We cannot say enough about Dr. Jogar. Our cat needed a rare surgery that has a high risk severe complications and we are thrilled to say the surgery was a great success with no complications. Dr. Jogar reacted quickly and professionally to get the best possible care for our cat by calling in a specialist. He was very patient with us and our cat and thoroughly answered all our questions and concerns. Our cat was also recovering poorly from a previous surgery performed(incompetently) by a different clinic and Dr. Jogar was kind enough to treat that as well. What the other clinic could not do in 5 weeks of treatment, Dr. Jogar did in one week - successfully healed the first surgery site. 10 days after Dr. Jogar's surgery our cat was running and playing with his brother as if he had never been sick at all. The cost of surgery as well was minimal. I'm sure after he paid the specialist, there couldn't have been much left for him. This practice is truy there because of their love for animals RID: 48455
Click to report rating    10/12/13   5     5     5     5   We took out hound to the clinic at 9pm on a Sunday night and saw Dr. Jogar. He was incredible, friendly, concise and very calming. Rex (our hound) really liked him and he was quick & confident with his treatment. One thing that bugs me at the emergency clinic is they take the pet into the back and you can not see what they are doing, that is not the case with this clinic. We will be taking Rex back for a recheck and eventually surgery. RID: 47587
Click to report rating    8/16/13   5     5     5     5   We went in with our almost 13 year old pitbull who had chronic ear infections and had been treated by another vet. She ended up with vestibular disease (very scary looking). Dr. Jogar was at the clinic at 9pm and took the time to explain, examine and care for our dog. He was VERY informative and honest. He said there were various meds we could try but that really, some of them won't be very useful for our dogs particular situation and recommended the best course if action. He took time with us and with our dog. He recommended treatment options which in the end we were fully satisfied with the choices. Not only did he recommend a course if action that worked well for us and our dog, and showed much care and kindness, but he also charged half the price of our old vet! We will definitely be using Dr. Jogar from now on for all our pets. What a wonderful experience for such a stressful time! His staff were also quite pleasant. I'm so glad we were referred to them by another client. Thanks! RID: 46324
Click to report rating    5/5/13   5     5     4     5   I have had the opposite experience that most have seemed to have with Dr Dhillon. He was very supportive and helpful when I lost my beloved dog, including sending me a card. I have found him to be both helpful and understanding and always is upfront with what fees I will have to pay. I like him so much that I now use him as my full time vet. I had the opposite experience with Dr Jugart. I did not find him very helpful. RID: 42287
Click to report rating    4/23/13   5     5     5     5   We had a couple of isolated experiences with this clinic & both times we were completely satisfied with the professional & friendly services provided from the time we walked through their doors. We were really pleased with their gentle approach. RID: 41988
Click to report rating    1/13/13   5     5     5     5   We had Dr. Dhillon today. We found him frank, honest and very helpful during a difficult time. Thank you Dr. Dhillon! RID: 39600
Click to report rating    12/13/12   5     4     5     5   Had to bring my Shih tzu here in emergency case and was very confused about what was going on with him. I have been to another vet but they couldn't schedule me in. Now I'm glad they couldn't because I have discovered an amazing Doctor. Dr.Jugart is AMAZING. To be honest I was very iffy about going there but he tells you the truth, knows how to speak in a claim and reassuring voice and is very positive. His patience is amazing and he is very very helpful, he isn't trying to get money out of you he is honestly trying to help. I recommend if you do go here to see Dr.Jugart and not the other doctor. I haven't read very good reviews on him and just from what I saw of him wasn't great. I got there at an odd time for him, he was an hour away from coming off his shift and switching with Dr.Jugart so he told he didn't want to start process on my dog bc it would take too long for him. Bad customer service, anyways I'm glad he didnt start anything and I did wait the hour for Dr.Jugart. Great pla RID: 39057
Click to report rating    11/19/12   5     5     5     5   I saw the previous post and had to write. I have used this clinic many times. Thou i have always gone when Dr. Jugart was there...not Dr. Dhilon. Dr. Jugart is amazing. I had my cat at my regular vet for tests...400 dollars later at my regular vet they said to go to an after hours vet for 24hr IV...my reg vet still didn't know what the problem was with my cat. Went to Bayview Pet Ser. He suggested an xray (they have digital which is awesome, my reg vet never did xray)...it was very reasonalbly priced. So we did one. Right away he saw the problem on the xray. Right away he knew what IV and antibiotics to give her. She was so much better the next day. This practice is awesome and a godsend to newmarket. Sorry about other posters experience with Dr Dhillon. Unfortunately he painted a bad picture for the practice...but Dr Jugarat is amazing! RID: 38590
Click to report rating    9/23/12   1     2     2     2   Dr Dhillon DVM was extremely rude when I asked about an urgent situation with my puppy. He was evasive in his answers and did not know the answer to simple questions. He then was reluctant to give a general price and tries to lure you in for the big$60 look fee then add on of course since you are in $60 deep. He then says from such a routine procedure, no guarantee and without even any conversation tells me to go to emergency clinic (not emergency) then he of course will take my money to examine my puppy. I really don't think this vet knows what he is doing! He is neither people friendly nor animal friendly. Perhaps he should practice out in the wild! RID: 37389
