I had to come to this vet this weekend for an emergency visit due to complications that came up sunday night after a urinary tract blockage and surgery that took place at the Loch Lomond Veterinary Hospital last week.
This vet took my call in the dead middle of the night without coming across as inconvenienced or bothered for even a single second, and delivered the utmost care, patience and a balance of being frank and direct, but also careful and not abrasive. They have taken care of my baby boy since last night and it sounds like he is doing okay now, and they detail that they have given me about what they found, why this may have happened and what the plan will be gives me great confidence that he is in very good hands.
I also have to mention that they actively avoided gouging me as much as possible with costs, which I am so grateful for.
Cant overstate my happiness enough.

I now drive my dogs to the next town, will never go back. The big woman vet didn't listen to a word I said, only to criticize that it was all due to my puppy being overweight well doc, take a look at yourself in the mirror, and for peters sake, brush your teeth! Your breath smells worse than a dogs breath !

I take all 3 of my dogs to Dr McGowan and Dr Malone as well as my cats, rats and my previous pets. They saved my Labs life by repairing both her knees and she only had it done once and lived to be almost 13yrs old, other vets told me she had to go to PEI. When my****zu developed Hemolytic Anemia and I had to take him to a different vet for emergency care and was told he should go to Moncton for 24 hr care, I called for a 2nd oppinion, both doctors were busy, Dr Mcgowan was on vacation and out of the office, it was Friday late afternoon and Dr McGowan called me back within a couple hours and was happy to discuss it and give her recommendations. My Lhasa hurt his back and became paralyzed on a Sunday and Dr McGowan was able to meet us at the office and was very helpful. They saved my doberman when he was dying of kidney failure as a pup, I was in Florida they called me daily in to give updates. They are reasonable in their approach and costs. Love Them!

I also had a terrible experience with this clinic. Have been going there for a few years and have spent thousands of dollars because they don't have a clue what they're doing. Then when my dog was really sick they were "too busy" to see her. I strongly recommend to stay far away from this place if you love your pet.

TERRIBLE experience!! I spend $600 on different tests and never got to see the vet even after asking several times. I was told by the vet tech that I would be contacted with the results but that I couldn't see the vet. NOT RECOMMENDED.
