I have been taking my great dane and multiple cats to Dr. Haves long before he opened his own clinic. He has saved my cats life multiple times (he liked to eat inorganic items) and Dr. Haves has always taken great care of my sensitive dane. Dr. Haves spends the time to listen to our concerns. The staff are always friendly and helpful, I truly feel like Dr. Haves is part of our extended family. From my experience, Dr. Haves considers the financial impacts and offers multiple options to pet owners on a budget, when there are different treatment options available. I would highly recommend Dr. Haves and the staff at Doon Animal hospital to anyone looking for a caring veterinarian for their pet.

Dr. Haves made a poor impression. We needed care for our puppy as he was listless and not eating.Dr. Haves didn't introduce himself or show any compassion. He examined our puppy and said that he would "be back with a quote". When he returned and my son asked him if our dog would be ok, Dr. Haves responded crassly, "Well, I can't answer that." His suggested method of treatment was aggressive, including intravenous emergency care, bloodwork, and tests for parvo(even though I had papers from our puppy's breeder's vet indicating vaccination for parvo). Our puppy's low temperature and drinking were not symptomatic of parvo.When I mentioned this, he was condescending and said that dogs "don't always have a fever with parvo". I believed that our puppy needed hydration, but I found the other things listed on his itemized $600 quote were excessive.Essentially, I didn't feel comfortable with him: his cold demeanor, fatalistic approach, and excessive quote made me feel uneasy. I didn't trust him.

This is an expensive clinic, and I do not have much (if any) confidence in the vet. The assistant is very nice and helpful, and the facility is very clean and accommodating for appointments. The vet was very enthusiastic about his work, and initially seemed to be very concerned for the well-being of my pet, but I left feeling guilty about my choices, paying a huge bill for unnecessary tests that I had been pressured into.

I would give this Vet clinic a higher rating if it were even possible!! I have been with Doon animal and Dr. Haves for over three years. He is efinately the most caring veterinarian I have ever met. He does not charge for things that are not necessary. They are more than happy to answer your concerns over the phone. My dog had eaten a rock last year and Dr. Haves saved his life. He healed very quick and we were provided with nothing but the absolute best care. We had a more than reasonable bill as with anytime that we have visited his office. All of the staff are knowledgable and caring. They are excellent at getting you in for an appointment as soon as possible. Best vet clinic I have ever been to.

I can't say enough about Doon Animal Hospital. Chris and his team have become like an extended family and give us peace of mind. We have an older dog and she suffers from severe seasonal allergies. Chris has worked with us to change her diet and help keep her healthy and keep the allergies under control. I know they are only a phone call away. I was pleasantly shocked when Saucey needed some surgery that his prices were less than half of other clinics that I had quote on the job and but they cleaned her teeth at the same time. I am in there on a regular basis picking up food and treats for my dog. The clinic is always clean, the staff is kind and compassionate. I believe it's important to find a vet that you trust and is there because they truly care about the well being of your family member(s) and I can say with confidence - that Doon Animal Hospital cares.

It is nice to have a veterinary clinic in our doon neighbourhood..Dr Haves is very nice and punctual..techs are wonderful and very friendly! I would recommend them!

The staff is friendly and office is clean, fairly new clinic. They are expensive though. Found with treating my cat and dog, wanted to run numerous tests, just to rule out possibilities. Got the impression was doing the tests for the $$, not for if it's really needed ie. it would be nice to have on file as comparission. Also when animal was sick, tried to make you feel guilty for what decided on.
