Have phoned there to make an appointment and been hung up on by staff. I used to take my animals there and because my animals hadnt been there in a few years the dropped as clients. The cost are horrible i have been driving to prince rupert to the vet as costs are atleast half.

My two cats and two dogs see Dr. Farkvam. We (including my pets) are always treated with respect, love and care by all staff. Farkvam and his staff are the best in the north. Period.

We have all 3 of our dogs under Dr. Farkvam care and find him excellent. He may limit his clientele so they all get the best of care he can give. He even phoned every morning for a week to check on one of our dogs who had been very ill. He helped us get through a rough time and have a positive outlook!

Bad businness practice. Speak your mind and get banned for life, change owners of a pet formally who was a client - loose service, not taking new animals - even to euthanize them, no emergency hours. Sad, sad, practice.

Best vet in the north by far! It's men like dr Farkvam which give people something to aspire to. He goes out of his way to help and is really dedicated and I don't think a lot of people see that and appreciate it. Most people think that he should drop everything for them and that they shouldn't have to pay a dime for it but his services are worth it you won't get that kind of care anywhere. What a great man and great addition to the community!

This vet chose not to see my parents when our dog was very sick bc of an issue with a prior appointment which may have slightly inconvenienced them. They told my parents that the vet was not available and wasn't sure when he would be. Our beloved dog passed away the following day in a lot of pain. We are all in quite a bit of shock that the vet would hold a small inconvenience against us and decided he was too busy to help.

I love the veterinarian there but the staff leaves something to be desired. I wish all veterinarians were as dedicated as Dr. Farkvam. I found there receptionist to be extremely rude and not as educated as expected. There technician I did find to be extremely helpful and understanding.

AMAZING!! Really cares about the animals and you know it in the way he treats your animal and talks to you. He takes the time to talk to you about your concerns with your pet...he explains to you exactly what is going on with your pet and gives you the facts. His staff is great as well. Very frienly and great with your pets.
