I went to the clinic for Rabies shot. I brought my dog's papers and it was clear that last Rabies shot was made in November 2016. I have a small chihuahua. They keep me waiting in a front desk about 20 minutes. The dog was very nervous, screaming and breath deeply. Nobody pay attention on me. Finally I was invited into the doctor office where they keep me waiting another 10 - 15 minutes. the doctor and her assistant tried to figure out how to make shots for the nervous dog. They brought the towel and asked me to cover the dog. The doctor did the shot and said that I have to come in a week. I asked why? She said for Rabies. She did the whole bunch of shots but not the Rabies I asked. She did not even asked, did not look at the papers. I thought this is her fist day because she was not confident and does not know what to do with the dog. I came in a week. They promised to remind me but never did. I was late in 5 minutes and they refused to take me. Very poor customer service.

Horrible Place. Terrible service. If you care for your pet do them a favor and take them elsewhere. The reception staff are sarcastic and snap at the customers. They have no care or concern for emergency situations, its really just about the money for them. They really don't care about the animals or their customers.

My pets love coming here, My cat enjoys climbing on the cat tower in the cat room. The staff is always friendly and treat my pets as if they were their own. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. Lizotte is a great vet: super knowledgeable regarding alternate therapies and really caring. She is a star and I have only positive regard for her.
The problem with Elmwood Veterinary Hospital is the reception staff. I cannot stress enough how unbelievably rude and uncaring they are. My dog was recently diagnosed with Lyme Disease and I researched all of the vets in New Brunswick to find the best one - and I still believe I did! Like I said, Dr. Lizotte is beyond reproach. So I drove 200km to Elmwood, and wow! How rude could people be? The reception staff did everything possible to be as unhelpful as they possibly could be. A few days later, I telephoned them for results of my dog's lab results and they basically informed me that I did not have any right to this information. I had to call several times to beg for this information. They then agreed to supply the info but I would have to drop by to pick it up. I live 200 km away! It's a four-hour round trip. They would not even

Just took my dog to this clinic. I found the staff to be rude and uneducated. Actually beyond rude. Vet seemed rushed and not interested in symptoms. Gave me a prescription. I checked with my pharmacy and it is 50% less there. This is absurd. They have the cheapest rates but I paid a large bill for having a vet tell me what I already knew. Never again..they are the cheapest for a reason!!!!

I have been bringing pets here for over 12 years. I have never ever felt rushed and the staff has been very friendly. I recently brought my dogs in for their rabies booster and the vet gave them a complete physical at no extra charge.

Not sure why some of the people that rated this hospital had a bad experience but we have been going to this same clinic since 2002 and have yet to have a bad experience. The people working the front desk are great and so are the Doctors. Never ever had a problem at this clinic. We take our girls Baby and April to Dr. Kim Mallet and she is very good with them and is never in a hurry to get either of them out the door.

I have always had awesome service at the Elmwood Vet Hosp. I brought one of my cats to get neutered and declawed and my dog to get neutered and all his shots. I also recently brought my other cat to be treated for asthma. Tho we waited a long time in the room on this visit, the vet apologized twice and did an awesome job disgnosing and din't charge me for un-necessary tests. I have always had great service here and these other comments seem strange to me, but everyone has different experiences!

We have been going to this clinic for many years, but no more! In August I brought my dog there after she broke her leg in a freak accident. I had to wait for 1hour in the wait room, receptionists were ignorant and rude. Doctors were incompetent. My dog ended up dying from either a "overdose" or chocked post op cause they neglected her. Met with the owner but she didn't really care. I have yet to get a response from her. Truly disgusting care. They should be ashamed of themselves! Dr Kim Maillet is the exception here. She is awesome. If she worked anywhere else I would happily follow her!

Dre Kim Maillet is the best vet there is.She is very competent and has a lot of compassionate for the pets.She takes the time to make your pet at ease...no rushing.I recommend her to all my friend and family.

I would never step foot through their doors again! Took my border Collie there to get spayed. They kept her overnight as they told me it was procedure because she was older (3 years) and that there is always a vet tech. on site to watch them.so when i got there the next day imagine my surprise when my fur baby came RUNNING to me and she was COVERED in POOP! Her own feces all over her legs, tail and belly.....she pooped in her cage and slept in it!!!! the vet tried to play it off as a little accident! i was enraged!! There was maybe 3 or 4 people in the waiting room and once they heard me yelling what happened and what I thought they ALL cleared out!! NO ONE take your little furries here please! They're the cheapest in town.. AND THERE'S A REASON FOR IT!!

Amazing clinic!! Been going there for over 10 years and no other clinic comes even close. Have tried a few others and was extremely disappointed. Every time I go, the vets know exactly what they're talking about, they get to the point, always find the problem and make sure you know what to do about it. I do find it a little expensive but for that quality of a clinic, it's worth it. The only real negative is the secretaries can be kinda rude sometimes.

My Weim was hit by a car and the vet I usually deal with was over booked, so the people who had brought my dog in was asked to go ehre. They would not let me see my dog, they had been doing x-rays. They had already been doing xrays for 30-40 mins before I arrived. I had 5 minutes to see my dog before she died. If she was that far gone why bother with xrays? On top of it all the vet was VERY insensitive. In order to "check for resposiveness" He POKED her in her eye, repeatedly as she was dying. He poked it hard enough that I could see the finger prints on her eye ball. When I called a few days later to complain about the service I spoke to the receptionist, I told her about the experience and all she could say was that it was "normal". I asked other vets and assistants.. this is not NORMAL!!! It was the worst experience I have ever had when going to a vet. I will NEVER go back.

this is a very good hosiptal to take your pets to, the staff is great and the vets are wonderful, i bring my pets there for years, i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great vet clinic

I found myself waiting for over an hour and a half and missing dinner with my family. The front staff were kind and apologetic about the delay. When I finally saw the vet she hardly listened to my recount of my cats symptoms. She sped through the exam and quickly prescribed some antibiotics and left before I could ask about side effects. I ended up going to another vet to get a 2nd opinion and will soon transfer there!

Dr Dottie Arsenault was incompitent not friendly at didnt explain anything threw the family out, she wasent timely enough in treating the injurys and as a result our dog died

I love Dr Maillet and Dr Arseneault, They are very knowledgeable and take the time to talk to you and explain in very detailed manner. I have 4 dogs and enjoy their multi pet discount. I usually get an appointment fairly quickly and they offer "drop off service" for your pet when he has a daytime appointment. For example, drop off your pet in the am, go to work and pick up your pet at the end of day. Vey accomodating. I love Elmwood vetenarian Hospital.

Dr. Arsenault is the best; competent and compassionate. The vet techs and front desk staff are great too, but some of the other vets do not seem as caring as one would like to see.
