Prince George Veterinary Clinic charges 2.5 times more for a burial or cremation than ANY of the other clinics in Prince George, BC. Why is that???

We have been taking our animals to this vet for over 20 years. Have never had a problem with any of the staff. Great vets and they explain everything they are doing. I feel my pets are receiving quality care.

Very clean facility. Front staff are very helpful. The techs take the time to explain every detail. I have had no problems with taking my four little dogs to this clinic for over eight years.

This clinic by their own admission are "too busy" to be attentive to the animals that they treat and/or are in their care. We lost our dog due to lack of attention to her care while in for a non invasive procedure. We as owners were never informed of her deteriorating condition as they were too busy too call. This clinic does not deserve the trust of any pet owner!! They basically killed our pet. Our pet did not deserve this "end of life" experience, which has totally devastated us. Beware of this clinic!!!

you cant just post some ratings and not others. especially when there is nothing wrong with the rating. my dog had cancer and was misdiagnosed and the public has a right to know. rating was no worse than any others I have reported you and if you don't post my rating again something will be done about it

Don't get me wrong, it's a great vet, but the staff are always grumpy. They take it out on you and your wallet, and only a few of the staff smile. I got my kittens vaccinated and it took them two hours to vaccinate and microchip little kitties. Very clean, well organized, just difficult to get into and deal with.

They have no idea what they are doing, they told me that they need a biopsy from the bone. I took my dog to another vet that used to work there and he told me right away what the problem was, An he was RIGHT. Never again that place. They have new vets and none of the good ones

I had a very ill cat (22 years old) He needed to be put to sleep. This vet hospital wanted to charge me and extra$80 to be in the room with him. It needed to be done and I will not allow my animals to be alone and scared in the end so I would have paid the extra. They refered to my still living cat as a body over the phone. As I was driving to the clinic they called me back and had apparently double booked me and wanted me to go in the next day. I called another vet, got in and had the procedure done at 1/2 the cost, got to be with the old fella and had an an exam done. He had renal failure that PG Vet failed to diagnose 3 days early during a blood test. Had the results sent to the new Vet he confirmed PG Vet failed to make the diagnosis and any 1st year student should have realized. Never going back

Haven't had a bad experience here. Loved Dr. Bonafine, who has gone out on his own. Joan is an angel. Haven't had an issue with any vets here. Just wish they were closer to my home.

This used to be my dogs clinic. However, after they mismanaged my dogs illness by overdosing him on a steroid I wouldn't let these people anywhere near one of my animals again. Very expensive, don't return your phone calls and are very defensive when you ask questions or ask for explanation. Also, extremely expensive. I like my dog's new clinic much more and they are a lot more reasonable (Murdoch's). Sadly, this knowledge came to late after for my other dog that died, before his time we feel do to a bad reaction to the high dosage of steroids.

Love this clinic! I have been with them for many years with several dogs and a cat. Compassionate, caring and very respectful of quality of life for my furry friends. Have seen several of the vets and I like them all. Front staff are wonderful.

Dr. Bonafine is very kind & caring, with an exceptionally respectful nature. He performs with a very high degree of professionalism, projecting a genuine heartfelt compassion toward my pets. Most of the staff are helpful & caring, with special notification given to "Joan", she provides quality advice, patience, and compassion. These qualities are very rare in todays society, however my experiences with these two professionals has instilled a very proud gratitude that enhances the enjoyment of everyday life, with all our pets. Many Thanks to the whole team at PG VET.

The terms this vet chose to use when explaining my dogs condition were completely inappropriate. I work in the health care field (which I did not mention) so I understood what he was telling me, but I know prior to my training the words he used would have put me into even more of a panic than I already was, due to my dogs sick condition. This Vet was more concerned about the fact my dog had behavioural issues than my dogs actual medical condition. My dog is actually still a puppy, and we are going to training school. He didn't do anything and gave me the option to go home and think about my dogs behavior issues before spending any money on him. Overall I am not impressed...I wouldn't bring my goldfish back to this man.

Overall, most of the vets and animal techs are knowledgeable and excellent to work with. Unfortunately, often short of vets, so the wait time to get in for an appointment can be very long. They are, however, usually accomodating if you have an emergency.
