We would not recommend VEC: We have now had two bad experiences with them with two different dogs. One 6 years ago where our dog was hit by a car, we rushed him there with his left front and back legs broken. We told them initially just as we did this time, that money is an issue and we would need a cost summery to proceed. Well first of all we are happy with the surgery aspect of his stay however they kept telling us that he was throwing up...and when he was released they didn't mention how bad...after 5000 to fix his legs they sent him home to recover knowing he was gettin sick constantly(have their medical transcript for verification) we brought him back and then they said his throat from being hit by a car was narrowed...literally could not swallow water...so they charged the first amount to fix the dog and ignored his symptoms even though they were documented...he was starving to death...their solution was sending him to another surgeon at around 3/4000. to fix his throat.
