I have never used Dr Selmer because my dealings with him on the phone have been so poor. I have not been to the family store in years after his nastiness on the phone.

Dr. Selmer is not just an amazing veterinarian, he is a true healer. He cares about the health of every individual patient, and seeks to find the root of the issue rather than simply covering up the symptoms with a quick fix. He spends more time with his clients and patients than any other veterinarian I've ever been to. He took the time to explain everything in depth and go over all the treatment options with me. He is well rounded, offering both western and eastern medical treatments based on the individual needs of the pet. Dr. Selmer impressed me with his integrity. He seeks to heal the whole animal, body, mind and soul, and does so by practicing ethical medicine and loving each animal as though it were his own. Dr. Selmer is truly in a league of his own.

My animals are a huge part of my life, therefore Dr. Selmer is too. His identity quote as, 'Your other family doctor' could not be more spot on. He truly cares not only about my animals and yours, but he cares deeply about us as owners, and about the integrity of his work. As a professional who is so intelligent, and presents himself so well, I truly believe he is once of the smartest individuals I have ever known. Dr. Selmer does not practice elective medicine, and to me, there is nothing more moral coming from a practicing medical doctor. He chooses to do only the necessary work on patients to obtain ideal results. Not only have I had personal, transformational results with my own animals through Dr. Selmer's devotional work, but I have heard remarkable stories of others' animals going through the same transformations; overcoming disease through nutrition, accupuncture, and preventative care. Dr. Selmer is nothing but a passionate and moral vet. I would recommend no one else.

He truly cares about his patients and you, the owner. If we need to come to Dr. Selmer with a medical issue he is not quick to run unnecessary test and does not send us off with all kinds of pills that have a ton of side affects. His first priority is not to put the animals under any added stress then what is necessary. He is ALWAYS expanding his knowledge, reading articles, taking classes (acupuncture) to help improve the quality of his patients. He has so much passion for what he does & it is evident every time we see him. He puts his heart and soul into his practice, his patients and their human friends too. I have taken my furry friends to 4 different vets of the past 17 years and Dr. Selmer is my last. We ALL love him, and couldn't ask for a better person or vet, to help us have as long of a loving happy life with our furry kids.

Dr. Selmer and his staff are wonderful, caring dedicated animal healthcare providers and awesome people! We love his philosophy, that he is open & educated in both western & eastern medicines. We are grateful to have found him to help our 16yr 11 mos old pup (she started treatment with 2 months ago). She has been having health issues intermittently for a couple years which she was taking medications for and had side effects from them. Because of his thorough exam we discovered 2 infections that were not tested for previously, which she was given antibiotics, and she has been loving his acupuncture sessions that are giving her more energy, helping her appetite, increasing her ability to move around and overall improving her quality of life. Dr. Selmer is open to co-treat with our regular vet for any testing needed.
We also brought our 1 yr old rottie to him that has been having skin issues, itching and hot spots. Turns out he has allergies and was not reacting well to the no grain

THIS FACILITY WAS HORRIBLE THE STAFF SEEMED FRIENDLY BUT THE VETERINARIAN THEIR SO CALLED SELMER WAS A NASTY SELF CENTERED JERK.THE WAY HE EXPRESSED HIM SELF WHEN I CAME IN WITH MY KIDS WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WHEN I WENT TO ASK A QUESTION HE RESPONDED WITH THE NASTIEST RESPONSE MAKING YOU FEEL SO INFERIOR WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS? I ALSO HAVE A DEGREE MASTERET DEGREE TO BE EXACT HOW DARE HE! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN AND I DON’T THINK ANYONE ELSE SHOULD EITHER.
