My cat received excellent care and I was kept updated throughout the whole time she was there. Staff was amazing and very caring. The vets answered all my questions and got me in quickly due to other family issues. The facility was great. I would recommend this clinic for the very unique treatment protocol they offer for hyperthyroidism in older cats.

Stay away from this clinic. A cure?! Not! Keep your cat on Tapazole. As someone else has said, better on meds. than dead. My beloved cat not only died just a few years later but suffered through a horrific and painful death with thyroid cancer! Shame on these disingenuous crooks.

My 11yr old cat was recently treated for hyperthyroidism at this clinic.I have been astounded at not only the professional capabilities of all the staff I dealt with, but,the care, attention and time they willing spent informing and reassuring me as I asked endless questions about my boy and his treatment. To top things off they went the extra mile in helping me deal with my insurance company. All the staff were flexible and accommodating.I highly recommend this clinic.

I have now had 2 cats zapped by these wonderful ladies- and could not be more happy! I had insurance, so the cost was not so much an issue for me, however even if I didn't it would be worth every penny. Not having to give pills every day, and only having to do a few sets of repeat bloodwork after and then they're CURED! So happy with the entire experience.

My cat was treated last Fall at North West Nuclear Medicine for Animals. He is doing GREAT! I can't say enough about the care and attention both my cat ---and I--- received from the lovely vets there. I was apprehensive at first that my old and rickety Jasper was gong to be treated with radioactive iodine, thinking of various horror movies with glowing mutants, etc. etc. However, those fears were quickly put to rest after the initial consultation. The vet answered all of my questions in great detail and with compassion. She also had a way with Jasper that made him just take to her (and he is a bit of a fussy snob). Once his treatment started and he was to stay there for 6-ish days, I received daily phone calls with how he was doing. With each call I was more relaxed, and it also helped that all my new questions were promptly answered.
My lasting impression is that these vets truly care for the best interests of the animals AND the owners (who might just be a little bit uptight :-) )

Sent my cat here for radioiodine treatment a few months ago. The staff was courteous and wonderful. Exceeded all my expectations of what to expect from this clinic. Incredibly knowledgeable and carefully and meticulously went over all the information necessary to make an informed decision as to whether or not I should treat my cat. Once my cat was there, they phoned me everyday to let me know how she was doing and still spent time with me on the phone answering questions. My cat is home now and and doing great. I would not hesitate to send another cat here or recommend them for treatment.

We are very happy with this clinic . Our cat had the hyperthyroidism treatment . I also had surgery and needed to keep my cat there a extra few days . When I picked her up and asked for my bill for the extra days they kindly said it was no charge . They said that I had no choice as I was I hospital . I am very pleased .

Our cat, Tomas, is back home and doing wonderfully. He spent 5 days at North West Nuclear Medicine, returning a cured kitty. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough about them - extremely communicative, caring, thoughtful, providing regular updates on his treatment. We could not come visit him during his treatment due to the radioactivity of the iodine. However, I enjoyed seeing the great pics of him and comments they posted on their Facebook page (after first asking me if that was OK). It looks like he had quite the swanky pad! :-). If your cat ever becomes hyperthyroid and needs to be cured, rest assured he/she will be in good hands by these fine people. Happy meows from Tomas!

Our cat, Vanya was successfully treated for hyperthyroidism in 2008. He returned home healthy, happy, and a much more mellow cat. When Camilo was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism some years later (his T4s were off the charts) we immediately contacted NW Nuclear and thankfully he was taken on an emergency basis. We were fully informed of the possibility of side effects from the treatment, but neither of our cats had any problems later. NW Nuclear saved both their lives. The doctors and staff are professional, caring, and compassionate. Our cats went in very sick - and stressed at being away from home. Not only did they take excellent care of our boys, but they went above and beyond with extra pampering to make their stay easier. The entire experience, both for our cats and ourselves was 100% positive. Thank you Drs. Sheila, Teresa, and Seantry for being there for our beloved family members.

THEY REFUSED TO TREAT MY CAT BECAUSE I NICELY QUESTIONED ONE AREA IN THEIR DISCLOSURE FORM. RUDE OWNER & STAFF!

It's funny, two out of the four reviews on here prior to this one describe that the cat became hypothyroid. Yet this clinic said the chance that my cat would become hypothyroid from this procedure was close to negligible. Hypothyroidism can be a big problem. As it was for my cat. This procedure isn't always the answer. Think about that before you give this clinic your money like we did. Some cats are better left on Tapazole. It's more like rolling the dice than they want you to believe. There's a big risk. Maybe it's worth it to you. But it's a risk nonetheless. Not necessarily a miracle cure.

I guess I was suckered in by the promise of a cure for my cat. But it's like rolling the dice. Your cat might be one of the lucky ones. Who knows? Mine wasn't. If I could do it again, I'd have just kept him on his medication and not given this clinic a lot of money to make him worse off than he was.

We had the radioactive iodine treatment done here in 2012 to cure our cat's hyperthyroidism. He was dead by December 2012. They gave our cat hypOthyroidism. It wasn't resolved & his organs failed from the strain. Is hypo-T a risk? Yes. You sign a waiver. But they tell you that feline hypo-T is easily resolved. Not necessarily. And getting them to admit your cat is hypo-T so that he's dealt with appropriately before it causes him permanent difficulty? They didn't even *suggest* our cat might be permanently hypo-T for 5 months.
Also, if they give your cat hypo-T, they won't pay the costs to get your cat back into a normal thyroid state. Costs that they say are around $200 a year. For us? At the time he died, we'd paid $1,000+ in lab work & meds.
If they give your cat hypo-T, they consider your cat "cured." Yes, they said that. Had I known that going in, I would've gone somewhere else. Their Web site says that feline hypo-T isn't "life-threatening." Tell that to my cat.
