As a first time dog owner, I brought my dog to Jackson's Creek looking for quality care. They never informed me about fleas/ticks, and in his first year my dog got fleas and spread them to my girlfriend's dog. The following year I was taking my dog to an outdoor dog daycare that required a list of vaccines. When I called to get this I found out that he was behind on some of his vaccines, and Jackson's Creek had never called to inform me. I asked them to please call me in the future, as they should have done, and they agreed that they would, and that was their "usual practice". When I brought him in to get his vaccines I found out he was actually behind on even MORE, that they had not informed me about on the phone. On another occasion, my dog had kennel cough (because they did not call me to update his Bordatella vaccine, yet again), and I brought him in to get looked at. They asked me multiple times why I was in, and I had to reiterate why to multiple people. They asked if he had any

Dr. Thompson is good if you can get her. I haven't been able to see the same vet twice once the clinic started to get bigger. Some of the front desk staff ore horrible to deal with. It seems like they are afraid to make even the tiniest decision without checking with the office manager. Follow-up is terrible. After 3 different visits still could not get an answer to a specific question regarding my pet's care post-op. Yes, each vet had promised to get back to me but didn't! Very oppressive feeling when you walk in the front door so I've moved on and am so much happier. Only good thing about them is their hours.

This vet clinic is the only one I've experienced here in Peterborough, but it is up there with the best compared to the GTA. Dr Jodi Thompson is not only great with people and animals, she shows the signs of an excellent surgeon. The spay incision she left with the laser was neat and careful. You can tell she takes pride in her work even from the outside. It is so great to find a vet who likes to stay up to date on her medical research, using surgical lasers and therapy lasers. Being a vet is a stressful job, and I hope she has a happy lengthy career. She is one of the good ones. Not out for your money, Jackson Creek is there for you and your pet. Jackson Creek is the talk of the town.

When it was time to have my female standard poodle spayed I called several clinics in Peterborough. Jackson Creek had the best prices and also are the only clinic in Peterborough that does laser surgery. Dr. Jodie Thompson is amazing - very kind and gentle with the animals. When my standard poodle boy needed a dental, again they had the best price. The vet called while he was under to tell me that he had two teeth that were chipped and asked what I wanted to do. The tooth pulp wasn't exposed and she agreed with me that removing them wasn't necessary and we would just watch them. She could have added a lot of money to the bill by saying they had to be removed. I am very happy with the care my dogs got from all the staff. The also accept titre test results in place of triennial shots. They also have the best hours of all the clinics in Peterborough. I recommend them to everyone.
