I came here with my cat cocoa for an ear infection. Staff where great dr.yang was polite and knowledgeable on what he had to do. We did an ear smear and then found it was bacteria he gave me the proper medication to bring home and now my cat is a lot better. They even called me the day after to see how cocoa was going

Absolutely love Dr.Yang! Have brought all 4 of my huskies, toy pomeranium, and cats in since the clinic opened. My animals absolutely love him, and he is very patient. I have taken my animals in over 20 times throughout the years and he is very accommodating, way cheaper than other emergency vets. He Spent 7 hours straight pulling 2000 quills out of my husky, with no breaks! Allowing us to be right beside our dogs side throughout the ordeal. He has saved my pets life and I'm grateful to have a vet that sometimes doesn't even charge for extra xrays he may have had to taken. Best vet I've ever had, explains things thoroughly and is calm when I've been panicked. He works very hard and everytime I've been there, customers are praising his clinic and services. There will be good and bad everywhere no matter where you go. Pets are honest and if they show signs of fear, that's more truth than anything! Mine hug and kiss Dr. YANG every time..that's enough of for me ..as a true animal lover

I booked a appointment for my cat a week agofor her 2 be spayed. They assured me that I would get a reminder call. The night b4 the appointment I realized I didnt get a call&started 2 b concerned if the appointment was the next day.I called the clinic @ 8:40pm to follow up.They apologized 4 not calling&that the appointment was indeed the next day.Right as I was about 2 hangup they said 2 make sure not 2 feed my cat past 9pm that night.Which irritated me because if I didnt call in I would not have known&to me it would be detrimental to insure something like that. I brought my cat in paid 4 everything.so I thought. When I picked her up they stated they 4got to put the exam cost on.I was extremely upset that so much miscommunication and negligence occurred in the course of 24 hours.my cat was covered in her own waste for being so frightened and they did not bath her afterwards which I had to do when I got home

We took our dog in as an emergency and Dr yang gave us unneeded tests and when we said that we would prefer to get X-rays first before tests he refused and said the tests should be first. Of course these tests all came back negative and when the X-rays came in he said it could be a foreign body and that he should stay there to see if it passes. The next day we called for updates and they always said that our dog was fine and that they will redo the X-rays in an hour or two. We would call back in an hour or two and they would repeat the same thing, eventually we ended up going down there and they still didn't do the X-rays so we said we would take our dog to a different vet. After we paid they brought our dog out and it couldn't even walk, he was 1000 x worse then when we brought him in. His nose was raw from a muzzle being too tight, and our dog is so friendly muzzle was unnecessary. As we were trying to pick our dog off the floor Dr yang just stood and watched. horrible experience.

I have seen a lot of negative comments about this clinic, which shocked me. My family has been taking our two dogs to see Dr. Yang and his wonderful support staff since the clinic opened in 2012. My dogs love visiting the clinic, the girls always spoil them with cuddles and treats and are very friendly with my family as well. We have had our vaccinations done here, both spays, as well as a handful of emergency visits. Each and every time we go we are treated with respect and our animals cases are treated with compassion and professionalism. Costs are never a surprise as we are always given an estimate and are updated throughout the course of treatments and I have found things to actually be cheaper here then at our previous vet clinic which is always an added bonus. I have nothing but great things to say about the clinic and I would recommend it to anyone needing any type of veterinary care.

Very bad experience. I was extremely overcharged for the little bit of care that my cat received. My cat needed an abscess on his ear lanced and I was shocked when they asked me if I wanted to pay extra for intravenous fluids to keep my cat hydrated and in a stable condition while he was sedated. Really? I thought that keeping the animal hydrated and in stable condition while sedated was routine. I am very very sorry that I came here. Sadly they are only interested in money here and not about the animals at all.

Worst experience I have ever had with a Veterinarian! Dr. Yang is extremely unprofessional. He charged us $140 for an exam, and barely even looked at our dog. We asked for him to bandage her leg up, his response "we charge extra for the bandage." SERIOUSLY?! He tries to take advantage of the situation, and will charge you for whatever he can. He makes me sick to my stomach. Please save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!!!

This vet was real close to my house so I brang my pit bull in because one of his ears were infected and for a check up. When I met Dr.Yang he basically asked me alot of things i wanted him to tell me about my dog health wise. He tried to teach me how to clean n treat my dogs ear with antiseptic and i could barely understand a word he said. I was expecting him to atlease clean my dogs ear the first time to show me an example but he did not. The visit costed me 700 with a bottle of antiseptic n medicine. I got home and felt like i went there for nothing but over priced ear solutions i had to go on youtube to learn how to properly wash a dogs ear and that even taught me better than dr.yang did over all i regret going there wasting my money when i barely even treated my dogs ear and waiting til it healed by it self. I only been to two vet clinics and i hope my next trips to other vets are nothing like Dr.Yang

Horrible Clinic. Dr yang is the most arrogant person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He only cares about money, couldn't care less about your animal. Also zero communication skills which likely has to do with his lack of compassion. Do yourself, and your pet, a favour and go to EVEC downtown if you have an emergency or get your pet transferred elsewhere

I don't understand the all the complaints. I used to be a vet assistant when I was younger and I've always found this clinic was very reasonable. I've been bringing my dog here since they opened. My little dog is terrified of the vet and both vets have always been very caring to her. A shame Dr.Lecky has moved though, both great vets!

My puppy broke his leg, we took him here because it was close to our house. At first the vet said he had two broken legs. There was only one. The vet put a cast on it and it was too tight, his paw was turning purple so we ended up cutting the cast in the middle of the night to relieve the pressure. We brought him back in the next day and the vet said it had to be reset. It has been a year since his break and he limps now. We took him to our normal vet and we have been told the bone is out of line and we are having to look in getting it fixed properly. I would never recommend this clinic.

For your pets life and safety I would NEVER recommend this clinic, and when I say never I mean never go to this place for nothing. My 15 week old puppy had a small fracture in her foot, prior to xrays Dr. Yang did a physical exam and did not think anything was broken, post xray he tells me she has a fracture and now he can feel it on physical exam-how does it change? Then took way longer then told to place splint on and tried to recommend things which were not nesscary for a small non weight barring toe. He also got VERY VERY defensive when asked why his reviews were so low (I read the reviews during procedure) Few days later my puppies toe nail fell off and I brought her in to my vet to find out the cast was on way too tight. It was cut off immediately to find sores and HUGE swelling. Cast was on way to tight and a few more days she could of lost her paw. She need IV antibiotics, fluids and overnight stay at the hospital. DO NOT GO HERE, TAKE THE TIME TO DRIVE ELSE WHERE!

Here is my review as an ex-employee. Dr. Yang, has zero passion or love for animals, he's only in the business for the money, if he's not making some kind of money on a pet he doesn't want them in his clinic. He euthanized a perfectly healthy dog that I found a rescue for because he didn't want her in the clinic for another 11 hours. Every pet that comes in with vomitting has a "foreign body", no pet has ever passed that foreign body. He will make estimates on the lower side and when the owners come in the invoice is 300-400$ more. I personally would never trust him with my pet, there have been MANY times where vitals aren't recorded during anesthesia, one dog passed during surgery and no one knew until it was over. Another dog passed away because he wasn't careful while using a drug known to cause to kidney failure. He has made mistakes with the dogs weight mixing lbs and kgs. I wouldn't recommend coming here for anything else then vaccines. Dr. Lecky is now at Stony Plain Vet Clinic.

Dr. Yang is a horrible vet! Just concerned about money. Does NOT care about my animal's well being at all. Dr. Lecky however is amazing. Great vet, wrong location. Will NOT return to this clinic. Horribly understaffed and could not understand Dr. Yang at all. I will follow Dr. Lecky to where ever her career takes her. I doubt this clinic will last long with it's poor service and rude staff. The staff didn't seem to enjoy working there or even want to work there. Horrible negative environment. Waste of my time and money. Will not recommend to anyone! Take the extra drive to the downtown emerg. Dr. Yang nearly killed my cat. SO MAD!

No good staff and lack of staff. Always put on hold for 5-10 minutes EVERY time I call. When I go to buy food, no one at the desk....have to ring a bell for service. Clinic is nice though, but service is inefficient.

Dr lecky is a new vet at the practice and she is so caring ! She took the time to listen to my concerns as I have a giant breed dog and they require different care ! She is just what me and my English mastiff need ! She was knowledgable with giant breeds as she owns 2 herself ! I was happy when I left there and felt as is I could rest at ease knowing she will do what is best for my dog ! She was amazing !!!

I myself had to barge into the X-ray room and take my cat they hurt him worse than his original injury . And that was after giving him enough ketamine to drop a person it was 6-7 hrs before my cat (that jumps out the second story window ) could start walking again . ... Then today my friends dog was clearly having extreme difficulty breathing was taken there and sent home no treatment . Better off downtown emergency for sure .

I only went to this vet clinic because of its location (a 5 minute drive away from my house). I brought my dog in for a check-up and vaccines. I told the doctor that I noticed my dog licking his behind sometimes so the doctor said he would check my dog's anal glands. I agreed and asked if my dog's nails could be trimmed too. After looking at my invoice, I noticed that there were additional fees added on for cleaning the anal glands and the nail trim, but these fees weren't mentioned to me during the exam. All of these treatments were included in the exam at the clinic where I usually take my dog. I think I'll bring my dog back to his original clinic even though it is a half hour drive away. The vet and staff at that clinic are nicer and happier than the ones at Hollick Kenyon anyway.

Brought in my dog for what I was told would be minor surgery. est. was $600.00 When my wife went to pick her up it was over $3,000.00. No call to let us know. Just pay or we will hold your dog at $50 a day plus boarding until paid. I had the tumer sent in for testing. The results accourting to Dr. Yang were not cancer. Good news, Wrong. Had to take my dog back for check up visits each one had a cost. After dog was given clean bill of health. Total bill amost $7000.00. Two months later I have found out my dog has cancer. Dr.Yang did not take all of the cancer out with his sergey. Now I have to put my dog down.

Brought my dog here as it was the closest clinic. Big mistake! Was charged $680 to trim down a broken toenail. Dr.Yang was rude and cold with my Dog. Not for a second did I believe he genuinely cared for my dog. This is a classic example of a Vet who only cares about money, and most likely doesn't even like animals! Front end staff is also rude. Clinic is very nice and new when you walk in, but behind closed doors it is dirty and run down. STAY AWAY!

Before even seeing Dr. Yang, I was immediately charged a checkup fee! I've gone to other vets and they usually wait until after the checkup to charge. That immediately was a bad sign, unfortunately I didn't leave. My cat was suffering from blockage that wasn't allowing him to pee which requires the insertion of a tube to remove crystals blocking the flow of urine in the bladder. He came back with an up-charged quote of over $1000 dollars with arbitrary fees and checkups. I phoned other locations and unfortunately their vets were all busy, however they offered more reasonable prices at $800. Either way I decided to go with him and and he calls later and says he was unable to insert the tube. He recommended specialist or euthanization. Took him immediately to another vet for a second opinion. Second vet fixed issue in 10 minutes and didn't charge me deposit or checkup fee. Dr. Yang did not display genuine effort.

I was really disappointed with the clinic as it's location couldn't be better for me. The vet was disconnected and I felt dismissed during the appointment. The facility proper is quite nice and the appnt ran on time. I had to pick my jaw off the floor when I was handed the bill as I have never paid that much for a basic checkup.

Dr. Yang was hard to understand. Went in for professional opinion and left completely confused. We asked him what are the steps we need to take from here, but his answers were totally different from the previous. It was the quickest close to $300 we've ever spend. Didn't feel comfortable leaving our dog with him. We felt Dr. Yang is unprofessional, adds on services only to charge you more, his communication skills are zero. Please save yourself a trip. Go to another clinic!

I had an emergency on Sunday with my Pug.He had multiple puncture wounds. The clinic is beautiful and the staff, including the Veterinarians were all wonderful. They were very compassionate regarding the situation and had taken very good care of my Pug. He had to undergo surgery and I had felt considering all the work they had to do on my pet, I think that the price was very reasonable considering I am employed at a different Veterinary Clinic.

Have dealt with multiple vets at this clinic. The owner/main vet is arrogant, rude and cares only about money. Rates continuously go up after each visit with obscure charges showing up on my bill. Refused to provide my dog with an International Health Certificate, citing it was unnecessary for entry to the US despite being told the exact opposite from another vet at the same clinic (on a previous visit) as well as WestJet staff. Long wait times, make you feel as though you're wasting their time and just an unpleasant demeanor overall. Save yourself the trouble and avoid.
