My dog was brought in for care that required rather immediate attention due to some bleeding and discharge. The dog was brought in with an appt. Unfortunately I did not have the full required payment for surgery and due to a poor credit rating the centers Care Credit Program could not be utilized because the credit would not be approved. I tried to set up a payment plan but the center was adamant on payment. This is a center that is/was affiliated with the Humane Society of Missouri and recently changed their name to the Animal Medical Center of Mid America possibly becoming more "bottom line" rather that providing rescue and care services to pet owners in the community. I spoke with the director and a number of other employees with no satisfaction....in the end my dog did not receive the care he needed because I did not have the full amount and they would not accept a payment schedule outside of their Care Credit Program. I was absolutely shocked and my dog was hurting...
