Click to report rating    2/27/08   2     2     1     1   We adopted a 15yr old cat with a cough. On our 2nd appt Dr Moore said Jake was old and it could be various critical issues Jake could die from. $337.27 later Jake was diagnosed as having asthma and put on predisolone 5 mg qd. Moore charged $26.65 for 40 pills. Jake needed smaller pills so we got some prednisolone 5 mg from out of the US. Jake did great-no asthma attacks. We needed more pills from Dr Moore-within two days Jake was having asthma attacks. We asked for a Rx that could be taken to another Pharmacy he refused would only approve of pills from his clinic & said Jake was critical-more test were needed. My husband got a Rx and we went to Costco-within 1 day Jake’s asthma attacks stopped. I highly question if Dr Moore has any ethics. He talked to my husband about the high cost of running a clinic (a bottle of 100 cost only $8.65 at Costco). Our new vet is Great and believes in running test only if they are needed. It’s been a month and Jake is healthy & happy. RID: 7552
