Click to report rating    11/1/18   5     5     5     5   After finding Dr. Dave on the phone, I came from Oshawa to Unionville because he made sense to me. I had been to other vets who recommended drastic surgery for my Havanese. Dr Dave put my dog on supplements and special food. Within weeks he was doing amazing! He's a great doctor, he explains everything clearly and answers your questions. RID: 66973
Click to report rating    7/28/17   5     5     5     5   Dr Bonab did a house call and we also came to the clinic. This Vets approach to animals is multifaceted and he used other means of treating than just drugs. He was able to re-diagnose my dog with some immune weakness, allergies and inflammation. He prescribed home treatment and took him off steroids , antibiotics , etc. WE changed his diet and in10 days my 12 year old Jack Russell was back in action. His fur looks better, his eyes and ears are clear and on no medications anymore( which we do not adhere to) Big Thanks Dave! RID: 64296

Click to report rating    3/21/17   5     5     5     5   Dr. Bonab and his team have cared for many of our companion animals over the years, including our hamster, cats and dogs. Not only did he compassionately and thoroughly support us through the loss of our dear cat Squirt, he has provided excellent dental care to our dog HONEY as well as navigating us through the recent ACL surgery for our dog, Willow. He is extremely accessible through both email and by phone but went over and above the usual service when Willow also faced a liver biopsy and the need for targeted medication. His staff are also amazing, empathetic and always friendly. Dr. Bonab is an amazing vet and we are extremely satisfied with all the services our furry friends have received. Thanks, Dr. Bonab! Click to report rating    3/15/17   5     5     5     5   I have had a very positive experience with this clinic. Dr. Bonab provided the most current and up-to-date treatment for a condition from which my pet had been suffering for some time but for which I had only been provided with two options at another clinic and the second being very extreme, should the first eventually fail to achieve results. Dr. Bonab provided me with other treatment options which were available and which reduced the severity of my pet's condition and got it to a state where it is more manageable and where my pet can be comfortable and happy. Dr. Bonab is very knowledgeable, very thorough and very caring in his treatment of the pets; the staff are friendly and caring; the environment is calm and clean; and it is evident that a pet's comfort is most important and takes precedence over anything else. Thank you Dr. Bonab and staff for all of your help. Please keep up the great work that you do for our pets. RID: 63032
Click to report rating    2/14/17   5     5     5     5   I adopted my kitten from here. The Hospital is very clean and all the staffs are very friendly. They really do care about the pets and their patients. I always get a vaccine reminder for my kitten and good recommendation on which food I have to feed my pet. Dr. Dave is very careful in procedures on his patients. I do recommend this clinic to others! RID: 62671

Click to report rating    3/14/16   1     2     3     1   DO NOT TAKE YOUR EXOTICS HERE! I knew my rat had acute URI and ear infection (from experience). I took him to Dr. Dave Bonad, he was a little rough when examining my rat, and he shook his hands after (making it seems like my rat was filthy and showed that he was reluctant to touch him!!). I told him i think my rat has a URI and possible ear infection, and all he said was "yup it's like what you said"!! Then he prescribed me 2 antibiotics without explaining the reason behind them, one of them was very diluted (by him), and the other was a old school broad spectrum antibiotics that requires a large dose. how am I supposed to feed such large amount of liquid to my rat when he's already refusing to drink/eat?! I later emailed him since my rat was getting worse (almost dying), and he admitted another type of antibiotic would probably be better but he's currently out of stock! makes me think he didn't prescribe it just because he did not have it on hand. BAD VET OVERALL. DO NOT GO. RID: 60024
Click to report rating    12/14/15   5     5     5     5   My 15yr old has severe heart problems, she was coughing day and night, the vet I had been seen said because of my dog's age and the heart conditions not much he could do unless going through all kinds of expensive tests. So I brought my dog to see Dr Dave, Dr Dave carefully examined her and found there was fluid in her lungs and it was the cause of her coughing which the other vet didn't find out. Dr. Dave then gave my dog injection to drain the fluid out of her lungs and oxygen treatment to help her breathe, all these only cost me little money and now my dog stop coughing. what a huge difference Dr Dave has made. It's very hard to find a vet who is professional, caring, passionate and trustworthy, Dr Dave is definitely the one. Staff at Unionville South Pet Hospital are also very nice and friendly. I strongly recommended Dr Dave and Unionville South Pet Hospital. RID: 59247
Click to report rating    7/22/15   4     3     5     5   Dr. Dave has seen 3 of my rabbits and for 1st exam fee $70, it's decent. For this price, you can't really expect a thorough check up. If you don't show him what seems to be the problem, he will not hold the bunny more than 2 times. Make sure you mention you are concerned with your rabbit's teeth and fur. He is honest when it comes to rabbit dentistry, he will refer you to another clinic for incisor extractions. His meds are also the cheapest I can find. BTW, nail clipping is an additional $20. I would definitely recommend this clinic for an annual check up and medication refills but for serious inquiries go to Greenwood or Dunnville (my favourite) RID: 57770
