This is the best vet clinic in Hamilton. The staff is amazing and they give amazing care to all the animals. They go beyond the call of duty. I was so skeptic at first but from day one they have been outstanding. When I had an emergency with my kitte they took care of him as it was their own. Thank you so much. Domino and his family are very grateful for you all.

Wonderful place ..I came in frantic My little dog was hit by a car ...They took fantastic care Oliver and his mommy (me) who was a basket case....Oliver is doing good ...They are not my hospital I go to but they will be now.....Prices are reasonable and tech and vet were very nice and The tech that day ( Sat April 28) was awesome ...Thank you from Oliver and his mommy <3

We went to this clinic yesterday. We had our dog neutered and vaccinated. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. Dr. Virdi was very pleasant, helpful, gentle, caring and patient. The clinic is clean, the prices are excellent, there was no up-selling. It was a calm enjoyable experience. I have recommended this clinic to family and friends.

I've been here many times. Sometimes I regretted it. Services like vaccines are cheap, but doctors dont seem the most knowledgeable. They dont want to deal with chronic problems, and often try to give them stuff they dont need. I was here on many occasions and last time, it seemed that they were more interested in money, as I had a cat with a bad abscess infection that needed draining, and they made me wait too long to see her, about 5 days. It was really packed too. Usually I can get an appointment the same day easily. Ended up having to go to the ER on a holiday. I guess since it was around summer time, it was a priority for others to get vaccines and pest treatment? It wasn't a pleasant experience knowing that I let my cat suffer more than he should've and didn't go to a nearby clinic. Nonetheless, I'm not enraged that I would never go there again, I just hope they can get priorities straight in the future...

when i went for the 1st time i explained my cats condition & had previous records faxed to dr verma - all i needed was more medication for my cat-when this medication no longer worked it was time to say good bye - after a check up & refusing blood work due to her condition (was not necessary), he finally gave me the meds i needed-it had to be replaced because it was not the right one (i knew because of the colour) - initially he was going to put her on the wrong medication & i had to correct him - he looked at his book and said i was right - i should not be correcting a dr - this is back in oct/14 - today when i call for a refill - he refused without another check up & bloodwork, knowing that this medication was just to prolong her life confortably - i felt this was just a way to make alot more money and had nothing to do with ethics

So I had rescued my cat from the SPCA, and when I had got her she had a URI. Was on medication, but she was sick for three months afterwards. The Barton Gray Animal Hospital put her on an antibiotic different from what the SPCA had her on (and charged me $50 every week for it!). Recently I stopped trusting them because the meds weren't working, and took her to another vet. Turns out the medication was too harsh and ate away at her liver. She had bloodwork done, and passed away from the medication. I seriously do not recommend this vet. He has sworn at me multiple times saying "I don't trust him" when I was telling him about my cat's condition, and didn't believe anything I was saying, then threw my file at me and threatened to call the cops. It isn't worth it for the price, because all they're trying to do is get their money. Putting a cat on a harsh medication shocked the other vet and he said she shouldn't have been on it more than 5 days, but was on it 3 months. Very unimpresed.

Fantastic Animal Hospital, Dr Virdi was very compassionate Dr. My darling 12 year old dog was treated with kindness and caring. I am glad that when the end came, she was surrounded with such love.

It seems like the doctor didnt really care about money but the pets health in priority at our first visit and thats the main reason we continue visit the clinic. The staffs and vets were so nice and friendly. We have recommended so many of our friends go to the clinic. However, after the third visit, we have noticed that the vet is charging us more and more for unnecessary stuff-- for example we went to the clinic and asked for the revolution which only cost under $20 but they ended up charge us $40 extra for wellness exam... He barely look at our dog or ask any question... This clinic is not terrible, they do their job,kinda, with no passion. But my pet definitely desevers a better vet. And this clinic is too far from my home so we will just search for another clinic in our area

Moved my dog here because my previous vet sold me duplicate prescriptions. Fees for the vaccinations I received were about 40% lower than the old place! Dr Varma was considerate, listened to my concerns and explained all my options thoroughly. Would highly recommend you give it a try if unhappy about your current service provider.

Barton Grays Animal Hospital is an excellent Animal Hospital. The doctors are extremely fantastic. The care and compassion they have shown to my 2 little dogs goes beyond words. I can never thank them enough for their dedication to my little girls. When they do an examination, it's like they are treating their own pets. They don't treat my dogs as if they were patients, but as if it was their own pets. They are the kindest and most compassionate vets I have ever encountered. They "get" your concerns and fears. They work with you and your pet. The doctors at Barton Grays Animal Hospital are the best vets in the Stoney Creek area. If there was an excellent column instead of the GOOD, I'd tick off all the "EXCELLENT" boxes. I'm so happy that I've found a fantastic pair of vets for my 2 little dogs. I don't need to go anywhere else or look any farther. My little dogs like them too and that's important. Thank you Barton Grays Animal Hospital, for your continued devotion caring for my dogs.

I had the unpleasant experience of having to deal with Verma. He did NOT listen to what I was saying about my pet and had to several times repeat myself to him. He was more concerned with getting paid then he was with helping my dog. He wanted to prescribe antibiotics without knowing what was wrong. I refused and stated that I wanted to wait for a diagnosis. As it turns out, there was nothing wrong on the xray. Even other people that I have talked to with regards to Verma do not like him.
I was forward with him and stated my opinions on what I wanted and didn't want for my pet.
I tried to make an appointment with the other vet to finish my pets tests. Instead, Verma informs me that he does not wish to have my pet go there anymore. I feel that he is a horrid person and vet and if he doesn't like pet owners advocating for their animals, he should seek another profession.

I read reviews about different animal clinics and chose Barton Grays Animal Hospital. After bringing my cat in for a Physical examination, I must agree with the other reviews about this animal clinic. Doctors listens to the clients interests and concerns, and then makes suggestions. I am more than happy with the services I received from Barton Grays animal hospital at very reasonable cost.

i just am so happy with the vets, they are listening and answering questions , available for phone calls, you can tell that they genuinely care about your pet and not making the buck! they know dogs are furred family members and they treat them with love and respect.. wished they were in business when i had to put down my beloved dog Heidi . i would have been much more comfortable here.

We were looking for a Vet in the Hamilton area for over a year now. The first two or three that we tried were not only a little on the expensive side and they didn't seem to want to explain anything to us. I found the staff at Barton Grays Animal Hospital to be extremely friendly and have been more than willing to take the time to explain or address any concerns that we had. My wife and I are happy to have found this Vet.

They treat you with respect. The staff is all about the animals not the money. If you call with a problem the vet gets on the phone himself to talk to you. He will also help you get over the counter supplies instead of spending so much money. I have been to many vets over the years and the staff here is the best.

took my dog to this vet last week and i love this place and the staff. very friendly and honest people. very good prices.good services at much cheaper prices than my regular vet. they spent lot of time to answer all my questions and provided very honest advice and treated my dog professionally.
