I have very negative feelings toward PVSEC Animal Clinic. Over the past 10 years I have used them 3 times with two different dogs. Twice I left with the remains of my dog in a box and the other time feeling like I was robbed. It was when I brought my Wheaten in with neck problems that I was the most disappointed. They could not figure out the problem and recommended a MRI that was very expensive. Luckily I passed on this test and took my Wheaten to the Wexford Animal Clinic. They said that he had an infection in his neck that was common with Wheaten's and with some antibiotics he was cured. PVSEC vet followed up with us the next week and asked about our Wheaten and I told him that Wexford Animal Clinic found the problem and fix it. My surprise was that the Vet that called didn't have the intellectual curiosity to find out what the issue was. He knew they were not getting anymore money out of this time. Pray your dog doesn't get sick late and night or on a weekend.

If you go, remember you are visiting a business. A business focused on $$$$. This business has very little customer focus. The focus by the Dr.s is to help your pet, but at a price. They will look at your pet then give you an estimate and wait for you to say, Yeah I can afford that or no I can't. They will only assist your pet if you pay an 80% deposit first. Sometimes I felt they were holding my dog for ransom. The surgeon who operated on my dog was good. However, the radiologist and especially the oncologist are extremely poor with communication. I've waited up to 2 weeks to have Dr. call me back, which really never happened, I had the talk with Dr during the next visit. The techs will call you the next day but it's hard to get the Dr. to return your call. Very frustrating when you've already given them $2500.00 for cancer treatments. I am seeking a second opinion from a different practice. Will only use this place again if I have no other options! Good luck!

There probably isn't a better group of surgeons and specialists any where in the city. I have experienced truly gifted and caring docs. However, you need to focus on the fact that these docs and your pet are the reason to go to PVSEC. The way the business is run at PVSEC will frustrate you, upset you and anger you at the time when you are probably in trauma over the plight of your pet. Communications between docs, techs to docs but particularly to you are frightful and don't expect Customer or rather patient service. Knowing this, you can go into PVSEC fully aware of their flaws so that you can focus on what is best for your pet.
It is the organization that surrounds the docs that is troubled. With that in mind; it will never be improved. But price and patient satisfaction are not the issues to focus on when you go there; or don't go there. Go for the skill of the docs. If there is a way to help your pet those docs will find it.

These people care only for money not your pet.I took my cat there for anemia and all they did for two days is call asking for more and more deposits.I maxed out my care card my sisters care card and a visa.They wanted 3000.00 more.They were supposed to do surgery on my cat instead the vet called to demand more money when I couldn't come up with 600 more dollars they called o ff her surgery and wanted to put her to sleep.I took her home to die pecefully with her family.One minute they said she could have the surgery and when I didn't have the600.00 they called off the surgery gave her a badblood infusion and basically killed her.I hate this place and am reporting them.Money is all they want not your pet to get better.They encourage euthanasia over saving your pet.My cat was so precious to me and they treated her like she should be disposed of. They are thieves and crooks.I am glad my baby came home with me to die peacefully.
