They didn't have any dog treats to make him enjoy his experience and he ended up in two muzzles peeing himself out of fear. My previous vet gave him his shots with a handful of treats, and he didn't even notice. There's a sign at the front desk that says "verbal abuse is wrong" or something - why is this sign necessary? Is it common that they're verbally abused? The exam room had signs that said "we work with experts to provide elevated service" - you are my vet. I trust that you have at least a decently accurate intuition as a foundation of being a professional, especially for smaller concerns. Our discussion immediately jumped into the risks of his nose being dry and when asked about the rest of the physical consultation, the vet said he was great everywhere else; I was expecting at least a reminder to brush his teeth more frequently, especially when there was another sign in the room saying "We value preventative healthcare." Click to report rating    7/15/19   5     5     1     1   This place is such a scam. My dog went in for a very small issue. 5 minutes after we ended up with a 400 dollar bill without even a proper diagnosis. A few days later, we tried another vet who successfully diagnosed the issue, cost 100$ with a remedy and a droplet compound. She’s so much better. This has happened before at this clinic. He only cares about the money. I’ve spent over 4000 at that clinic for two visits and my dog had nothing more than a small blockage and a cough (collectively). We will never do business here again. Click to report rating    3/1/19   5     5     5     5   Wow read the negative reviews. I am an educated business professional, and never felt like anything was improper. You always get what you pay for. Whenever a test was suggested it was optional and the full price disclosed, and the pros and cons discussed prior. This is a modern medical clinic for animals, not a pet clinic in the boonies in a farmhouse. I drive from south Toronto for Dr Ray to treat my dog. My trust has been earned. Want cheaper care? Perhaps try a cheaper location with less overhead and older equipment. My old vet was cheaper, but his equipment was from the 70's no joke. He was competent, but I'd rather have a current vet up to speed on current pharma. Medicine doesn't stay the same for 30 years. RID: 67416
Click to report rating    8/31/18   1     1     1     1   Dr. Ray is a scammer and he knows it. He's one of those vets that takes advantage of people's love for their pets and your pet is a bag of money to him. There are so many vets like him in Woodbridge and this needs to stop. There needs to be more laws regulating the veterinarian practice in Canada so that vets cannot double dip: prescribe and sell the drug. Dr. Ray will pressure you to do many unnecessary tests under the disguise of making a better diagnosis. My dog had seasonal skin allergies and he told me that she needed to check the pressure of her eyes to make sure she's not going blind...of course i'm going to believe the vet and not think he's just trying to make money and agreed. He basically ended up checking the pressure of the eye just so he can prescribe my dog Refresh Eye Drops that you can get over the counter....after performing all these unnecessary test my bill for more than $400. I saw the Refresh Eye Drops at Shopper Drugs Mart and they were half the price. RID: 66738
Click to report rating    7/30/18   5     5     5     5   Dr Ray and his staff are the world’s best team. Dr Ray is thorough, kind and passionate, offers genuine empathy and support. Excellent full service with sparkling clean clinic. I would have no doubt to recommend Dr Ray to any pet parents. A fantastic Veterinary Clinic. Thank you Dr Ray for all you have done for us. God bless. RID: 66559
Click to report rating    4/28/18   1     1     1     1   He needs to educate himself , his diagnose on my dog was completely wrong ,he was going to do knees operation on my dog who had spleen & liver issues , he needs to learn that organs problems start with back legs weakness , believe me my dog's knee had & still has NO PROBLEM , I can prove it RID: 66044
Click to report rating    3/12/18   1     1     1     1   I am so upset and shocked at the way this vet dealt with our dog and family. How does one become a vet and have little to no compassion towards animals and their owners? The reviews on here are true. He really is just in this for the money. Exaggerated symptoms and illness to ensure that he was paid more when dog was completely fine when seen by other vet. He had a receipt drawn up for two nights stay (plus all other fees) but when we said we weren't keeping our dog there a second night he reissued a second receipt to charge us for other things that weren't included in the original statement to ensure he still got paid the same amount. WHAT A JOKE! So sad to see a vet take advantage of the love an owner has for their pet. Disgraceful, Dr. Ray I hope you see this and change as a person and develop more compassion and class for that matter. RID: 65740
Click to report rating    4/3/17   1     1     1     1   Horrible horrible clinic! Dr Ray is clearly only in this for the money! I've heard him talking to his staff like children and idiots as well. Just an overall untrusting person, wouldn't trust my pets with this man again ever!! RID: 63229
Click to report rating    10/11/16   1     4     2     1   Horrible vet! Very pushy with expensive unnecessary treatments and surgeries!! Dr. Ray appears to only be in this for the money! Don't let the fancy new clinic fool you. He over vaccinates, doesn't do surgery when he should and euthanizes animals opposed to other options! Taking my pets elsewhere! RID: 61790
Click to report rating    10/9/16   1     1     1     1   Do not bring ur pet here, I brought my cat here only for the dr to tell me my cat was gonna die in less than 24 hours or I could euthanize him. I took my cat to another vet and they said it was just a minor infection that could be treated and it's been three months since my cat is fine RID: 61777
Click to report rating    8/28/16   1     5     5     1   Please be advised this veterinarian is in this profession to make money he doesn't care about your pet. I too almost paid Dr. Ray for a surgery that was completely unnecessary! I was advised by a relative in the medical profession to seek an a second opinion.... that was not taken very well by Dr. Ray so when he forwarded Diesel's results he told us that we were no longer welcome at the clinic! The vet at North Woodbridge veterinary clinic felt that medication and bed rest would take care of Diesel's limp. This so called vet was going to perform a totally unnecessary surgery at the cost of $3,500. Dr.Ray is the worst of the worst who prays on an animal lovers heart?????? RID: 61444
Click to report rating    5/14/15   2     2     2     1   DO NOT bring your pet here! Dr. Ray LIED to us, told us our pet had a fracture (he did xrays on our dog and never let us see the xrays of the 'fracture') we then had to put our dog in a splint, and days later I noticed a big change (for the worse) in our dog, was very tired all the time, wasn't very playful... we then took her to see another vet and get a second opinion.. turns out, she never had a fracture and it was a minor sprain and she will be fine within a couple of weeks. Since her splint coming off she is back to her normal self, however, thanks to Dr. Ray she now has a skin rash caused by the splint and how tight he wrapped it around her paw. Also, he is not very confident in his decision making and can never give you an answer. Take your pet elsewhere, do your research and shop around for a vet who cares about your pets health, not your credit card!!! RID: 56997
Click to report rating    4/2/15   1     1     1     1   Dr. Ray was horrible. Very RUDE !! Did not seem like a confident or competent veterinarian at all. Horrible at surgery and most procedures!!! DO not fall for his fake kindness!! RID: 56494
11/10/14   2     3     3     1   Terrible experience. Very Untrustworthy. Constantly tried to push their food. Over vaccinated. Never going back RID: 54543
Click to report rating    9/24/14   5     5     5     5   Dr. Ray is a really great vet. I've never had such a thorough exam done on my dog before. The staff gave us a tour and showed us the whole clinic and it's very clean - cleaner than my family dr actually. Definitely recommend them. RID: 53720
Click to report rating    3/12/14   5     5     5     5   Very knowledgable extremely thorough. Clean facility and never have to wait to be seen. Patient and understanding. Answers all questions and concerns with great detail. Presents all possible options for specific situations so you are well informed before making any decisions. Costs are reasonable, not cheap but not over the top. Overall, good place. RID: 50448
Click to report rating    12/11/13   5     5     5     5   Dr. Ray is an excellent veterinarian. He is very knowledgeable and he also knows when to ask for consult if he needs one. Very compassionate towards his patient and the owner. The staff is great and always a pleasure to deal with. The facilities are wonderful and technologically advanced. I am very lucky i found this place for my pets. RID: 48719
Click to report rating    7/4/13   5     5     5     4   Dr Ray was different from other vets that I have seen so far. He spent time and explained everything in a simple way. For the first time I realized that there is a difference between veterinarians. I recommend him and his beautiful clinic to everyone. All he wants is to make you happy. RID: 43478
Click to report rating    7/2/13   5     5     5     4   We came to the clinic a couple weeks back as a walk-in for a check up & yearly vaccinations for our dog. The clinic was brand new & they were very eager to show it off - it was clean, new equipment, etc. The vet (dr ray) was very thorough and explained everything he was doing & things he was looking for. The price was not the cheapest compared to our old vet in Scarborough, but it also wasn't the most outrageously expensive place we have encountered. It was definitely quality care. Also, we have never encountered a doctor that was as thorough in going over the blood test results RID: 43440
7/2/13   5     5     5     5   Dr Ray was very nice and informative. Our dog Muffin is usually very afraid of vet clinics, but he was calm there RID: 43432
