I brought my cat in for hair loss on her tail, certainly not a life or death issue, because they quoted a low cost.Without asking me if I was interested in spending that much, and before any diagnosis,he told his assistant to take $100 security deposit. When I asked why,he brought it down to $75.I began to feel uneasy, and called back to inform them I would not commit to any treatment costing more than $75.When I went back he gave me back my cat. When I asked how much it would cost for a diagnosis he wouldn't say,but evidently didn't want to treat her because she was behaving emotionally towards him, hissing etc.He did keep $45 and gave me a pamphlet for a large clinic with specialists.Since he is from France I shared with him that my grandfather was a veterinarian,as was my father, and that my grandfather was so distinguished he earned the honor of being named Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole de France. He responded that the profession was small potatoes in Quebec.Very rude.

Dr. Lubrina has been taking care of my cat for more than 15 years, ever since I adopted him as a stray. Dr. Lubrina is very knowledgeable and skillful. Thanks to his skill, my cat has had more than 9 lives and is now 21 years old. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful care Dr. Lubrina shows both to animals and their owners.

Arrogant? Yes. Intimidating? Yes. But...He saved my cat twice. Once she had torn her face apart scratching (she had been left with a cat sitter). He was available at a late hour and took her immediately. She recovered. She then was poisoned by something in my home (no more plants or cleansers for me) and he saved her. And he responded to my call at 10:30 at night when she returned home when I worried because she wasn't drinking water. I have overheard him tell people "Your dog should stay for observation. You are worried about the cost? I won't charge you". He is efficient...maybe not patient. But if you need a vet in the middle of the night who knows what he's doing...it's nice to know he's there.

Worst vet I've ever seen! He took my extremely ill cat aggressively on the examination table. Examined him for less than 2 minutes then asked me "how much do I care about this cat." He said he could keep him overnight but he would likely die and I should go to a hospital that can actually save him if I care. Then he literally sprayed disinfectant around the cat while he was on the table (cats hate spray of any kind!) before rolling him like a sausage on a blanket and ushering me out. My cat was terrified and sick and the man was rude, not compassionate at all and basically offered to take my money to kill my cat. I had to go to the DMV emergency hospital where the staff was warm and saved my cat's life. Francois Lubrina should not practice veterinary medicine!

He has reasonable prices. He truly does care about the well-being of your furry friend. Very polite to your pets and respectful. You can actually tell he loves animals and that is very important in my opinion. After reading the bad reviews, I never thought he was arrogant. He explains everything he is doing and even shows me what I can do at home for both my cats. I would recommend him to anyone.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Lubrina, he is not after YOUR money. He is very fair, infact he doesn't charge extra no matter how long your pet needs to stay.I have two cats that have met Dr. Lubrina and he has always given them fantastic care. He might look like he is too busy to answer your questions but I can assure you, if you say that you need clarification, he will step back and give you all the information you need. Some people are too shy to ask questions because his title is Dr., just like you may do with your family doctor. Be a voice for your animals and ask the questions you have and Dr. Lubrina will draw a diagram if need so. I would never go to anyone else, he realy has a passion for animals and I and my cats feel that from him. Johanne Duc, mother of Tyra and Wally.

This doctor should be avoided. He is very arrogant, either doesn't answer your questions at all or gives you such evasive answers that you get anxious about your pet condition and the reason for hospitalization. Moreover, "recovery" follows the same pattern: a few days later cats are feverish, throw up and "treatment" starts all over again.

Dr Lubrina is arrogant, repeats and contradicts himself constantly, and does not take the time to explain the medical condition accurately and speaks to his clients as if they were idiots. He prolongs hospitalization of animals for no justifiable reason, his technicians won't even tell you if your animal is alive when there is no vet on duty, which is most of the time between 8 and 5. He appears magically at five and makes clients leave their animals at the clinic regardless of the condition. Of five animals that he has treated, 3 died on his table, one was lost with absolutely no explanation, and the third has been hospitalized for three days now, although the urinary blockage for which he was admitted was "the easiest blockage I've ever worked on" according to the veterinarian who placed a catheter within one hour of admission and said to me that all they found were struvites, which are the easiest to treat, and that we had caught the blockage at a very early stage.

Excellent vétérinaire. Très humain. Pas une machine à argent. Très abordable. Ne fais pas dépenser inutilement pour des tests ou ex.
