We were recommended to Liston from our next door neighbours when our cat developed jaw cancer. Our first visit to a different Vet had us angry at the cold and detached service we received. Dr. Marianne was absolutely awesome. She explained options for us including a cat oncologist from Montreal that comes into Ottawa 1 day a month to the Animal Hospital. she even called the Oncologist's office in Montreal to get us an earlier appt. She was amazing. Although our cat passed from the cancer now that we have 2 new cats it was a no brainer to take them to Liston Clinic as they showed real empathy to us and our pet family member.

Horrible customer service! I had an appointment to see Dr Liston and ended up seeing some cranky vet named Dr Van Krinigen (not sure how to spell the name ) she was extremely rude and cocky with me. Wanted to give my 18 year old indoor cat a rabies shot before she helped my cat today!!!! Are you kidding me???? My cat had her rabies shot when she was young!!!! My cat suffers from inflation of the bladder due to anxiety This has been an ongoing issue for years now. Dr Liston was always great to help my kitty out when she would get a flare up and he wouldn't try to add extra exams that weren't necessary just to make money off me. Unfortunately some of his other vets that work there only care about making money off vulnerable people that love their pets! Those kind of vets SHOULD be ashamed of themselves. I have transferred my pets files to a different vet. Will no longer go to Liston animal hospital due to the horrible service I received today thanks to Dr Van Krinigen! Shame on you!!!!

Dr. Liston has taken good care of my dogs over the past 25 years. He is easy to talk to and he never tries to up-sell.

Dr. Liston has a compassionate heart and provides exceptional care and professional guidance.
My three dogs were truly members of my family, and Dr. Liston and his staff always provided them with the most wonderful care during the years that I was lucky to have had them.
I would recommend Dr. Liston, in a heartbeat, to anyone looking for an awesome veterinarian.

Dr. Liston is an excellent vet, you don't feel like you are getting gouged every time you visit. In fact, he helped saved my cat's life by starting treatment without having to the very expensive cardiology testing that would have been forced on me by the vet at alta vista animal hospital. I highly recommend him.

I have been going to Doctor Liston for 10 years now. I would never go anywhere else. He is a truly dedicated Vet. His rates are very reasonable, and he doesn't try to get you have unnecessary treatments/tests.

I've been using this clinic for the last three years and take both my dogs and cats here. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to, they explain everything so I can understand, and they aren't shy about laying out the options and talking about their pros and cons (including cost). When I brought in my pug last year and they had to give me very bad news, they were very compassionate. The only downside is that they have limited facilities so I had to go to Alta Vista to get more detailed diagnostics. When the Liston clinic found out that I ultimately had to put down my pug, they sent me a thoughtful sympathy card. I still take my new pup to this clinic and my two cats. Currently, I'm working with one of their vet techs to help my cats lose some weight. She has been very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. Ultimately, I don't really know how the clinic's prices compare to other vets, but overall, I find the value worthwhile. I would definitely recommend the clinic.

I have been to a number of vets over the years and there is no question that this is the best I have found in Ottawa. It is the staff that make any clinic great and that is true for Liston -- caring, compassionate, and wonderful care. Lots of clinics say that they care about your pet - this place actually walks the walk.

There are a number of good veterinary clinics in Kanata and Liston's probably the best of them. I always recommend him to people looking for a vet

I had to take my dog back to the vet twice and was charged twice, for the same ear infection, you would think maybe discounted rate or something, I felt I was held hostage.

I started taking my lab to Dr. Liston over a year ago and have nothing but amazing things to say. Dr. Liston is as everyone else attest to a very kind, caring, and understanding vet. He is very upfront and honest about what is necessary. He is definitely cheaper than anywhere else I have gone. Thank you for taking such good care of my lab!

This is the BEST vet I have ever known. Dr. Liston is extremely professional and truly cares about not only the pets but also their owners. He does not recommend unnecessary treatments, is honest and upfront with his recommendations and their costs. When we had to put my dog down he was very empathetic and stayed with us until we were ready to go. The staff is extremely friendly and love the animals as much as we do. Please go see them once and you will never trust your pets to anyone else.

Dr Liston is gentle, kind, respective and understanding. it is obvious that he has a genuine love for animals, and will go above and beyond to make everything as comfortable as possible for your pet.
His staff are professional and also extremely caring for both pet and owners
I would not take my dogs anywhere else!

Dr Liston is great. He takes whatever time is necessary with you and only suggests tests/treatment if absolutely necessary. I don't feel like I'm being gouged and I know my pets are getting excellent care.

Make sure to see Dr Liston personnally, he is fantastic. I'm on a budget and love my 2 dogs. He respects me as a loving owner on a seniors budget, explains the costs then doesn't push me to pay for things that aren't absolutely necessary. He also staggers testing/shots so that both dogs aren't at the same time, not such a financial drain. I don't feel that his treatments are a money grad and my pets are well cared for.
