Been going here for years - prices have sky rocketed and can't afford $600 for a spay. Ridiculous. When I hear 'when it comes to my pets, there's no limit'... it's those folks that are ruining it for the rest of us.

Took our dog there for a urinary tract infection after hours. 400 dollars later two rounds of antibiotics were used. The antibiotics used were wrong and didnt work. Also said our dog had kidney disease. Took to our regular vet. Kidney values were fine no sign of kidney disease, and it still had a uti because the urine wasnt cultured like it should have been and the appropriate antiobiotics werent used. Also was double billed. Was reimbursed a small fraction of bill. Owner was very nice but have no confidence in bringing my dog there ever again.

Unfortunately, if you rate the staff and clinic as even ok, then the veterinary services you received appear ok. The vet I saw in June 2015 was unethical. Actually made up the diagnoses that was beyond ridiculous & then charged me $100's of dollars for same after I told him I was a senior on my own & had limited funds. Took my pet home & used common sense & he was fine.

Took our cat there for urinary crystals. The vet we saw seemed to know what to do, but he was not the vet that looked after him. Every vet in the place seemed to have a crack at our poor guy, but nothing ever got done, what with the conflicting orders to staff, etc. He got progressively worse, until the only choice was to send him to the rainbow bridge, and even then, they were trying to sell us more treatments at big prices that would not save his life. Avoid this place like the plague if your fur baby i sick, all they want is your money, and they don't really care about your pet.

Words cant describe how poor this clinic and others are in Kamloops. This clinic lost vital test results only to find them weeks later and inconclusive.They were more then happy to take another 500 for the same test. Their practice of prescribing high priced pain killers to mask the actual problem is more then immoral. Telling us to enjoy our time with our rescue (that we actually did rescue off the side of a road 10 years ago and not from a pound) before she dies, nice advice. The day when her cancer was to much we brought her in only to have this clinic give false hope by saying its probably just an infection and we should take xrays. This vet didn't even check her records because we already paid for xrays recently. Then when we decided not to pay these criminals more they said once your dog is dead its dead. They even had enough gull to make small chat while their so called professional tech ended our girls life. Your lack of respect wont be forgotten as you have already forgot us

When it comes to my dog's health money has never been an issue. That being said I can honestly say this vet clinic offered me absolutely fantastic care and compassion to my pet and me, for a comparable cost to several other clinics in town. I brought my dog in for a second opinion about a big abscess under his eye which had ruptured. I suspected this abscess was dental-related since it developed after he had a cleaning and several extractions done under GA only months before at a different clinic. He was seen a number of times for this ongoing issue without resolution but Riverside immediately booked him a dental which revealed several additional teeth (3 of which were carnassial teeth) with root abscesses that should have been removed before. They care, they are very skilled, and they are worth every penny for what they provide for our pets. Thank you

Our dog collapsed while travelling thru this area and by great luck, we brought him to this clinic. We received excellent and compassionate care and they saved his life. We can't say enough about the entire team! Highly recommend Riverside.

Please provide a rating about this vet. My dog became violently ill after getting sprayed. She was a vision of health before she got spayed at this clinic and then was diagnosed (by the same clinic) as having clostridium disease. Her pre-surgery blood work was perfect and she had no symptoms of anything being wrong with her. Twelve hours after leaving Riverside Animal Hospital she had very bloody stools with horrible diarrhea. I returned to the vet about 24 hrs after her surgery. They informed me she can clostridium bacteria in her lower bowl. I purchased medication for her and then they sent us on our way. As the week progressed, so did the diarrhea with vomiting to add to her symptoms. She has had NO energy and began whining. I brought her back in yesterday due to her symptoms. They asked to keep her over night to give her an I.V and medication. I just picked her up and she's still sick and very tired. Getting my dog sprayed has officially cost nearly $1100.00. Poor puppy....

I have 2 puppies and I was impressed at how well we have been treated. My questions have always been answered and the treatment and follow up to a sick puppy were excellent. I was expecting the cost to be higher than it was. Everything is always itemized and I was consulted as to the treatment and whether it was affordable to me and other arrangements could be made. My Vet is awesome the puppies just love her. I have been impressed at how clean and serene the atmosphere is at the clinic, this really helps keep the animals calm. Most people do not ask enough questions or do not ask for clarification. i would recommend this clinic to anyone without hesitation. Thank you for taking such good care of my "boys".

the vet I have seen with my 2 dogs is too focused on 'alternative therapy and milking the emotional attachment we have to our pets. Some of the front staff forget that they are not vets and should not be offering opinions on ones pet over the phone when all one wants is an appointment.

These vets are only in it for the money. They do not care about the animals, and will prescribe medication to satisfy the human where the animal need it or not. They are highway robbers. I have a dog that I sold to my brides maid, she is a always sick herself and thinks her dog is also always sick, but it is not. These vets find her to be an easy mark and have this healthy dog on all kinds of medication.

I really like this Vet, it is clean, the staff are very friendly and I have never had to wait when I have had an appointment. I actually changed Vet's because I always ended up waiting for 15 to 30 minutes. They also have the lowest prices I've noticed. I recently got my cat spayed and it was about $50 cheaper then everyone else in town. They gave me an update on how she was doing after the surgery and even gave me a box to take her home in because she was so freaked out, they didn't want her to hurt herself. They also called two days later to see how she was doing and if her wound was healing properly. I got none of that when my dog was neutered at another vet. I would definitely recommend this vet to everyone:)

I have been to a number of vet clinics over the years. It is really hit and miss with this clinic. Sometimes the staff are great, friendly and helpful. Other times they have lost track of records, added items that were not ours to our account and charged us twice for one item on 2 separate occasions. Two of the vets I would recommend in a heartbeat, they are friendly, knowledgable and seem to generally enjoy their job.

Can be pricey, especially compared to a smaller town. Beautiful facility, great staff. Vets are fairly traditional, but the animal care is exemplary. They care so much.
